For airport food I didn’t think this place was that bad. The service was fast and I saw the staff helping clean up quite often. I had the Chicago dog which was really good. It’s kinda hard to mess up a hot dog though. It looked like they had a nice selection of salads too.

I can’t say I was craving a hot dog at eight o’clock in the morning(although it has happened before), but I satisfied my tummy with a breakfast wrap. Without looking back at the menu, it was filled with egg whites, salsa, guac… all on a spinach wrap. It was delicious! Full of flavor and pretty refreshing for airport food. Convinced that everything was great here, despite only trying one thing and noting the three star rating, I tried a chicken pita wrap with fries. Blagh. The chicken lacked any sort of marinade, which kind of defeats the purpose of being a pita wrap. It felt like I was just eating a slathering of tzatziki sauce and some variation of chicken. The fries gave me a tummy ache. Maybe I was just starving and ate too quickly, but I ended up throwing a good portion of them in the garbage. Service was okay. Airport food service. I don’t expect a lot.

I had a layover at the Chicago airport so I had to have my try at having an authentic Chicago hot dog. American dogs was definitely an obvious place to eat at. My sister and I both ordered a chicago hot dog and she got a complete meal with fries and a drink. The juicy hot dog was delicious. It had a different taste to regular relish and the pickles were flavorful and gushing with flavor. My favor had to be the hot peppers that complimented the hot dog paring. It’s definitely a different take on the Nyc hot dog that has sauerkraut in it. If I had to choose id go with the Chicago hotdog any day. Hotdog with celery salt bun with tomato, pickes, hot peppers, mustard and relish. I added mayo to my dog and it balanced the acidity of the pickles. My sister loved her hot dog but her fries were soggy and cold. It was no problem because they made her a fresh batch and the fries were crisp to perfection. Overall we enjoyed the experience. I ended up buying a bottle of their hot peppers in a jar as a souvenir and for when I make my own take on a Chicago style hot dog at home. Very good for having food at the airport. Although I didn’t get to visit Chicago outside of the airport; my layover was worth it trying my first take on the classic Chicago style hot dog.

I had a layover here and got the hot dog with pulled pork and slaw. Maybe I was just super hungry but I thought it was delicious for being an airport place!

I ate here twice during my travel – both coming and going. The first was a veggie omelette for breakfast. No cheese, and the egg was cooked to death. It almost seemed like she wanted to brown the eggs. When I say overdone I’m not being dramatic. It still satisfied better than a muffin would. On my return trip I got the Chicago Dog combo. Dog, fries, and a drink for $ 9.95. The dog is what saved this review and I’m so glad I stopped again. I will be back for the dog every year travel through Chicago. The combination might sound strange, but it’s amazing. Mustard, Relish, Onion, Sports Peppers, Tomato, Quartered Pickle, and Celery Salt. Don’t pass it up!

This is a solid spot in O’hare to grab a bite. I love the concept of different hot dogs based on location — I still maintain that the Chicago dog is the best hot dog. Portions are slightly on the smaller side given the price, but that’s what I’d expect out of an airport. I took away one star for the awfulness of their breakfast sandwich, which was arguably the worst one I’ve ever had(how do you mess this up?). Just stick to the dogs!

Wrong relish on a Chicago dog at the place«voted No1 hot dog in Chicago»…Pretty embarrassing. Also, the tomatoes were bad so I had to remove them.

Their breakfast menu is super fancy. I asked them for a simple fried egg sandwich and boy did they deliver. The guy — in plain sight — just fries an egg and then puts it on a sandwich. For airport food this is amazing. For fast breakfast food, this place is still pretty good. Also, their prices are super reasonable.

