History
Established in 2009.
After working as an event planner for four years at Shedd Aquarium, owner Elizabeth left her job to travel in South America for six months. Upon her arrival back to Chicago she realized that she could (and wanted to!) go at it alone. Her desire to offer a reasonable priced event planning service that was fun, modern and unique led her to launch Anticipation Events in August of 2009.

Business Owner
Prior to founding Anticipation Events, Elizabeth worked as an event planner at Shedd Aquarium. In early 2009 she left her job to travel in South America for six months; after scaling the Andes, traversing the jungle, and swimming with sea turtles, she came back and launched Anticipation Events!
From sparkling black-tie galas to intimate wedding ceremonies, Elizabeth has the experience to make your event a success. Having coordinated lunch-time board meetings for 20 and evening cocktail parties for 1000, Elizabeth has the flexibility and the creativity to translate your vision into a flawless event.
Elizabeth graduated from Miami University (Ohio) with a bachelor’s degree in communications, and has nearly completed another degree in fashion marketing at the Illinois Institute of Art. She thrives under pressure, excels at dealing in details and does it all with a smile. She lives in Chicago’s West Wicker Park neighborhood with her boyfriend and their cacti.
