Located in Chicago’s beautiful River North neighborhood, CRNP specializes in the Pilates method and GYROTONIC® exercise, offering both mat and equipment, group and private instruction. Our objective is to provide the ultimate in mind body conditioning with unique programs designed to fit each individual’s need. Meet the Business Owner

Katy S.

Business Owner

Katy, owner of CRNP, directs the Pilates teacher-​training program PMI. She is a retired dancer, pre-​Olympic gymnast, trapeze artist & has been dedicated to mind-​body fitness for most of her life. After graduating from TCU with a BFA in Ballet, she began a career as a professional dancer in NYC.

In 2002, Katy’s career shifted when she received her Pilates training from the studio Movements Afoot in NYC. While there, she studied Pilates, Anatomy, Bartinieff Fundamentals, Standing Pilates & Yoga.

In 2004, Katy became certified as a Gyrotonic® & Gyrokinesis® level 1 instructor. She is now pursing level 2 Gyrotonic® training & has completed the certification on the Gyrotonic® Ladder, Jumping-​Stretching Board & is a pre-​trainer for level 1 Gyrotonic® certification.

In 2008, Katy became a certified LMA from Columbia College. Her client focus is on pre/​post cancer treatment, the aging population, clients with traumatic injuries, Pilates & Gyrotonic® teachers.
