Dr. Basti was highly recommended to me by 2 of his former patients. He did cataract surgery on my eyes. He was very thorough, explained everything, listened and answered all of my questions, and gave me a few choices and recommendations. I am very happy with the results.

Dr. Basti is the best! He is kind, polite, listens to you, is an amazing surgeon and general eye doctor. He is patient as can be and has a kind spirit too.

Dr. Basti is as fantastic as they come.
I went in because I had chronic red eyes. I had been told by many an Optometrist that if steroid drops weren’t working and taking a break from my contacts didn’t help then I was just stuck with this condition. I was referred to Dr. Basti by a woman I met who couldn’t say better things about him. I went in and he slowly eased me in to his grand plan: stop wearing contacts, fix my dryness and ultimately get PRK surgery to permanently fix my eyes.
I had a tough time with the wearing of my glasses as I have always hated myself in glasses. But every time I would come in to get checked he wouldn’t just tell me I was on pace, he would actually praise me for listening to him! I became quite excited to see him because I left feeling so proud of myself. I was taking care of me. And Dr. Basti was rooting for me.
Fast forward a couple short months and I had my PRK surgery. He stays on the course, for sure. Now– I just had my three month check-​in after surgery and apparently I have perfect eyes! No dryness, no redness and no vision impairments anymore.
I have to say, I walked out feeling sad I wouldn’t see him for another 9 months. It felt good, going in every time and making him proud of me. I know it sounds silly– but I bought into everything he was trying to do for me. I stopped seeing him as doctor and started seeing him as a mentor for the health of my eyes. He’s modest and brilliant. I will never go back to an Optometrist for anything. In fact, i will only go back to Dr. Surendra Basti for as long as we’re both still around. See him. He’ll change your life.

This review was a hard one for me to write because it deals with a personal
medical issue that I was recently treated for.
But. I feel like I have a new lease on life so. I have chosen to do this.
I had been having vision problems for quite a while and unfortunately
my condition was left untreated for far too long.
So. after my 1^st. initial exam with Dr. Basti I was informed that I had a cataract
which had covered up my whole right eye. I had no vision in right eye whatsoever.

So. Dr. Basti performed the first of 2 eye surgeries on January 10.2013 and the 2^nd.
procedure just took place on January 16^th.2013.
Well. I am forever indebted to Dr. Surrendra Basti because he has restored my vision.
This man is Brilliant, Compassionate and cared so much about the fact that I had
been impaired by my loss of vision so much
He treated me so well, with so much care, he explained everything about the procedures
he would be performing and he made me feel at ease.
Cause, Boy, was I scared!
Dr. Basti is one of the most professional Doctors and one of the best human
beings I have ever met.
And. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Basti and to his entire staff who were so
kind to me
But. what this man has done is not only has he restored my vision.
But. he has restored my faith in myself.
