Buffy all the way, FYI they no longer have the basement area so Buffy is now located upstairs with everyone she’s chair # 5 she’s still the best at taming my eyebrows! Lol highly recommend her!

Do not go here! I just took my three year old daughter with special needs there to get a haircut and we were refused service by 3 different stylist. At one point the lady at the front desk went up to one of the stylist who was doing absolutely nothing and explained to her my daughter with special needs needed a haircut and she outright said«no». For a business that’s been doing this for over 20 years you should be ashamed of yourselves.

There’s few guys that give good haircut at this shop. One is Khalid at #6, there’s few others but no need to mention them. I like getting a haircut from here when these good barbers are not busy. When they are, you’re putting yourself in a bad position. BADBUSINESS. I went here yesterday and had Khalid. He’s my regular guy for some time. Been coming here since 2006. He asks me what I want, and I said I want a fade«0 on the sides, 2.5 on top» few times that this had happened to me that instead of 0, he would give you a 1 and it’s not as clean as it used too when he doesn’t have anybody or he’s not busy. I know that barbers would like you to come back sooner but how can we stay loyal to them if they’re giving you a shitty haircut? Everybody wants to make money but you have to give your customers good service too at ANYTIME. Not just at the beginning of your shift but ALLTHETIME.

I realized that the place I trusted for many years has changed its business from serving any customer to empowering their barbers to selective pick individuals and either service or reject them without any discretion. Example — if someone you prefer is not available the next time you go, other barbers refuse you and it has happened a couple of times, leaving a very bad experience and taste for me. I find it rude, distasteful, and partly a bit of a rude awakening. Although it is at the end of the day a $ 5 dollar haircut, I used to come here because of growing up in the neighborhood but sadly it’s not the same as it used to be.

The 5 stars is for Buffy. She knows my eyebrows and does them perfectly and I have pretty thick ones. She’s always downstairs and is not there on Wednesdays. Just tell her how you like them and she’ll do just that. Thanks Buffy!

great place to have a quick man haircut. Though sometimes you have to make sure it’s all done properly. Depending who cuts your hair, sometimes they hurry too much

I always go to Ahmed M at Station 17. He is really good and friendly. I highly recommend him. It’s only a $ 5 haircut but I also tip him real well. He deserves it and my haircut would have cost $ 20 or more at some other places.

When I go for a haircut I expect to get in fast, get out quick and be on my marry way. Well I have never known it any other way at this location. First of all this place is huge with ample hairdressers ready to showoff their artistic style. Even If they are busy like on a Saturday or Sunday they will send you downstairs where someone is immediately available without a drop in quality. In addition the price is only $ 5. Cant really beat that. So if you do not have«that» person that cuts your hair I would strongly suggest Betty & Nicks on Kimble.

For just five dollars, I got an awesome haircut from Betty and Nicks. The salon is located in Albany Park, right off Montrose Ave. This is a no frills kind of place with old school barbers that do a fantastic job. The same haircut would cost me $ 30 downtown. It gets really crowded here on Saturday and Sunday mornings, so my advice is to try and come during a weekday. They have over 30 chairs going at one time. Since the price is so affordable, I usually get a shave during my visit. I highly suggest this barbershop to anyone on a budget, as well as families. Super Deal..

The fastest & cheapest haircut I have ever received… and it was good! Unreal deal. $ 5 even, no tax. Amazing.

This place offers a great value for $ 5. Make sure you ask for Khalid in station #6. Hands down an amazing barber and all around great guy. I come all the way from the south side just to have him cut my hair. You’ll look sharp guaranteed. Remember Khalid in station #6. He is typically off on Wednesdays.

I have personally went to this particular location 3 times, the previous 2 I had gotten my haircut from meitrthe(station 1) she gave me a low fade with an edge up and it was pretty much picture perfect as 5 bucks can possibly buy, So if you’re in need or happen to be near, go and check them out, and make sure not to be a jerk and TIP.

I had previously written a bad review, but it was after something that I had overreacted about that wouldn’t have normally bothered me as much during a stressful time. However, I’ve cooled off since then and am still a loyal customer. I don’t trust my eyebrows to anyone else. My only complaint is that the wait can be long at times, but that’s only because they are so good at their job that everyone comes here. I do recommend this place and have recommended this place to all my friends. My only suggestion is to try to come during the week so you won’t have to wait as long.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLESERVICE. I got a perm done here a couple days ago and they completely ruined my hair. All I wanted was some body to my hair and now I look like a damn poodle. I honestly am too embarrassed to even go outside. The lady who did the perm had absolutely NO idea what the hell she was doing. Too bad I didn’t figure that out until after she had put the solution in my hair. I sat in that place for almost 3 hours as this lady stood there and ruined my hair. I also mentioned to them that I, in no way, wanted my hair cut and the lady cuts my hair very uneven to try to fix the mess she left of my hair. They’re prices are cheap but the service is horrible. While I was in there, at least 12 other people were complaining about their haircuts. Hairdressers answer their phones while doing your hair, VERYUNPROFESSIONAL! Yeah, the prices here are great but everything else about this place sucks. Worst hair experience of my life. I will never go here, they obviously just hire anyone who says they know how to cut hair. Definitely wish I could just go back in time and never even walk into that place.

This place is damn impressive. I took my boyfriend here to get a haircut. It ran us $ 7 bucks. For $ 7, his hair looks great! In and out in about 15 minutes, quick, efficient, and well done. I’d give it 5 stars except it kind of ticked me off that they only take cash. Be prepared fort hat! Had to try their atm, which didn’t work, then make a mad dash across the street. Kind of frustrating, but really, a haircut for 5 bucks plus tip is unbeatable.

I have coming here for years and although I have tried getting waxed at high-end salons, they don’t do nearly a good job as VENO! This lady will wax me and thread any sparse hairs left behind! I call her up(because I’m her regular) and I am in and out in 15 minutes or less!!! Only thing — I don’t get tweeze, I prefer to do that at home with my own. $ 5 — WHOCANBEATTHAT??? NOTE — they have a small parking lot in the back!

Let me just say that for a men’s 5 $ haircut, you get a $ 50 dollar treatment. I have been getting almost all of my haircuts from here and they do a fantastic job cutting hair. Not only that, but they include the«little things» that make a big difference. Things like the straight razor treatment on the sideburns and back of neck are amazing and go a long way in my book. Ladies prices are also very reasonable too. To make a long story short, if you want a great haircut and don’t want to spend a lot of money then Betty and Nick’s should be your destination.

Amazing! For 10 $ plus tip I got a great haircut and my eyebrows threaded. It is a no bs type of place, but very efficient and the woman who cut my hair(station #7 right by the door) was professional and talented. I don’t like to be babied or to make a big deal out of my trips to hair salons, so this is pretty much my ideal. If you do prefer that sort of thing, this might not be the place for you. I will be returning, though. I was told sometimes there is a bit of a wait if you go during peak hours(assuming evenings and weekends) but I was immediatly seated upon arriving, and in&out within 35 minutes. Also, they do not take credit cards, but there is an atm inside.
