Clean Freaks Cleaning Service

I have been using Clean Freaks for several months now. BiBi does a great job on my one bedroom place. It’s great to come home to a clean home.

We’ve had about 5 different cleaning services before doing Clean Freaks. Teidra arrived on time and did a thorough cleaning, even doing the baseboards, which hadn’t been done in a long time. I only wish we would have booked her for more time, since she wasn’t able to do the basement too. Next time we are going to do a longer time for sure. We will use this service again!

I wanted a cleaning service to make my life *easier*, not to give myself something else to manage.
The cleaning people themselves are good, effective workers. The office side of this business, however, ended up causing me headaches.
First headache: they cancelled my recurring weekly cleaning for the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. What’s the point of being a loyal customer if you’re the first one booted when things get busy? And before one of the few days a year when you really *need* a clean home?!
Second headache: they sent me a notice that my cleaner was to arrive at 8am on Monday. At 8:40am, I called for an update because no one had arrived.
No response.
Then sometime around 2pm, a nice, earnest woman randomly showed up. Not 8am, as promised in the email notice. And still no word from Clean Freaks to let me know what was going on.
That’s enough for me. Between work and family, I have enough to handle. I don’t need to add «managing my cleaning service» to my list.
I’m off to find a reliable cleaning company and I’d recommend you do the same.

Samantha did an amazing job deep cleaning my condo. I’m very very happy that we decided to hire someone to come clean it and she definitely exceeded expectations!

Scheduling Clean Freaks was easy and efficient. Calls/​emails were answered quickly. Samantha was the housekeeper sent to clean and she did an awesome job! This was a gift for my daughter’s apt and I have to admit she did a better job and much quicker than I could and I’m pretty OCD about cleaning.

Although the initial booking process was a bit slow, I thought that the professional who cleaned my apartment, Latasha, was very thorough and did a great job. She arrived on time and did everything that I asked her to do. I never knew that the chrome fixtures could sparkle as bright! I have now arranged for Latasha to come back every 2 weeks and I’m looking forward to a complete and thorough cleaning each time.

Very disappointed the second time around. Clean freaks did a move out cleaning for me last month and it was great.
I had them come back a few days ago to clean my new place after I’d settled in. After the cleaning I realized that baseboards were still filthy, the bathroom sink wasn’t done, and after the final billing, the tech somehow spent three hours in my home? I was at work while they were there and now I wonder what they really were doing to spend all that time.
Overall, this is ideal for move out clean, but not for a regular one.

I was referred to Clean Freaks from a friend and was very impressed with their service. I had never hired a professional cleaning service so I didn’t really know what I would get but I was very pleased with the cleaning.
I have a 1,000-square-foot one bedroom got the deep clean for the first time. Since I was referred I got $ 25 off my service and the total was a lot less than I expected.
I set up recurring cleaning services on a monthly basis.
My only complaint would be that my arrival window was between 8 – 8:30 and she got there at 8:45 because she couldn’t find parking. I was running late for work so I had to just leave her the keys, but she did an excellent job cleaning based on the notes I gave to the customer service agent and she returned my key to the doorman.
I would love to see them create an app to make scheduling and payment easier but the current process also works fine.

I had a wonderful experience with Clean Freaks. Yesterday was our first deep clean and Samantha was amazing! She was very friendly and I felt completely comfortable leaving her in my apartment. I was very impressed with the thorough cleaning; I don’t think I’ve ever seen my house so clean! I’ll definitely be scheduling another appointment.

After reading the reviews, I was so excited to check this place out. I promptly filled out the form and when I submitted it, I was promised I would receive a response within 24 hours. I received nothing. NOTHING… not even an automated response. If this is an indication of how the business is run, I would stay far, far away.

Scheduling with Clean Freaks was easy and efficient. I was a bit surprised that one person was sent to do the cleaning assessment and the first deep clean because that is a lot of work for one person. However, she was really thorough. She spent about 4 hours in my 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo– She did a fantastic job and I was very impressed.
I set up recurring cleaning services on a monthly basis, and will definitely use them biweekly if I find I need them more frequently. I have a dog who sheds, hardwood floors, and gabbeh wool rugs. All products were pet safe and not harsh, which is important to me.
I would highly recommend using this service– they are professional, dependable, and reliable. Additionally, the rate is very reasonable, and they do a thorough job… she spent time cleaning the baseboards and all molding on doors. My only recommendation is that they work in teams of 2; this way the job is done faster and they don’t get as tired!

This was my first time using Clean Freaks and the booking/​correspondence was incredibly easy. My appointment time was between 8 – 8:30 and Samantha showed up a couple of minutes before 8! It was wonderful. She was extremely friendly, which put me at ease and comfortable leaving her in my apartment alone.
My apartment hadn’t been deep cleaned in some time, so unfortunately, Samantha wasn’t able to clean some of the things I would have liked her to (blinds, floors, ceiling fans) but the rooms and areas she was able to get to were thoroughly cleaned; she tackled my bathroom, which had grime and cat hair piled up, which was quite the task.
All-​in-​all, this service was great and I’d like to give them another try to see if they could do the full «deep clean» this time around. I think with a regular service, it’ll be much easier.

