BCBS website said he was taking new patients, should have payed attention to reviews. Office did help me and was good experience, but am new to Chicago and looking for a good perm doctor. Guess I’ll keep looking.

Dr. did message me and apologize for not being able to accommodate me, which was very nice. Upgraded to 2 stars for that, but still doesn’t excuse what I felt was a bait and switch, taking an appointment then on arrival saying list was full.

I should have taken the advice given by those saying he’s not accepting new patients. I gave it a try anyways. Went through the process of providing my information, which includes giving your SSN, only to find out he’s still not taking new patients. Wish I would have been told that up front when I specifically asked to schedule an appointment with him. NMPG, please don’t waste people’s time.

Dr. K and the Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group office on Belmont are great. I’m never left waiting for long periods after my scheduled appointment time. Dr. K listens well and shows genuine concern. He’s also great at explaining things in terms you’ll understand and makes it very comfortable to talk about LGBT issues.

This guy is the fifth gay male doctor with whom I have tried to become a patient. But, as per usual, he’s not accepting patients. Why suddenly are no MALE gay doctors accepting new patients? I can’t get an appointment with my current doctor that’s not 6 – 8 weeks away. What the hell is happening to LGBT healthcare in Chicago?

Recently new to Chicago, I actually found Dr. Konstantelos and NW Memorial Physicians Group here on Unilocal.The reviews could not have been more accurate. The overall group is first-​class — all the basics you need to do are in the same facility and this was the most efficient, on-​time medical experience I’ve had in a LONG time. You feel the professionalism of all the staff from the moment you walk in.
More specifically, Dr. Konstantelos is exactly the kind of person that other doctors should look to emulate — he took the time to listen, has a holistic approach to health, and is kind and insightful in his suggestions. Would recommend Dr. Konstantelos and his colleagues at NW Mem Physicians Group to anybody without hesitation.

I’m one of those people who avoids doctors of any kind. If I’m feeling good — why go, right? Well, a) I’m not that person anymore, and b) ok so perhaps there are things you can’t tell by how you feel that you need someone to tell you about. As for «a», a big part of my change in approach to doctors is because of Dr. K. He’s great — very real, friendly, easy to talk to, talks to you like a person and not a patient and generally makes you feel completely comfortable throughout the visit.
You never feel rushed or that you’re «taking up his valuable time.» While I’m sure his time _​is_​valuable, so is mine and he’s very considerate when it comes to making his appointments on time — or close to it. He is concerned to make sure you get a chance to speak; to ask your questions. You don’t feel like you’re in a factory where you’re on an assembly line and if you don’t speak up before you’re on to the next slot in the process you lose out.
I really am so glad I found him and he has helped me already in many ways. It’s actually not so bad anymore to go to «the doctor» when one should.

I moved from Oak Park a few months ago and liked my Dr. there, but decided to give a local doc a try. I chose him mainly ‘cuz of the Unilocal reviews — and I like that he’s affiliated with Northwestern. SO glad I did! He made me feel so comfortable from the moment he introduced himself. He is patient, understanding and never made me feel rushed. I have recommended him to so many friends in the past few days since seeing him that I think people are going to think I’m on his payroll. Ha. So fortunate to have found him and to live near his practice — although like someone else wrote, he’d be worth a drive.

Dr. Konstanelos is a fantastic physician. Extremely caring, makes you feel as though you are the most important patient, very personable. Highly recommended!!!

Amazing doctor! About ten years ago I had a sore throat and happend to have an appointment with Dr. Konstantelos and never looked back! He has been my GP through marriage, pregnancy, motherhood and hopefully into old age! He is awesome! Very friendly and genuinely cares. You would think you’re his only appointment of the day because he takes his time and listens really well. He really goes above and beyond. He knows I am a total hypochondriac and delivers lab results with speed and is happy to email, call or message them through relay health. Speaking of relay, I can send him a message and he replies quickly which is awesome! He is now at the Belmont location and it’s really, really nice! They have urgent care and radiology too, which saves the hassle of heading downtown! Seriously best doctor ever!!!

