Captain Rooter Emergency Plumbers

Had a kitchen sink back up all of the sudden. Nothing I tried worked. I gave Captain Rooter’s a call, and they called me back in about 20 minutes. Jesse told me that someone would be out in about 1.5 — 2 hrs… about 30 minutes later a plumber showed up to my door, on a Sunday! The problem was fixed in just over an hour and the sink is draining as good as new. I would highly recommend Captain Rooter’s for your plumbing needs, especially in a emergency situation.

Fast forward to January… The owner of captain rooter contacted me for a second time and agreed to refund my original fee for my garbage disposal troubles. My original experience was definitely very unpleasant but I appreciated the owner following up and making sure the issue was rectified. Thanks Captain Rooter!

I was very pleased with captain rooter emergency plumbers .they sent Juan good plumber, easy to communicate, explain everything in details. came to my house on Christmas to fix a problem with my toilet. Just got a call back from the owner apologizing for the issue. He let me know that his company doesn’t handle radiators (any heating/​cooling systems in general) and that is likely what resulted to my request slipping through the cracks. I really appreciated him reaching out and being genuine in his apology. I’ll definitely give them another shot if I have issues in the future.
Originally called on ¹²⁄₂₂ to get emergency plumbing completed for a broken radiator in a rental property. The woman I spoke with assured me I would be called back within the hour by a plumber in my area. Two hours later and no call, so I call back, she confirms I am in the system, that no one has called me and that she will ‘escalate’ my issue. I call back first thing the next morning. She apologizes, again confirms I am in their system and will escalate the issue. I never heard from them again. I called around Christmas Eve until I finally got someone to resolve the issue.
I realize it’s the holidays, but if you advertise yourself as an emergency plumber, you can’t leave someone hanging for days. I would have happily moved on to someone else if they would have been up front and told me they did not have the availability to handle my issue.

Jesse took a call from me at 2am last night when my toilet was not flushing and my sig. other was in the throes of food poisoning! He was ready to come out, but instead provided some great advice and allowed me to handle the problem myself. When they say 24hr they actually meant it, which was a life saver when we needed it most! Called captain rooter last night and they came by within two hours to fix my garbage disposal. The estimate was free and they actually fixed in 5 minutes. No charge so I just tipped 20 bucks. I would definitely go back to them for any further needs

Highly recommend Captain Rooter. Excellent communication scheduling someone to come over right away. Juan repaired my kitchen drain and replaced my garbage disposal very quickly. He was professional and nice and made sure I understood what work he completed and that everything was working properly. Very dependable company, and I will absolutely use them in the future!

Captain Rooter did a great job replacing my hot water heater. I woke up this morning and found that it was raining in the bathroom on the 3^rd floor of my townhome, and soon after it was raining on the 2^nd floor too. My hot water heater had rusted through. I got the water turned off and started calling plumbers. Captain Rooter was able to send someone right away (took 30 – 40 minutes to arrive).
They quickly assessed the issue and were able to immediately set the water heater to draining. They were also able to immediately begin work on obtaining and installing a new Bradford white 50 gallon water heater. Their staff were very polite and professional at all times, explained clearly what was being done, and responded helpfully to all questions. 6.5 hours later, my old water heater was gone and a new one was in its place, everything was cleaned up perfectly, and the pipe connections and angles look solid /​correct. They added metal tape to ensure a good seal on the exhaust piping.
The price that I paid was high — the job was quoted as a lump sum, but when I calculated the hourly rate I ended up paying, after subtracting out the cost of the water heater and parts from the overall job, it was approximately $ 115 per hour per worker. You certainly can find a cheaper plumber if you look around. However, for me the convenience of having the job done immediately, and the peace of mind of having it done by a company that was properly insured, and whose staff were very professional and thorough was worth the extra cost.
Captain Rooter did a very solid, professional job of changing my water heater and they got it done very quickly. I am very satisfied with their service.

Captain Rooter has been to our house twice for emergency situations. The first time it was to fix a frozen pipe and the second time it was to clear out a sewer back up. Both times we were very happy and wanted to continue to provide our business to them. Recently I scheduled a sewer clean out as preventive measure. I like to repeat business when I get good service.
Unfortunately the day scheduled (Saturday) nobody showed up. I waited half a day and then called but nobody called me back. Two days later I called and Ray called me back. He said that I had been called on Saturday. I informed him that my cell phone did not record any «missed calls» and I did not get a voicemail either. He asked to reschedule but I told him I’d have to think about it as I had mixed feelings about giving them my business.
I’ve researched Angie’s List and moved on to another service provider. I like establishing relationships with those who take care of my house but if basic scheduling cannot be achieved then I can’t waste my time for a repeat performance.

I convince my landlord to hire a different company. Captain Rooter’s plumber shows up on time. He fixes the garbage disposal that the other company swore was so broken that they needed to replace it entirely in 5 minutes — it was totally fine (he just had to flip a switch — the breaker had gotten engaged, similar to a circuit breaker. When I regale him with my woes from the last few days with the other company he also mentions that if he needed to replace the garbage disposal he would have only needed a Phillips screwdriver, not the crazy equipment the other company left because they said they didn’t have it on hand). After some serious work to remove the blockage in the pipes, everything is in good order.
That was a year ago. At this point, I own my place, and I called Captain Rooter not long after I first moved — the same plumber showed up (I wish I could remember his name so I could request him specifically), and he was awesome yet again. I’ll be calling them for anything I need in the future!

Ray did outstanding work installing our new sink and garbage disposal! Super polite and was able to help us fix some other plumbing problems we had in the kitchen even though that wasn’t why we originally called!!!

I had a clogged pipe so I decided to call Captain Rooter because of the great reviews and they are ²⁴⁄₇ (I discovered the clog late at night). They brought in a guy after about 2 hours and he went to work. He was able to get it unclogged and so I thought I was home free. 2 weeks later, the pipe re-​clogged and since they offered a 2 month warranty, I called again and the same guy came out. This time he wasn’t able to fix it and all he told me was that they might need to jet the pipes or bring in a camera. A neighbor suggested a different plumber who came in the next day and was able to fix the clog. I was annoyed that I had to shell out the money to two different plumbers to get a single fix.
A few days after posting a review on Unilocal,Jesse called me to talk about what had happened. He offered a partial refund on the job since it didn’t get fixed. I certainly appreciate the effort he made in trying to rectify the situation. I still can’t give 5 stars because they weren’t able to fix the issue themselves and I was still partially charged for the job. With that said, I appreciate the good customer service. Jesse clearly cares about his customers and wants to make sure they are happy.

Despite the nearly two feet of snow that fell that day. Captain rooter was able to get to my place on the same day. After determining that they would need a new part they had the problem fixed by the following day. Not a small task considering the weather. The guys that came were respectful and knowledgable and they honored their original price even though they had to do a lot of driving in bad weather. They showed a level of integrity that I respect and i would definetely use them again.
