Bedazzled Nails and Spa

I’m very unsure how this nail salon had such great reviews. I had made two appointments, one for a new set for my friend and myself a fill. We were there at 1 for our appointment and had to wait until 130 to start. We both get acrylic nails with coffin shape. Only one lady out of 7 can shape nails a“and we have to go one at a time we are told. There was s group of office ladies there where we were there as well… Very crowded small place. I mean no disrespect but the main lady is older and has a bit of a shake… Probably has not brushed up on her skills in 20 years. .
So she does my girlfriends nails and they look okay, a few are not the same shape but she was just happy to have them done after we looked for awhile for a well reviewed place.
Now for my nails, I travel all the time and generally in la, Miami & NYC it’s very easy to find quality nail salons that are up with the times. She starts with my nails, I needed 1 fixed and then the rest reshaped & a fill (what I had booked for) as I had them done in DC and the shape needed some tweaking.
She filed my nails so much that the acrylic was almost gone and then starts to put the colour on… Wait what?!? I asked for a fill I said. She responds she’s been doing nails so long just trust her. I was honestly exhausted so I said ok. I keep my nails long so knew these wouldn’t last long but couldn’t sit there any longer. The colour goes into the Crease of my nail and it looks like my 5 year old cousin put the color on… 4 days later and 5 of 10 fingernails are busted. I’m not hard on my hands nor are they extra long. It was just an awful experience and waste of 100 $. I would never go back.

I stopped in since this is right around the corner from my apartment and brought in a picture of ombré nails that I found on Pinterest. Cindy spent almost 2 hours with me to get my nails to look as close to the picture as possible and was nothing but patient and kind. I would definitely recommend this salon as the staff was nice and the salon was clean and very busy. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because I did spent a lot of time there but it was out of good intention.

Sandi did a good job on my gel nails! I show her the Japanese complex nail style and she doing her best for me. And I really love it! As you see it is beautiful and elegant! Highly recommend ~

Visited Bedazzled without an appointment after walking around downtown. They took me right away for a Pedicure. The pedicure looks fabulous and the foot massage was amazing! Great color selection and the staff is very nice. I was in and out within and hour but was not rushed either.

Emergency holiday nails done right! Thanks to the owner for getting me in just two hours after I arrived in Chicago with a damaged manicure. She took the time to properly clean off my old shellac, buff my nails, trim
those healthy cuticles and apply three coats of a beautiful, glossy fir green color appropriate for the holidays. I really appreciate the extra time and care taken on short notice. Will be back next year!

I love this place !!! Cindy does an amazing job and is so sweet and really makes you feel welcome !! They were able to take care of me right away! Definitely coming here from now on every time. Gel nails are w speciality service that I’ve been getting for years and it’s hard to find someone that does it so well.

I’m from New York and always love trying new nail places. This place was by far worth all the hype. Although I had to wait about 35 minutes to get my manicure, it was well worth the wait. The selection they have is very big! I tried their organic Zoya line. Highly recommend it! Next time I’m in Chicago I will definitely come back!

My BF and I went here yesterday for: Him– Pedi, Me: Mani/​Pedi
Started kind of rough with a language barrier, we wanted to see a brochure with all the services. Ended up with them trying to explain the the two options for pedi’s. They said it comes with a hot stone massage, masque and paraffin. My BF got a girl who was on her phone for a bit, so he got a one hand massage. She dropped the stone on the ground, picked it up and started to still massage him with it! I had to bring it to her attention that it was unsanitary for her to be doing that and to change the stone.
My lady kept going over the bony part of my ankles with the stones with hurt and she kept banging the stones together every time she went up in a motion circle.
That was annoying and painful. There was a miscommunication with my nail painting, I wanted a French on my toes and an off white on my nails, she proceeded to do french on my toes and off white layer on top. luckily it was an easy fix.
She wrapped my nails in acetone (since I had gel) which was fine… until she kept them on there for 30 minutes. My fingers were starting to burn at that point, I had to ask her to take it off. My gel came off immediately while she was taking the foil off. It was obviously well soaked… My BF was supposed to get a mani, but since the pedi was terrible he didn’t want to get a mani. I still proceeded to try and give them a chance to fix my nails. And I will say they passed on that part. Overall experience was a disappointment. We are from CA so it’s not a regular thing. But when we go come back to Chicago, we’ll go somewhere else.

