Huge portions, great value for the money. They are quick, and have a huge menu. Always get my order correct too!

This place was really good I loved the food here notice I said loved the food. Recently I have placed my usual order of shrimp lo mein and the past couple times they use different noddles last week I got spaghetti noddles instead of the normal lo mein noddles I will not be going back to this place.

Went today and experienced fresh quality delicious Orange Chicken. I’ve been to many Chinese takeaway restaurants and I’ve tried their orange chicken and many just completely disappoint. They won me as a returning customer.

I rarely go for Wonton Soup at a Chinese restaurant because so often it’s tasteless, but I had a taste for a broth dumpling soup and I’ve never been disappointed in anything I’ve ordered at China Ling. Plus the menu indicated Wonton Soup is a customer fave so I gave it a try — SOGLAD I DID! Broth is excellent with great blend of hearty wontons and veggies — including bok choy/greens plus nice amount of BBQ pork. Just for comparison I also ordered Hot & Sour Soup to see range and it’s fantastic too — really nice sour base that you don’t always find at storefront Chinese takeout places.

Was very hungry coming from work last night(7÷15÷2015), stopped in China Ling for some quick food. Got it home and tossed it in the trash; absolutely horrendous. Nothing else to say about this place. There is no chance of every returning and not a chance in hell that I could recommend any human to go here. Sigh so done, so hungry, so long!

I was craving sweet and sour pork on a Sunday evening and decided to Unilocal some Chinese food delivery places. I should have listened to the low rating reviews but listened to my grumbling tummy more. I ordered the sweet and sour combination, crab rangoon, hot garlic chicken dinner special and seafood soup(note that I had company and was NOT eating all this alone lol). The sweet and sour combo was okay, nothing special. I bit into the crab rangoon and noticed it was yellow! I called the place to ask why and they add curry to it… So heads up! The dinner combination was huge! The fried rice was good. The seafood soup was bland, I took two sips. :(

We live close to Great Beijing in Lincolnwood and thats our usual, but we decided to try something new. We chose this place only from the Unilocal reviews. Unilocal I want my money back! Egg rolls were dry. Crab rangoon was not good at all. Mongolian Beef had no flavor at all but the beef was tender. Sesame Chicken was also dry and tasteless. Egg drop soup should be called Water Drop soup. Hey if you like this place drive a bit further west and try Great Beijing. Very disappointed on this valentinie day. :(plus the Crab Rangoon came with no dipping sauce.

Is this the best chinese food I have ever had? No. It is not optimal for dine-in but getting last minute chinese delivery is amazing. The portions are plentiful and the price is great. Is it the healthiest and freshest ingredients? No. but it is so worth it. If you are looking for a super healthy chinese please this is not the place for you. If you want filling tasty greasy chinese then you will LOVE this place. the beef dishes are iffy in my opinion but the mongolian chicken and the shrimp chop suey are amazing. The plain fried rice is delicious!!!

Tried this place out for delivery the other day because our usual place was closed… We had to call in since they don’t take online order, which sucks, but we wanted to try it out since they have good review on Unilocal. The woman who took the orders was nice. I’m not sure if she understood some of the questions we had about the menu, but we ended up getting what we wanted, so all is well. I would definitely recommend knowing exactly what you want in advance because Q&A wont happen. The prices were surprisingly good. We got a lot of food considering the price. The delivery too was crazy fast. It couldn’t have been more the a half hour before our food arrived. The food itself didn’t wow me. I tried my go to sesame chicken and some egg rolls, which wasn’t by any means bad, but not great. Egg rolls were massive, but again didn’t do a whole lot for me. I’m looking forward to trying out some other stuff on the menu. Overall, this looks like it’ll be our #2 place when our usual spot is closed.

The food was okay. Nothing special, but nothing terrible. My boyfriend ordered General Tso’s chicken and I ordered the orange chicken. When our food arrived, we could not tell which chicken was which. They both tasted exactly the same. It wasn’t bad, just flavorless. I do not know if they mistakenly gave us the same chicken, or if this is how it normally is. The prices are quite low, which makes this experience not as upsetting. I don’t think we’ll order again from here, though.