After a few unsuccessful experiences with another cleaning service?!?
I’ve finally found the answer! Clean Freaks (love the name btw) provided awesome service all the way through the process — Initial inquiry follow –up, quick price quote and booking. Bibi arrived on time and thoroughly deep cleaned my condo. She was friendly, professional and didn’t mind leaving her alone to clean away. I just booked re-​occurring service and looking forward to having a clean place.

I finally bit the bullet and let someone else clean my house. I found clean freaks on Unilocal and got the $ 25 deal, which was nice.
Rashida arrived on time and did a great job. She even got the mildew out of the grout in the shower! She was very professional and friendly and I completely trusted leaving her alone to do her thing. I ordered the recurring service and look forward to having a clean house without the stress!
It was easy to schedule and pay and everyone I’ve spoken with was friendly, professional and responsive.

This was the first time I used Clean Freaks and was bracing myself, given my past poor experiences with Handy.
I couldn’t be more wrong. Bibi was the BEST and I’ve since set up recurring services because I was so pleased with the quality. Bibi was the friendliest professional, and I trusted her with my apartment as soon as she walked in. I left for a bit while she was cleaning and returned to a virtually spotless place — all the corners were properly cleaned, and a few of my specifications (i.e. the fridge) were cleaned as I would have expected. Bibi exceeded my expectations and I am so pleased to have finally found a great cleaning service in Chicago.

We had booked Clean Freaks 3 weeks in advance to clean our apartment because we were moving out. On the scheduled day they were supposed to come between 10 and noon. At 10:30 on the day they were supposed to come they called to say that no one was coming. THEY CANCELED ON US A HALF HOUR AFTER THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO SHOW UP!
We asked if they could get anyone out to us because we were moving out of state the next day. Their reply was «nope, sorry, that sucks». They never even called back later that day after we asked them to continue to search for a replacement for their unreliable employees.
It was the end of the month and I was stuck finding a move out cleaner to come that day.
After calling 20 places, Companion Maids was nice enough to return my call and send a guy out.
Clean Freaks are COMPLETELY UNRELIABLE!!!

I used their service June/​2015 for a terminal clean of our place.
Pros: Cheap, friendly (on the phone and in person), accomodating (I forgot they needed to bring an insurance form to our bldg and they got it together despite it being a Saturday), thorough cleaning.
Cons: Late– they were projected to be at our place between 10 – 12 and didn’t actually arrive until close to 2. The clean took longer than projected because the person (Nick) was being trained. However they did not charge us extra for added time because he was training which was nice.
Conclusion: Nick– the person who cleaned our apartment– was really nice and tried really hard. He’s training which made him slower but that’s fine. We all have to start somewhere. I’d use their services again.

This is my fourth cleaning service I’ve tried and before I thought that maybe my expectations were just too high. But no! I finally found Clean Freaks and I realize I’m not the crazy one. A place that calls you back promptly? That is clear about their pricing and easy to schedule? Finally.
The cleaning itself was very thorough, and Bibi did a great job. She was easy to talk to, communicated when she had a question and seemed really intent on doing a good job and making sure I was happy with the result. I have finally found someone I want to hire again and that lives up to my (too high?) expectations.

After a semester of both working and going to school, my apartment needed a serious cleaning! Thankfully, I found Clean Freaks and I am so glad that I did.
I received a prompt response to my inquiry regarding getting a cleaning and the customer service was incredible!
Teidra, who came to clean my apartment, was completely professional and an all around great person! I was also really impressed with her attention to detail, self sufficiency and desire to have the apartment look its best. My apartment looked and still looks (2 weeks later) amazing!
I will definitely be using Clean Freaks again! I also love how they use non-​toxic cleaning supplies. That just added to the exceptional experience for me.

I have had to change cleaning services a number of times over the years, primarily because they just couldn’t remember to clean the things they promised to clean. «Sweep and wash the floor … okay … did you sweep and wash the floor … no …»
I’ve been a customer of Clean Freaks for a little over a year now and I have to say I am wildly happy about this company.
What’s to love?
— Consistency. They show up on time, and if there’s a delay or issue, they let me know.
— Flexibility. I’ve had to change and cancel and they have always accommodated my reschedules.
— Quality. They clean, they clean well, they clean fast, they clean quiet.
— Employees. Very low turnover, and the folks that have been here have always listened to what I have to say, and performed their work with a smile. My current cleaner has been here since day one.
— Payments. I’ve had issues with incorrect debit from my checking account with other firms. Not a single issue with Clean Freaks!
I want to specifically call out Teidra, who is my current cleaning goddess. She is absolutely fabulous and pleasure to work with.
