They were amazing! They arrived earlier than expected (which was preferred) and got right to work. I moved from a studio with an elevator to a 2br on the 3^rd floor with no stairs and the workers remained efficient, kind and professional. I’d never purchased movers before but as I was looking around I saw ridiculous rates. Applied was by far the most reasonable and because of that I felt I had to tip them for their amazing services. They have their own truck and even wrap anything delicate for you. I have a cheap target dresser that I didn’t think would make the move, but it arrived just as it was before, plus, I left things inside!
Definitely go with this company. You will not regret it. You’ll get quoted 2 – 3 times more elsewhere for only half of the hard work this company does.
I’ll definitely be using them again.

This review is long overdue. I contacted Applied Moving Systems in September to assist with moving my one-​bedroom apartment. Many of the estimates I received were super high and the leg-​work to get these estimates were pretty intensive. However, when I called Applied Movers, ZICO gave me a phone estimate and booked my move which was about a week away. ZICO maintained awesome communication and even took care of some last minute logistics associated with insurance bonding that my new building had failed to bring-​up until a day before my move. Zico’s communication with my building was professional and direct, easily problem solving an issue that would have otherwise forced me to reschedule my move.
The movers showed-​up just a little early and were joined by ZICO. Upon arrival, Zico immediately notified me that my bid would likely be slightly more because there was more than expected. At first, I was a little skeptical of this, but as I watched Zico and the two other movers quickly and professionally manage my move it was abundantly clear that this was not a bait and switch price increase, but a legitimate and honest representation of the job at hand. The movers brought padding and tape and even went above and beyond helping my mother and I to pack some things that were not ready for transport. They easily navigated what were some random and oddly thrown together packaging on my-​part, reinforcing where necessary.
I CAN NOT STRESS ENOUGH THAT THE MOVERS WERE SUPER POLITE, FAST, HARD-​WORKING AND VERY VERY PROFESSIONAL. As a single female and a student, I really value the honesty, hard-​work, respect, and efficiency of Zico and his staff. The move was completed right on time and payment was easily distributed. Make sure to have cash on-​hand for the tip because these guys really earn and deserve the gratuity. Not a single item was broken, damaged, or missing and Zico even made sure to show me the truck upon completion to assure that nothing was being left behind. Although the price went up slightly because I had more than anticipated, the total bill with tip was still much less than what I would have paid elsewhere. WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE, I WILL DEFINITELY USE AGAIN!!! STUDENT FRIENDLY/​FAIR & ACCURATE PRICING/​FEMALE FRIENDLY!!!

We were searching for a great moving company and let me tell you ! These guys did a great job, i set up the move over the phone and was quoted with a decent price (mind you all the other companies i called wanted almost 1500 for a move across the parking lot to a new townhouse). So my husband said lets go with Applied Movers. They showed up in time and they covered all furniture & mattresses and taped up some boxes we didn’t, moved all items to to exact rooms in the new place and not one thing was damaged ! I have moved cross country several times and never ever have we had such good service as this group. Will defiantly use Zico and his group again. Very pleased ! Thank you again !!

It started out fine the guy showed up 20 minutes early and that was good. I was to have a truck with 4 men. However the moving team wasn’t with him when he got there so instead of starting at 9AM we started at 9:30AM. I was easy about that but I had to ask that he not start charging me until things were actually being moved out. He said okay. 2 guys that got there were great and moved quickly and with ease. One of the guys has asthma and was allergic to pets so he was having a hard time breathing and looked as though he would pass out. We all told him to sit it out. The fourth guy picked up like 3 items and that was it for him. It took them form 9:30AM to 11:45 to get me out of my place. They were moving around slow and making 2 guys do all the work. They talked me out of 2 men and to 4 that cost more but would be cheaper ion the end. LIES! The entire move was from 9:30AM to 2:30PM. I moved with in the same area so it wasn’t far in distance I just got screwed and paid 580.00 for 2 guys to work and 2 to sit it out!!! BS!!! I gave 40.00 for a tip because that was it! Never again!

This company is awesome they have great customer service, honest with their cost, no hidden fees, and smart movers. I live on the fourth floor with no elevator and these guys came in with a plan and worked extremely efficiently! They got the job done in less than three hours. I was very impressed with their work. !!! I’ve already referred them to two other people and will be using them again in the future.

We had Applied Moving help with our move in June 2015. Dealing with Zico was no-​nonsense and straightforward.
The team came 15 minutes before time, and they got going well. Again, no nonsense. They worked well together as a team and were efficient. They managed the move well.
When I needed some help a couple of days later to move the remaining stuff, Zico again was flexible. He arranged for moving the remaining items too.