When you’re sitting at the airport contemplating why you decided to buy the 3hr stop over flight, you think to yourself«why did I decide to be so cheap». Well as I was thinking about that, I walked by America’s Dog, with quite the line for an airport take out place. Why not? I said to myself as I thought of the best food Chicago has to offer(Deep Dish/Hot Dogs). I ordered the Chicago Style hot dog, because I was in Chicago! Yes the home of Kanye, Common and the now famous Chief Keef. I wondered, would this dog live up to the name of «America’s #1 Hot Dog»? When I first opened the box, to my surprise I thought I ordered the Veggie dog, because all I saw was pickle. Yes a giant pickle was sitting in my bun covering anything else that happened to be stuffed inside. Before I flipped the table and demanded my money back, I turned over the green monstrosity and saw a dog and toppings inside. I gave it a bite and yeah it was good! Probably because I was suffering from extreme starvation from the 2 crackers offered to me by American Airlines during my 6hr flight. Or maybe it was because the pickle added that zing, it needed. All in all it was a great dog. Definitely not the best I’ve had, but yeah give it a try, no lie!

Maybe they know how to heat a preconformed pork sheath, but don’t trust them for breakfast. The Mexican breakfast wrap had so many off flavors I only had a few bites. French toast was made of the worst white bread so it was really like square shaped eggs to dip into corn syrup. A sad start to today’s travel…

It’s a Chicago dog, in the Chicago airport, and it is OK and will do the trick, though it is not as good as if you are actually going into town or live here where the poppy-seeded loaded hotdog with pickle, pepper, relish, mustard and onion really is done right! Still, not half bad…

Cool that they got all these different kinds of hot dogs. Not sure if the hot dog style is actually from there or if they jus made ish up. Overall the hot dog was ok. What do u expect its airport food… and its a hot dog… But if i was at that airport again id probably try another one.

Wanted something more focused and genuine to Chi-town but who knew they have dogs from all over the U.S. I guess that’s ok but my mantra is stick to what you know. Got the ‘all-natural jumbo Chicago dog’. Taste-wise still pretty good albeit a bit too chewy. Recommend.

The Chicago Style hotdog is a must try! I had never eaten a «Chicago Style» hotdog before passing through Chicago O’Hare International Airport. I figured if the airport was all I was to see of Chicago this trip, then I might as well eat a Chicago favorite. We each ordered one jumbo Chicago dog and went back for another. They are made on a sesame seed bun with relish, onion, sports peppers, tomatoes, mustard, and a large dill sliced pickle. The sports peppers are amazing! American Dog had plenty of seating, condiments, and even outlets to charge your electronics. They service was quick and friendly, and the restaurant was very clean.

I thought this might be an upgrade over standard airport food… I guessed wrong. Hotdogs were overflowed with toppings to the point you could not taste the dog. The french fries were soggy and the chili and cheese were basic. Save the calories.

I’ve had every Chicago dog in ORD. This one is the best. Sadly, the Vienna Beef place only sells jumbo hotdogs… the ratio is all off. So, why running between planes, this is where I get my snack on. Just repeat after me: «Two Chicago Dogs Please». Don’t may extra for the ‘natural’ dog… seriously what are they thinking? It’s like offering an extended warranty.

I don’t think I like the Chicago styled hot dogs. They’re very sour and pickled trading. They have a lot of options, so really read through the menu and figure out what you think you’d like. They’re decently priced for airport food. They made my hot dog pretty quick! I wouldn’t say it was great or bad. I definitely like their selection though. Lots of options! :)

Can I just say, this is a perfectly viable breakfast option at a food graveyard otherwise known as the airport. The franks are salty and tasty and freshly heated in front of my eyes. The cashier is delightful and wishes me a safe flight. I’ll be back, some day.

Great hot dog! There’s some cramped seating in the front of the establishment, and I was able to snag a bar seat. I didn’t specify what size I wanted for my hot dog(regular or jumbo) and the cashier rang me up for a jumbo– I guess she thought I could handle it… and she was right. :) I also saw one worker take the crinkle sweet potato fries from the fryer and straight into my bag– awesome. The hot dog was good(albeit small for a jumbo), and the bun was chewy and soft. For those looking for an «authentic» Chicago hot dog. why are you looking for it at the airport? And to those who are more realistic, this is pretty decent airport food, especally considering the food options at my home base(PHL) are abysmal.
