It’s been an unfortunate series of events the minute I discovered I had bed bugs. My life was turned upside down. I initially hired a different pest company but I was not at all satisfied with their work. Needless to say, I came across this company and called them for further advice. An initial inspection was done and I agreed to receive treatment as soon as possible. They were very professional, helpful and answered so many questions I had. To Emily, Goran, nick and Sloba (I’m sorry if I got your name wrong) thank you so much. I am hopeful that with the treatment done today, I will be one step closer to being bed bug free. I will update once I know I’m in the clear.

These guys were wonderful to work with! Mike came out for the initial inspection and he was very helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and helped me to calm down. He answered my numerous questions and was very reassuring they could take care of my problem. I was a wreck when I discovered we had bed bugs. Fortunately I was the only who had gotten bit, but they treated the entire house anyway. After the first treatment there were no further bites. About 2 weeks later a follow up was done to complete another inspection and to treat again. This time Goran came out and he was wonderful to work with as well. He was very kind and patient with my many questions as well. I am sure they thought I was a little nuts worrying about these bugs, but he just kept answering my questions. He was quite thorough in his followup. Fortunately there have been no further bites or sightings of these critters since the first visit. Yahoo! Thank you so much Echo Tech!!! But I do hope to never see you again.

As an admittedly Nervous Nelly, I about jumped out of my skin when I found a suspicious spot on my son’s bedding. I googled and googled and googled to such a ridiculous degreee that eventually, every little piece of dust or fuzz started to look like a bed bug or bed bug debris to me. Luckily, somewhere in my ridiculous google spiral, I came across Chicago Bed Bug Experts (also known as Eco Tech.)
Relief started to come as soon as I called and spoke to Jim about the issues. He calmed me by telling me that what I was describing did not sound like bed bug activity but quickly booked an appointment for techs to come out and do an inspection when I insisted.
Mike and Z came at exactly the time I was told to expect them and promptly got down to business. They thoroughly inspected all the beds in the house and then another inspection of the couches when I told them that my son occasionally naps on the couch.
While they found zero evidence of bed bug activity, I still insisted on purchasing and having the premium encasements installed on all the mattresses and box springs. They were extremely reasonably priced (think Amazon Prime pricing) and were expertly installed.
Mike then took a little bit of time to explain what to keep an eye out for (we do live in Chicago, the bed bug capitol of the country, after all) and showed me a few real pictures of infestations small and large while giving me tips about prevention.
While I am giddy with relief, I can still recognize caring, professional work and these guys nailed it.

From my initial contact with EchoTech I knew this was the type of company I wanted to do business with. That decision was strongly based on the customer service that Ms. Madelyn provided! She was a true professional, very understanding, patient and a wealth of knowledge! She’s truly an asset to EcoTech! I called her several, several times before, during and after the treatment and she always made me feel like I was the only customer they had! The technician Mr. Mike that came out to treat my Mom’s unit truly embodies outstanding service! He was full of knowledge, understanding and patience it was almost unbelievable! His service was sheer excellence! My Mom is usually pretty shy, but Mike had her talking up a storm and by the time he was done my Mom was hugging him like he was an old friend! It truly warmed my heart to see how well he treated my Mom.
The service & treatment appears to be just as great as the employee’s I mentioned, Ms. Madelyn & Mr. Mike! So far, so great! If I ever know of anyone in need of any services that EcoTech provide I would be very happy to recommend them!

I first contacted EchoTech regarding a complaint I had from a tenant for bedbugs. I spoke with Madelyn. She was friendly (I was hysterical), informed me about the processes, spent time answering all the question I had. She scheduled Mike and Nick to exterminate. On June 13,2015, Mike and Nick showed up on time (as scheduled by Madelyn). Mike and Nick, were informative, answered any question I had and had an incredible sense of humor. They came and did follow up treatments and now all BB are gone!!! On October 26,2015 I needed receipts from June13. I spoke with Madelyn. Again, she was friendly, kind and promptly sent me the receipts. Thanks EcoTech!!! I highly recommend them, very professional.

Turns out we did not have bed bugs. (Yippee!) The tech was very friendly and thorough. He gave me prevention tips so that, if bedbugs ever do show up, we can keep them off the bed and identify the problem quickly.