Absolutely fantastic service! I found them on here and we got everything set up. They were on time, professional, and above all very quick! We were done in an hour and a half (we were moving up two floors in the same building, but no elevator.) My boyfriend and I didn’t have to move a thing. Don’t know about the other bad review (maybe just an off day) but our experience well exceeded our expectations. Everything start to finish was smooth and simply perfect. You guys will be the first ones we’ll call for our next move!
Will definitely use again and recommend to everyone.

After using Applied Moving Systems to move my father-​in-​law and had a great experience, we decided to hire them for our own move across the city this last week. The team consisted of four guys that were super quick and efficient — and very friendly. Everything was wrapped and they even helped us pack up a few things. Not a single thing broke and they moved us from a 3^rd floor unit. Great pricing as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Do not hesitate to book them!

Great company, great workers, great price! I used applied to move from the suburbs to the city this past weekend. The movers were phenomenal! Courteous, on time, efficient and respectful. This could have easily been a very stressful event and they made it a breeze! Also – the price cannot be beat. We were initially going to rent a U-​Haul to help my daughter move. The trouble was trying to get the time we requested, the pickup location, and trying to coordinate with friends to help her move. Feeling stressed and overwhelmed by all the details, we finally decided to pay a little more and hire professional movers. So glad we opted for that because the guys Zico sent over were truly amazing! We estimated it would have taken us at least over an hour to move things onto a truck ourselves. To our amazement, these guys moved everything out in under 15 minutes! Total time for loading, unloading and driving time was under 90 minutes. These guys were freakishly fast and so efficient! Another thing that warrants mentioning — my daughter’s roommate had already moved in a couple of boxes the day before. Apparently, the roommate did a horrible job of stacking so the boxes were at a slant. One of the movers even stopped and restacked the boxes so they were perfectly aligned. My daughter and I were totally in awe of the service, speed, efficiency, friendliness of the movers, their attention to detail and especially the cost. Applied Moving will definitely be getting a lot of referrals from me. Awesome job, guys!

DO NOT USE APPLIED MOVING SYSTEMS!!! I had booked them more than two weeks in advance to move me, called a week before to confirm because I never got any confirmation and called at noon the day of (they were supposed to move me at 5). A little after 5 I call to see how far they are and the man who answered said he’d call my movers to find out and let me know. Ten minutes later I call because I had still had not heard from him and was told they’d be to me in like 20 minutes. When they were still not there I called again and was told that police barricaded the truck in and the main guy was going to the police station to talk to the police and he’d call me when he knew more, extremely sketchy. Bottom line they never showed up and despite me calling about 5 times that night to find out when they’d be to me he never even had the decency to answer/​call me back and completely screwed me over.

These guys were fantastic! The total came in under estimate and they were FAST FAST FAST. They were the best price of all the highly rated moving companies — I must have called 50 or more to get quotes.
They had top notch professionalism, timeliness, and care. One small glass did break in transit, but they moved two truckloads of stuff, so what broke was not a big deal. The guys were friendly and nice. Everything went very smoothly, even though we had one pick up location and 3 drop-​offs.
Will definitely use them again!

Absolutely mind blown! I made the decision to hire movers last minute and called these guys. They came the next day, EARLY and busted ass to get everything done in the time I had booked for. They were courteous and efficient and just great guys overall! They were incredibly mindful of my belongings, meticulously pointing out pre-​existing damages and being extra careful with items that I had carelessly packed. They finished early too!!! They were SO affordable. I highly recommend!!!

100% professional from start to finish. Fantastic service. My moves are always expensive as I have a library of books and kitchen items galore. This move cost me almost half of what I’ve paid in the past and no bs with this extra, that extra, etc. Looked forward to using a truly local company and will use again in the future without hesitation.

Where do i begin? These guys are FANTASTIC! I moved from Gold Coast to Lincoln Park. They came early (which was fine) and two guys (JR and … sorry I am blanking on the other guy’s name) and were VERY EFFICIENT. They carefully wrapped all of my large items/TV’s.
When we got to my new place they even assembled my stuff and asked where I wanted things instead of just dumping it in the middle of the floor. They were kind, courteous and funny!
The whole move was extremely reasonable and even though it took longer than expected they didn’t charge me extra!
I would recommend these guys in a heart beat and plan on using them anytime i move. They are about as good as it gets. RECOMMEND, 5 STARS, GOLDEN SERVICE! Zico is the best!

These folks were absolutely phenomenal. They arrived promptly, and were incredibly efficient in getting a substantial amount of furniture (read: a full bedroom, living room and dining set) down three, terrifying, flights of stairs in under an hour. Which they then managed to Tetris into a 4×10 storage unit.
The only problem we had was at my storage unit, where we spent an hour waiting for another truck to get out of our way. Despite the set back, the guys were incredibly upbeat and patient.
Definitely will be using them again.