I have been getting the no chip gel manicure for awhile no. I have always had short nails and because of the no chip I have been able to grown out my nails. They are now long and feel much stronger. I love the feeling of fake nails and when I get 2 – 3 coats of the gel they feel fake! So many colors to choose from! Definitely plan on continuing to come to bedazzled !!! Love this place!

I’ve been here a few times and the service and atmosphere is amazing! Super clean, cute tropical environment with bar-​style manicure tables. They also have an extensive selection of Essie and OPI nail polish/​gel. Usually I would expect a nail salon like this to be pricey, but prices are comparable to most nail salons in Chicago.
I always go to Cindy, who is great at doing my acrylic nails exactly how I want them. She usually gives extra service free of cost if you are a loyal customer (free repair/​polish change, free design). I definitely recommend her for acrylic tips!

Ms Cindy and her staff are fabulous. Kim, the receptionist is always on her toes taking care of every customer that comes in the door. The decorations and atmosphere is breathtaking. I really enjoyed my experience here. Ms Cindy took her time and did a fabulous job on my nails. I found this place on Unilocal.Thank you so much. They have so many colors to choose from.

Acrylic nail clients beware! I decided to try this place because it had 4.5 star review yet I only received 2.5 star service. I am visiting for the weekend so I thought I would pamper myself with a pedicure and get my acrylic nails filled. My pedicure was pretty good, average, I’d say. But my nails were a different story. The owner was super nice and has been in business for many years but I think it may be time for her to put down her dremmel. My nails were misshapen, rough and and had acrylic & glue stuck underneath them. I had to go to the drug store and buy nail polish remover, a file and buffer block to try to fix them. Thankfully I brought my own polish so that I could salvage my nails for the rest of my trip.

Walked in looking to get an acrylic fill w a very specific sharp.
Being my first time I naturally had questions, that were answered in a polite & professional fashion.
Cindy did my shaping & color, & eyebrows. She did great. any time I had a concern she humbly fixed it.
Reasonably priced & offers discounts if you pay in cash.
Make sure to go during off hours because I fear that place getting packed fast.
I’ve very please and would happily return.

I was in Chicago and had a few hours before I needed to head to O’Hare, so I decided to visit Bedazzled based on its wonderful Unilocal reviews. I went in for a walk-​in, and Cindy greeted me and sat me down for a no-​chip mani. My entire experience was wonderful — my manicure was beautiful, Cindy was kind, and I could tell Cindy and the rest of the staff were so greatly appreciated by the regulars who sat around me. I will definitely visit again the next time I’m in Chicago.

Update:
After posting my Unilocal review, business owner Lily contacted me immediately. She was upset with the service I received and took immediate action. She invited me back to the salon to chat.
The next day I stopped by and shared my concerns with her about the mani pedi I had received. She let me share my thoughts, apologized on behalf of her salon and offered me a full refund.
I was very impressed with her leadership skills and taking action. Lily encouraged me to visit again during my next trip to Chicago and I’ll be sure to take her up on her offer.

The saying goes «you get what you pay for» and at this nail salon I was paying for their rent– not for their service.
I’m not from Chicago and desperately needed a mani pedi during my stay. Unilocal reviews helped me choose bedazzled nails because of the high reviews… But here’s why I disagree:
After calling ahead and being told there is «absolutely no wait» I ran over from my hotel to wait for just under 30 mins. It wasn’t until I looked obviously annoyed that someone was sent to begin my pedicure.
I felt rushed and was 100% treated differently from their regular customers. I guess I didn’t look like a big spender.
Only plus was I paid in cash and showed a coupon from Unilocal to save about $ 6– which brought my high priced mani pedi to just overpriced.
Needless to say I was disappointed in the services today. If this salon was back home I’d be sure to tell my friends not to waste their time or money.

My usual go-​to nail salon (Arbre Nails) wasn’t able to accommodate me for a last minute mani/​pedi so I decided to check out this place instead. Bedazzled is a cute, small salon which makes great use of space. I got a pedicure and no-​chip manicure with Sandy, who did a wonderful job. She was very thorough and gave relaxing hand and leg massages.
They have a loyalty card program in which you get $ 15 off your 10^th visit (or maybe it’s after your 10^th visit). Also, keep in mind that they give you a couple dollars off if you pay in cash instead of credit card.
Overall I’m very happy with my experience and will definitely come back!