Another Chinese take-out found in a lesser than lovely, strip mall. The parking spaces aren’t properly spaced, so often your car doors could be closer to the next car than you’d like. The food is grossly overrated in these reviews. Grossly. As in, soon after getting my fill of food, I threw the rest away. This is low grade Chinese take-out. Some may argue, «Jacob, for $ 6 dollars what do you expect?» Try Kam Kong Café in North Park, their lunch special is $ 7 and you can taste the difference. Fresh food and freshly made eggrolls.(Shit, they even make their own sweet and sour sauce, for the egg rolls!) I’ve said this in another review of another Chinese take-out place; but something I remember sensing on the car ride home with their take-out. A sweet ingredient used in the preparation. Maybe hoisin?, is of a low grade quality. Every time I’ve smelled that chemical-smelling-kind-of-smell, I’ve usually hated the food. Ding, ding, ding! Per their menu it states«ONLYTHEBEST», «we use only the finest ingredients. From garden fresh vegetables and tofu to high quality chicken.» It goes on to mention that their beef is USDA flank steak and the seafood is a «sure delight.» The menu continues with saying it’s healthy, low in fat, cholesterol and they cook with 100% corn oil. If the ingredients they started out with were fresh, they have to fire their cooks because these guys are overcooking the hell out of it. Let’s discuss the lunch special. I asked that they make everything spicy, including the rice. I wouldn’t mind an up-charge.(I was ordering a couple lunch specials) They said, they would do it, no problem. The fried rice was dry and the chicken pieces in it were grossly overcooked.(I’ve been told, that dryness can be helped easily. One need only tell the counter-person to hydrate the rice a little better. Or say, «make it fresh», they aren’t really going to make it fresh, but they will add a bit more water to the steamer to present the rice in a nicer fashion.) Commonly; at most fast food Chinese take-out spots, foods are made in advance, either that day or in worst cases, a few days ahead. Especially large quantities of the fried rice and soups. Oh boy. let me tell you about their hot and sour soup. It was a «goopy» mess. The texture of it, was grotesque. I couldn’t stomach eating it. As if it were made with fat and oil, the soup had congealed into a blob.(For rockstar hot and sour soup, try Kam Kong Café in North Park. Soups are made fresh!) What else? I got the General Tso’s chicken which I thought was overcooked and served in a goopy(yes, I said it again), thick sauce. The egg rolls tasted like that variety that’s purchased in bulk. One of my lunch mate’s commented that it tasted«medicine-y.» None of us were satisfied with the food. It was just, OKAY. Honestly, I hated it. I’d also ordered some potstickers for sharing and those were the pits as well. The texture of the shell was like plastic and thick. The potsticker had lost it’s spongey-feel. I dunno, I feel as though some of this food was made a few days in advance and reheated. If we listened to other reviews which stated that this is the«best» of Rogers Park, I’d say y’all need to get to another neighborhood and try something a hell of a lot better. Oh. and they didn’t make any of the food spicy.

Is it authentic? No, but it’s probably one of the better take out Chinese food places around. My wife and I got the«Family Dinner for 2» for $ 23, which was already cheap considering the amount of food that was included. It had Beef and Broccoli, Sweet & Sour Chicken, 2 Egg Rolls, 2 Crab Rangoons and your choice of Won Ton or Hot & Sour Soup. We bought it 2 nights ago, and we’re still working on it. The highlight was definitely the Hot & Sour soup. It had just enough spice and sourness to give you a delicious kick in the throat! On nights when we’ll be too lazy to cook, China Ling will definitely be one of our top options.

The food is very satisfying and the price is pretty decent. My go to order is their shrimp friend rice, salted pepper pork chop, and shrimp eat foo young. Also, gotta love the service that they provide. Gotta support little business in the neighborhood.

We just found our new Chinese Food place in Rogers Park. After trying many of them, only China Ling makes good food at a great price. If you live up here and are looking for Chinese food, don’t waste your time shopping around, just go to China Ling. It’s great!

A force to be reckon with for basics like fried rice and egg foo young at rock bottom prices. Try their fried salt-pepper smelt. Awesome. But make sure you take the lid off ASAP or else you ruin the crispiness. Can’t wait to try their more authentic Chinese pre-fixe family dinners.
