My inspiration for this restaurant was Southern Style Bar-B-Q. While spending my childhood summers in Mississippi my family often hosted outings and barbeques. This was an event where family and friends came together to spend quality time and to eat great food. I instantly fell in love with the art of making Bar-B-Q, that I just had to bring this great style of cooking to the Westside of Chicago.

Established in 2011.

Business Owner
I was in business management outside of the food industry but I was always interested in food. I worked at Joe’s BBQ in Austin for 3 years. Joe’s was an institution. I learned to always give your customer eye contact and treat them right. It gives you street credibility.
I’m following a blueprint but putting my own «spin on it». I base my business on the legends: Spraiggs BBQ (Walnut & Kedzie) and Coleman’s (Cicero). These folks were legends in the BBQ game.