The five star reviews here are right on the money. I’ve been seeing Dr Konstantelos for several years, and have been nothing but impressed. Simply put — he’s sharp and he cares –what more could you want in a physician? Excellent follow up as well.
And how did I find Dr K? He was referred to me by my neighbor’s Internist who has a great reputation but was no longer taking new patients. When I had my neighbor ask his physician for a referral that he’d allow to treat his own family, Dr Konstantelos was his first recommendation.

Dr. K is awesome! I started going to him in December of 2010, and I won’t need a new doctor until he retires. :)
He is thorough, he takes his time, he doesn’t rush you, he allows you to ask questions, he makes you feel comfortable, and he is just all around great.
I feel comfortable asking him anything and asking about any symptoms. He’s great at what he does.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Konstantelos for over 5 years now. Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable; all the things you’d want in a doctor. But he also goes above and beyond to make you feel like he truly cares about your health and overall well-​being. He listens and remembers pretty much anything you say. I’ve never had a doctor before that I’ve been so comfortable with. Minus the fact that I’m usually sick when I’m there, it usually feels like I’m just going to hang out with an old friend for awhile. Yes, he’s just that good. I hope I never have to find another PCP.

I saw Dr. Konstantelos for the first time yesterday. I have been looking for a new PCP and am confident that I will not be going anywhere else.
The office was very busy when I showed up however I did not feel rushed at all during my appointment. I was able to list all of my concerns and ask any questions. At no point did I feel like I was being a nuisance, nor was I scoffed at for saying I had read up some information on my symptoms.
Dr. Konstantelos is very personable and easy to talk to. The rest of the staff are also very friendly. He takes your concerns seriously and answers any questions. I have never walked out of a doctor’s office feeling like I had been so clearly understood.

I wound up seeing Dr. K. on accident one day when I had a terrible sore throat and my existing PCP (Dr. Boholst) was out of the office. Wow — what a stroke of good luck that was in the end.
First off — I’ve always hated doctors. They make me nervous, hate the smell of doctor’s offices, etc. (you name it). I have never felt so comfortable speaking to a doctor in all of my life as with this guy. So much in fact that I switched to him as my PCP and have never looked back. He keeps eye contact, writes down everything that comes out of your mouth and gives you plenty of follow up instructions as you depart the office.
I never feel rushed in an appointment and wind up getting to «check in» on any issue I’m having with my body without feeling as if I’m wasting his time. He remembers minute details about my medical history and personal life as well. As a gay man, I can talk openly to him about dating, LGBT related items and he has a great sense of humor (sidebar — any LGBT person should see him or Boholst at NMPG –amazing guys). As a matter of fact, we both broke out into a chorus of «It’s Raining Men» while talking about dating one time… you don’t get that anywhere else.
When it came to actual medical issues, he’s totally on top of his game. I had blood work results back the next day, referrals to COMPETENT specialists at NMH, and best of all he will personally badger any colleague who is prolonging getting me test results. This guy’s on your side from the beginning and I cannot speak highly enough of him.
Send all your friends to him — definitely one of a kind.

I decided to see Dr. K because my PCP was booked. I love my PCP so I didn’t know what to expect. Well since that initial visit, I have gone back about 3 times! He is usually available at the times I need. He is very personable. He has you sit down in a chair next to him while he types all the info (symptoms) on his computer. He has excellent eye contact! He is very thorough and I feel like I can ask any question (silly or not). He has referred me to other great Doctors for other health issues.
An added plus is he is a graduate of a Chicago Public School which I am too and it makes me feel good to see a successful CPS student in medical field… and a fabulous one at that!!!
See this Dr… you won’t regret it, in fact you will feel 100% better!

This time of year there are tons of people way more sick than me waiting to be seen but Dr. Konstantelos never makes me feel like a number or just another patient, or like I’m wasting his time.
He is a wonderful, caring and compassionate doctor who truly seems to care and listen. He always goes the extra mile to help me, to really listen and try to come up with solutions and do more than is required to get me better than new. He even looks at all the vitamins I bring in! He is very easy to talk with and he remembers things about me like where I work, what I do and even where I’ve gone on vacation. He is so very personable and friendly yet very professional.
Dr. Konstantelos is the kind of empathetic yet solid doctor that you would hope to have if you could. I feel lucky to have him as my GP and on my side so to speak medically. I would follow him wherever he goes.
