Chicago Percussion Lessons is a great resource for comprehensive percussion and drum lessons in Chicago, IL. Conveniently located in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood, our studio is equipped with a large variety of percussion instruments such as drum sets, congas, a marimba, bata drums, timbales, djembe, cajon, bongos, glockenspiel, xylophone and much more! Our lessons are tailored to each individual student, building on strengths and introducing exciting concepts to improve your skills in percussion and drums!

History

Established in 2011.

Chicago Percussion Lessons was founded by percussionist & drummer Dane Crozier. Dane has over ten years of teaching experience which include instructor positions at the Sphinx Preparatory Music Institute in Detroit, Ann Arbor School for the Performing Arts, Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, IL, and Terra Sounds School of Arts in Glenview, IL. Though he is an active performer, Dane has always had a passion for teaching percussion and drums which led him to start Chicago Percussion Lessons (.com) shortly after he moved to the city in May, 2010. Students of all ages and abilities are welcome — our students currently range in age from 4 to 65!

Dane has been an active performer and educator since 2003. He can be heard regularly with The O. G Trio, the Gold Coast All Stars, The Chicago Players, and has performed with other fantastic artists including Vadim Gluzman, the Madison Symphony Orchestra, New Music Detroit, Goldford, and Spectrum Trio. In addition to being the founder/​instructor of Chicago Percussion Lessons, Dane teaches private lessons at Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, IL and Terra Sounds in Glenview, IL.
