I love this store a lot and the people that work there are very nice. A lots of beer, wine and liquor for you to choose and the best part is the Ben and jerry they have. Thank you best buy

Ummmm Well there aren’t many other options for grocery stores in the area. Yeah, I saw the selection of Ben & Jerry’s. I’d more rather go to Margies… A little over priced.

Okay, this place has the best selection of Ben & Jerry’s that I have ever seen in any store, ever. And that includes a B&J Scoop Shop. They also have an awesome selection of beer(and cider!) and wine. The food selections are amazingly diverse as well — sure, I’ve never been there explicitly for the squid ink pasta, but I noticed it and was amazed at its presence. All in all? The perfect corner shop. It’s not a grocery store, obviously. But for a corner shop? I can’t imagine a better one.

I’ve been going here for years for my relatively sad spread of frozen dinners, cat food, paper towels and certainly an excessive amount of wine and vodkas. They started carrying Frontera salsa a while back and had the BEST one, corn and poblano, stocked for quite sometime. A few weeks ago I noticed they no longer had it. I walked up to the counter with my best Bambi eyes(which, for as small as they are, not very convincing), asking if they were going to stock it again. One of the owners(the older gentleman) didn’t totally seem to know what salsa I was talking about but said he’d talk to their distributor. Lo and behold, I stopped in there tonight and YAAY! They had the salsa! I brought it to the counter and the same gentleman said he remembered me asking for it. Yeah, these guys may give off that vibe of disinterest, but in general, top service. This is why I love nothing more than to patronize my small, local businesses. If you’re a regular, they will be awesome enough to order something you request. Thanks, guys. :)

Do you guys like Ben & Jerry’s? You do? Me too. I just moved to the area and this place has the best selection of Ben & Jerry’s I’ve ever seen at a corner store. They beat the crap out of Jewel or Walgreens. They have the REDVELVET flavor!!! They have Imagine Whirled Peas! They have Milk N Cookies! They have pretty much all my favorite flavors. Obviously, if I want one serving of amazing ice cream, I will go across the street to Margie’s Candies. However, sometimes I am a selfish person and want something sweet that lasts more than a day. A pint of Ben & Jerry’s will last probably three days if I’m good, or two days if it’s that time of the month. Amen? Amen. Anyways. I just wanted to comment on the Ben & Jerry’s because the selection literally made my jaw drop(and the jaw-dropping caused the hubby much embarrassment). I also like that this place has the essentials… enough to get by in between trips to the grocery store. They even have my favorite almond milk(the 40 calorie kind so I have enough calories left to eat more Ben & Jerry’s)!

I can’t really complain about anything. You don’t go to a small grocery/liquor store and scrutinize everything. Especially if you found what you were looking for. I needed chicken broth and apple juice and I found it, paid for it and left after checking out the nice beer selection. Maybe next time I’ll find some detail to complain about. Also… coconut juice in a can. How the hell can you go wrong with that?

This is possibly the best corner store EVER! Not only do they have a little bit of everything, from paprika, to frozen pizza, to combination locks, their beer/liquor/wine selection rivals nearly all convenience stores I’ve ever been in — especially for their tiny footprint. One exception: No fresh produce. Huge selection of craft beers and wine; tons of organic/whole foods(even milk!). Staff knows and remembers regulars. Good hours(usually open til 11). Final verdict: this place is one of the reasons I love living in this area!

I don’t know if this address is correct and frankly, I don’t care. I go to the Best Buy at least every other day and I love it. It’s a comprehensive convenience mart with all of the amenities… Floor mats to wipe your winter woes upon, fans in the summer… There are four people who work here, as far as I can tell. Three of them are Arabic. One of them is a black guy. The black guy is large and has dreadlocks and he once gave me a new Heineken Keg Can because the one I selected was warmer than the others. That was really nice. The other three run the register… One of them has short hair and a mustache. On a Christmas milk-trip, he asked why I wasn’t with my family. Knowing that he had no idea I was 500 miles from home, I played along. «What, you have no family today?» He asked. «Oh, I do, but they’re all far away.» «I see. And you do not go to see them?» «No, I couldn’t get the day after Christmas off of work.» «Oh, oh. Your boss, he is an asshole, yes? Probably he is big asshole,» he suggested. «He is.» «Okay, okay. That is fine. You will maybe have the day off. Play basketball today.» While I was puzzled, I was satisfied with his response. He suggested I go play basketball on a 19 degree day. Arabic people love basketball for some reason. Anyway, there are two other guys. Actually, one is more of a kid. He can’t be a day over 16 and he never rings anything up, only sacks it. His partner(uncle, father?) does the cashiering and always does so in a friendly, if not disinterested manner(remember, they’re Arabic). They call me «pal» or «buddy» and round down on the dollar amount owed. I guess that’s what happens when you’re WAY too frequent of a customer. All in all, great place. Everything from rat-traps to Ramen noodles, and a pretty extensive wine selection to boot.

BEWARE! Counterfeit Wine Sales — My boyfriend and I went to a little Italian Restaurant down the street from this liquor store. It was BYOB so he decided to run to the closest store to get us a bottle of wine. The selection was limited, but he ended up with a bottle of Francis Coppola Cabernet/Sav. We had never had this kind before and thought it was decent, but nothing to write home about. Later, during our meal he noticed that the name on the cork did not match that of the bottle. He thought it sounded familiar, but couldn’t quite place it so he showed it to me and we both realized what it was; Charles Shaw, otherwise known as 3 buck-chuck! He paid $ 17.99 for the bottle. We stopped at Jewel on our way home and they had the same bottle of Coppola so we bought it $ 23.99). Now, we thought maybe Charles Shaw just corks the wine for him or something like that, but when we opened the other bottle the next day low and behold, it had a matching Francis Coppola cork and it tasted much different! In all fairness to the store, I’ve read that wine counterfeiting can happen(with distributors) even before the wine hits the store so it may not have been intentional by this store or it’s management, however be aware if you buy liquor from these smaller discount liquor stores.
