Oversize framing in general. We cut 110×50 matboards in house and make custom stretcher bars for oversize canvas framing, ten feet long and bigger. No framing job is too big or too small for us. 100% of the work is done in house !

We cover the range of budget friendly frames to high end hand finished frames. At Blackbird Gallery + Framing, custom framing for art, mirrors and objects is affordable for everyone !

History

Established in 2005.

Established in 2005. I have been in the picture framing /​wall décor industry for over 20 years in both a domestic sales capacity and an international sales capacity developing new markets for Crescent, a première mounting and matboard company here in Chicagoland.

The business was started for three reasons; 1– I didn’t want to miss my kids growing up; 2– I was getting tired of all the travel, and lastly, my passion for art /​framing in general. Thus, CPF Services was born, a wholesale Custom Picture Framing Service business catering to artists, professional photographers and interior designers near the intersection of Belmont and Western in a dingy 4^th floor building on Rockwell Street.

Due to the recession my wholesale business literally vanished, it was at this juncture that I moved to Ravenswood to open Blackbird Gallery + Framing, LLC among other art related and home furnishings businesses. This was by far the best decision I made for my business. I remain grateful for all th
