I entered into Fourth Military Medical University in China to be trained as a dentist in 1991. There I saw the computer for the first time in his life. I was instantly attracted by an «Apple II» computer which doesn’t even have a hard disk.

At that time in China, it’s almost impossible to change your major once you enter a University and decided on a major. During those 5 years at the university, I spent all his spare time in a computer room. I became self-​taught computer geeks and became famous as a computer guru at a medical university, many people come to me for help when they get computer problems.

After graduating from the university in 1996, instead of becoming a dentist, I chose to develop medical related educational computer programs and later started to develop medical information networks on the internet. In 5 years, I was a CEO and co-​owner of one of the top 3 medical information websites in Chin

Rip off! They charged me $ 39 to look at my laptop and tell me I needed a charging port, which is what I told them when I got there. Before leaving my laptop I asked them what it would cost to replace the port if in fact they confirmed it was the problem. They told me between $ 80 and $ 100. I get a call the next day with them telling me it was the charging port that was bad (duh) and that it would cost $ 189 to fix it. I told them no and went to pick up my computer.
I am now sitting outside a place in Wheeling that fixes charge ports for a $ 100 flat fee the same day, and the guy there hooked my computer up to a small device and able to tell me within seconds that the port is bad.
I feel like I gave these folks my $ 39 and got nothing but bs in return. Don’t give them your money!

I do not like this company. I will never purchase here or seek repairs here. When you purchase or have a repair, they add «stuff» to the computer. I do not want any company controlling my computers remotely because ultimately they can make it crash when you discontinue membership. I’ll just take my stuff back to Best Buy. I do not want any remote subscriptions attached to my stuff!

Much better service compared to my experience with Geek Squad where it has taken up to a week to get my computer back. Computer Club got my desktop back to me the same day and now that I’m a member I can call their help line and have them take care of my issues for me ***** for service that doesn’t suck

Have been with Chicago Computer Club for a 3 years through the store on 35th… and regardless of what issues I’ve had with my IT they always provide great support whether over the phone or in person. As a matter of fact I received and outbound call just to see if their services were meeting my needs.

I havent quite finished my experience with this store yet. But I had to say something. The place reminds my of a midas muffler shop. U take your computer in for one small thing… and suddenly your whole exhaust system is bad! I went in because my RAM error message told me I was to my limit… plus my computer was slow. I was told over the phone that I would just be a charge to add the RAM .no diagnosis fee. I was told in person that there would be $ 39 fee just to look at it plus the cost of the RAM. OK Whatever. Agreed to come back after the diagnosis. I was called six hours later with the inevitable bad sector problem. Which would require a whole new $ 350 hard drive. The computer was four years old so its not too far fetched but there was something fishy about the whole situation honestly. Lastly, I agreed to the price and asked to have my old programs transfered to the new hard drive. I was told that they couldnt do that because the new hard drive wouldnt recognize it??? What !!! Im no techie but that doesnt add up.

Laptop wouldn’t turn on, and they have taken it apart 3x now to clean it up. My cat knocked soda onto it last year. This isn’t a 5 star review since I have had to take it back two times now. On the other hand, they’ve always been patient and haven’t charged me but for the first time.
The staff is polite and helpful.
Also it appears that the 3rd time is the charm, and it appears to be working fine now :).

This is an interesting place, as they appear to have lots of stuff but mostly it’s the cheap, off-​brand crap that I wouldn’t put on my computer. The cultural differences are on full display when you walk in this store, since the employees appear uncomfortable around people who are not like themselves. I reluctantly went to the store on 55th street in Hyde Park to get some RAM for a laptop and the service clerk had to look it up on the computer. After standing and waiting for what seemed like 3 days, I said, «well, you can just go to
and get the specifications», he said «no, we can’t go to that site». When he finally found the part I needed, it was twice the price that Crucial had listed, I knew this from my research a day earlier. Hmmm, wonder why they can’t get to certain internet sites? Their service to the community is to be commended, but still, you can save money by exploring higher quality, lower cost alternatives elsewhere.

After I decided to punch my computer screen and then instantly regret it, I was mostly worried about the bundle of loot it was going to cost me to get it fixed.
Rightfully so, I went to Office Depot down the street and they told me it would cost $ 599 and up to repair my jaded screen i.e. the price of a new computer!
So after reevaluating my life choices i took to the yellow pages and Computer Club was the 1st place i called.
They quoted me more than ½ off of what Office Depot had and after calling to several other places realized they’re offer was the best.
I trekked down to the near south side turned in my computer and planned to pick her up next week as their quoted completion time.
Week later BOOM my baby was all better and I promised not to hurt her again.
Above all the costumer service here is wonderful. The guys know there stuff. Also I got two calls alerting me that my computer was ready and one after i got home asking if i had any complaints of the service provided. Only that I loved it too much!
