CCI Greenheart

This organization is a joke, run by a bunch of buffoons! I have been a sponsor of J1 students for over 8 years and I love the program! These people sent me 3 Russian girls that only wanted to party and get high! I finally had to fire the girls as their good times was also effecting their personal hygiene! Not good in the hospitality business! Greenheart did not want to hear about my issues, as I was just the employer and did not pay them any fee! They listened to the lies the girls told them about how bad they were being treated and didn’t even bother to verify anything!
This year I had offered positions to 3 girls and Greenheart would not let them come to our business, even though they wanted to and paid a large fee to them! The state department should cancel their authorization to be part of the J1 program!
They should really change their name to CCI Blackheart!

The first time I hosting an exchange student I had some problems arise with his behavior. My local coordinator as well as the Chicago office was very supportive and were really upset that they had placed a student in my home who decided to make poor choices. We worked through the problems together and I will continue to host with this organization for many years! The Idaho local coordinators are amazing, caring, and all host themselves!

Avoid like the plague. This «organization» is so disorganized and dishonest. We agreed to host a student from Italy for the summer at our summer camp. We had specifically requested they locate a student that wanted the experience of volunteering at camp. They found us one and we spoke with him for months before his arrival. Then all of the sudden the local coordinator was changed (Fired) and the dates of his arrival and departure changed. Then they said he was staying part of the time somewhere else and would join us at camp when we started. He did show up and had a great time with us for all of 3 days when they called to change the plan yet again and move him to a 3^rd placement. They said he would be back the next day to be part our program, but we never heard from him or them again. He was very disappointed to have to leave the camp he had been planning to attend for the summer.
My parents hosted exchange students when I was young and whatever organization they used was fantastic, but this group is a joke. Don’t volunteer to help them. They will mess you over.

My family and I had the best intentions in hosting an international student.
Listen to Stephanie M. and don’t host students from this organization. You will be used as a hotel service.

A really great organization with an amazing team to back it up. The coordinators are amazing, so supportive and helpful with the hosting experience — always willing to take the extra step. So pleased with Greenheart’s assistance throughout the process.

I am writing this post to warn any future students and or prospective host families of what happened to me and my family. I became involved with CCI through my sister and her friend and hosted a student last year which went well. I decided not to host again this year, however when I heard about a young girl who was having issues with her host family, my husband and I decided to take her in. We accepted this student from Germany — Anja and only had a couple rules, be home on time, keep clean and pass your classes! Well this child (who was only 15) took issue with our rules and constantly failed classes (2 or more) only managing to pull the grades to just above passing when report cards came out. She was mad because our city has a mandatory curfew and she was not able to «party» (again — keep in mind she is only 15). Well she got grounded because she was failing her classes and told everyone that I was «mean» and decided to do anything and everything to be moved from my including dragging my recently deceased husbands name through the mud for her own personal gain. This child who remember came from a previous host family, now would be moving into her BOYFRIENDS home (her 3^rd placement in under 10mths) and CCI was aware of this. Wait it gets better — he is 18 and she is only 15… WOW!!! She told lies about me and my husband which hurt my own 2 children in the process and as a result got her way which honestly if they had been honest about moving her would not have made me sad in least, I was done dealing with this child by the time that this all went down — however I committed to this until June. What really gets me mad is that they have allowed this little viper to speak ill and spread lies about my husband who passed on 4÷2÷14 and then put her into harms way by placing her to live with her boyfriend based on their promise that they were not dating. I provided proof to CCI that they were in fact dating and they said that they will handle it, however this child is still there. I am writing this to basically warn any potential host families or families wanting their children placed with them to watch out! The allowed this same child to drag her previous host family who happened to be one of their local coordinators through the mud as well. Do you see a trend here? All I am saying is watch out if you deal with this organization. My family learned the hard way!!!