These guys are the BEST. Madelyn responded so quickly from the office with prompt and helpful info and fast scheduling. She even called to offer me a cancellation date!
Mike, the technician who came to my house, was first rate. Prompt, very friendly, reassuring that the problem could be solved (I needed that!) and thus far their treatment has been totally effective. He even helped move out some furniture that needed removal!
Whomever you are using — cancel it and hire these guys!

Once we realized that the hives my daughter thought she had for weeks were actually bed bug bites, we turned to Madelyn and Chicago Bedbug Experts for HELP! They were so supportive and helpful during this stressful time. After 3 treatments her apartment is now bedbug-​free. I would highly recommend them!

I had my assessment and 1^st treatment this past Wednesday in oak park Vladmir and George took significant time to explain to me the situation, what they were going to be doing and how they were going to do it. They spoke and listened to management as well. The fact they took the time to just talk to me speaks volumes, This brother duo is very respectful. Madelyn is amazing as well, very very very knowledgeable and kind. I am simply impressed.

Today, I had an inspection for potential bed bugs. Of course, I was happy to learn that I have none :) However, I’m writing this review to express how impressed I was by the young man, Emil, who came to my house. I was nervous having a stranger in my house, especially one looking for bed bugs, but he put me at total ease. He was calm, professional and knew what he was doing. It’s a scarey thing to think you might have bed bugs, but if you have any concerns, I would contact Eco Tech. (BTW, they were also the most reasonably priced for doing an inspection.)

Travel a lot on business and after one trip; noticed that I had what I thought was a small rash on my arm. It kept up for 2 weeks. So, I thought I might have bed bugs. I called another company and they came out, and sprayed 3 times. But after 4 – 5 days; I started getting bitten again. After that, I called Eco Tech and they were very responsive and came out within a couple of days. They did a full inspection of the house and determined that I had a small infestation of bed bugs within the bed frame.
Upon the first visit they were very professional, knowledgeable and thorough! They gave me a ton of documentation that was very helpful. And, since my problem was small; the bed bugs were about 95% eliminated after the first visit. I didn’t have any bites after that!
I also have to say they are very honest. They won’t sell you anything you don’t need. After the first visit my cat put a hole in one of the encasements; but eco tech didn’t try to sell me another one; they said it could be repaired with duct tape.

I thought I had (ugh!!!) bed bugs so I Unilocaled a couple of companies and decided to send my specimens to 2 highly rated exterminators: A-​Alert and Chicago Bed Bug Experts (aka Eco Tech).
I got a call from Kevin @ A-​Alert telling me the littles guys I sent him were definitely bed bugs. He even went so far as to say that the critters were full of blood! When I mentioned to him that neither my partner or I had any bites whatsoever, he replied by saying that we must just be «non-​reactors». My heart sank. He sent me a «prep sheet» with a list a mile long of tedious and time consuming preparations I needed to make before he came to provide the (very costly) service.
I immediately called Madeline @ Chicago Bed Bug Experts and she told me they were NOT bed bugs, that they were harmless little carpet beetles. I asked if she was sure and she said «absolutely». I also asked what they would charge for a routine service to get rid of the carpet beetles and she quoted $ 125.
So I got in the car and went down to see Kevin @ A-​Alert to have a face to face and see why he determined that they were indeed bed bugs. I have to say, he was as nice as could be. When I told him I had gotten a 2^nd opinion and was told these were not bed bugs he said, «well, let me put them under the microscope and take a look at them». Sure enough, when looking at them under the scope, he said, «whatcha got here are carpet beetles. Not bed bugs».
I was pissed and relieved all at the same time. Why hadn’t he bothered to look at the specimens under the scope BEFORE he diagnosed them as being bed bugs? Had I not gotten the 2^nd opinion from Chicago Bed Bug Experts I would have shelled out over $ 600 and still be washing, drying, folding, ironing clothes!!! Additionally, he quoted me $ 185 for a routine pest control service… $ 60 more than Chicago Bed Bug Experts.
Like some of the other reviewers I commend Chicago Bed Bug Experts/​Eco Tech on their honesty. We are at the mercy of experts we believe we can trust. I’m not saying A-​Alert tried to rip me off, I do believe it was an honest mistake (although I’m still a little miffed that he made his determination without doing a thorough examination under the microscope), but like auto mechanics, these guys can tell us anything and, taking the fear factor into consideration, we believe them.
It’s nice to know that the folks at Chicago Bed Bug Experts/​Eco Tech are honest and professional. I highly recommend them :)

