Big Mike’s Gyros

I got an Italian beef I must say it was juicy delicious and meat was tender hands down best beef in chicago as well as gyros if you want fast food this the joint to stop in its conveniently located of of the Dan Ryan so you be in and out !!

Great food, I would definitely order here again! Kids loved their personal pizzas and the gyros are excellent!!!

I have been eating at Big Mikes since they opened! I live right across the street so I no longer have to travel for good food. The chicken salads are one of my favorites but the Greek Gyro is my absolute favorite OMG! My mom likes the fried chicken wings & my daughter loves their pizza puffs! I like that Big Mikes serve a variety of food. Mexican, American, Soul. The gyro & steak fries are the bomb too! So are the tacos! Mike can we get some Jerk Tacos pleaseeeeee?! Lol Good place to eat!

I got a gyro sandwich with some cheese fries. It was a GIANT gyro for like 5 $. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was inside and the staff was super sweet. My boyfriend got some chicken and I snagged a bite — it was also really good. I’d definitely come back.

I have been meaning to get to this for a while. I have been to many fast food joints off the highway as I travel alot for work. This is one of my favorite places south of I55 off the highway. I have tried the hotdog — good. I have tried the grilled chicken– good. I gotta say though, the Gyro is where its at! the tatziki sauce is really delicious. service is always top notch. I only have one complaint, none on the north side-​open one up on the north side! Thanks BMG for making the typical greasy cheap nasty fast food experience a quality, clean, and delicious one! I just ordered a pizza puff that was not tasty. I find it difficult to serve a bad pizza puff considering they’re prepared elsewhere but it didn’t seem to have any cheese in it.
My Gyro-​Cheeseburger was extremely soggy.
The Italian Beef was flavorless and the meat was dry.
The cheese steak fries had something that didn’t taste or look like sour cream but aside from that glob of white substance in the middle of my fries they were mediocre.
I WILL NOT BE BACK!

I had Big Mikes for the first time a few days ago. The food was fresh, delivered hot and absolutely amazing.
My gyro was cooked and dressed perfectly, the fries arrived still steaming and crisp, and my friend loved the gyro cheeseburger.
I love the fact that BMG is a pork free establishment! Its a good way to go and quite honestly better for their customers.
This is an awesome place on the south side and I will be visiting again.

My first visit to Big Mikes changed my outlook on burgers. First of all, my partner brought me here on a date and being dressed up for a fine dining experience I refused to go in. Once I got in there, looked at the menu, and heard it was a no pork establishment… I got real comfortable. That day I got and will always get the gyro burger with turkey bacon. This burger was so juicy and flavorful I considered that date to be the best date ever. Since then, I’ve had the fish, chicken, and plain burgers and it was all good however nothing beats the gyro burger.

I called in to let them know that I couldn’t get in contact w/​the delivery guy after he called and said he was outside. The representative that answered the phone was VERY rude and hung up. I called back and was put on hold for 20 minutes and nobody ever returned.
I usually don’t have a problem with this restaurant but I was very much disturbed because I never got my food or any customer service.

Pizza puffs were terrible did not have much filling instructions were not followed. I asked to please fry hard and add lemon pepper neither was done.
The cheesecake did not taste good it was warm and it looked like it was handled like a football it was all out of shape and just not good.
The chili did not have much beef in it the beef that was in it was grainy and it was really greasy not good either.
And finally chicken nuggets, chicken nuggets were average only thing that saved them was the sauce, sweet baby Ray’s sauce you would be better off buying frozen chicken nuggets cooking them and getting your own Sweet baby Ray’s it will probably be cheaper.
The delivery guy was quick food was packaged well and the delivery guy was very courteous overall experience I would go back for a Gyro or an Italian beef but that’s pretty much about it. And big Mike’s would not be my first choice although the gyro was very good the pizza puff experience was quite disappointing.

Serving the best burgers, made fresh, and steaming hot. Friendly service, simple décor. All I can say is this place has reasonable prices. Best all around in the Chicago area. The gyro burger is a must to try! This is a place to try if your on the go and in this area for a quick visit. Their also open late at night! Bonus!