These guys were incredible and I highly recommend them. It started in January when my husband was away on business again (hmmmm, where did these critters come from?) when I noticed several itchy bites on my hands. I definitely had a funny feeling and decided to look under my mattress and lo and behold, a little pile of these horrible creatures. Panic set in and I frantically searched the internet for a company to come out asap. I ended up speaking to Madelyn and she was so great, she set me at ease, she took control of the conversation and basically was like, this is what you need to do now, just what I needed. She really knew what she was talking about, she answered all of my questions patiently and helped bring me out of the freaking out mode I was in. The guys that came out to take care of the bugs were also awesome. They explained everything so thoroughly, were sympathetic to my situation and also completely put me at ease. They were personal and even related to my three little kids. IThey make three trips total to your home and their prices are reasonale. t has been 3 months now and no bugs. Thanks so much guys!

We thought getting rid of bed bugs would be easy… our’s was a small problem, limited to a handful of them. We had no idea how difficult it would be and how many treatments it would take. It’s been several weeks since the last time Chicago Bed Bug Experts has been out and I think we’re finally free.
There were several things that impressed me about this company:
1. Very quick response to the initial phone call
2. Very knowledgeable techs who were also patient and friendly
3. The Techs were always on time — 100% of the time! We never got a time window, but rather an exact time and they were always there
4. We bought a treatment with guaranteed results and they kept their end of the bargain
5. Very affordable. I did some price comparisons and they had the best price and guarantee
I do wish they communicated via email rather than by phone, however. The agreement I struck on the phone with Jim was slightly different than what I got from the tech, but Jim made it right immediately. If we had done it via email, there would have been no confusion.
Overall, very happy with the service and highly recommended.

Great Company and Great people. Even though I had booked them for a full bed bug treatment, they people who came said I only needed mild fumigation and saved me 200 dollars. Honest people and honest work!

My girlfriend contacted the folks here because she had gotten bitten and initially thought that she had bed bugs at her place. After two of the techs went out and inspected her place, they gave her peace of mind and the deduced that the bites may have taken place at my apartment. A few days later, a tech came out to my place and was able to locate the critters. When the techs came out to take care of the bugs, they were efficient, courteous, and respectful of my living space.
In general, I would have given a four star review, but two things made them stand out:
— They were all friendly. Not only were they nice to my girlfriend, who was VERY concerned about potentially having bed bugs in her house with her two kids (also, she reacted badly to the bites), but they talked through her concerns and even responded to a photo she had texted to them about a potential culprit she sent them a few days after the visit (luckily, it was not a bed bug). When they came to my place, they were great on filling me in on what I can do make sure they don’t come back and they were all personable and good to chat with throughout the process.
— They were extremely honest. As mentioned before, my girlfriend was very concerned with the situation at her house. They could have very easily capitalized on her concern and made a lot of extra cash treating three bedrooms and two play/​seating areas. Instead, they were straightforward about what they were seeing and what they thought would be the most appropriate course of action. At my place, they looked at the problem and came up with a plan of action so that I wasn’t potentially over-​treating my space. Additionally, the course of action given by the tech who came out to do the inspection and the two techs that came out to do the treatments were the same even though there was an initial disparity due to a a missing piece of information. That the two plans were the same once they had the same information shows a consistency in their training, the manner in which they treat the problem, and the manner in which they treat their customers.
I would like to thank Jim, Dan, and Lazarro for their help and while I hope not to have to work with them again, I hope the business does well and that other people dealing with bed bugs can resolve their issue as easily and as hassle free as I did.

I called Peter and their team for a very surprising discovery of a bed bug that I was freaked out about. They responded right away with an immediate call and I was able to schedule an appointment for that afternoon. They used only a tiny amount of pesticides with their process, which is good because I was really concerned about bad effects. I would not hesitate to contact them again.
