Can’t believe how petty climate guard is. We bought 2 window springs that costed 12 bucks when we went to install it it was the wrong size. we went back to swap it out to get the right size and they refuse the exchange and had to buy two new ones. If the quality of the window was better maybe I wouldn’t of need to be replacing these springs every 6 months .poor service

Just had Climate Guard come out to replace some windows under warranty. I want to commend Juan and Jose for their excellent service. They called to inquire if they could come by early — no problem! Once here they were very personable, fast and left everything just like they found it. They also replaced a few stop clips and lock
parts that we were missing on other windows, gave us a few tips on proper care and maintenance. Great customer service. I would highly recommend Climate Guard for your window needs.

10 years ago a contractor put climate guard windows into our home. Today we needed to replace several of the tilt-​out window clips on those windows, and called to purchase some. After emailing with Gladys in customer service, we spoke to her, and not only did she send out the window clips, but she sent them out free of charge. We did not expect that but love the great customer service! Thank you Gladys and Climate –guard Windows!

Buy Pella or some other windows. The Climate guard windows are hard, correction very hard, to open and close and the hardware that holds the windows in the guide have all been breaking. I had Pella in the last house we rehabbed and they were outstanding.

I needed to get a replacement part for ClimateGuard windows that were installed in my condo several previous owners ago. Prepared for a long and possibly expensive process of finding the part, I filled out a contact form online late last night and was contacted first thing this morning by Gladys from the company. She took excellent care of my request and left me truly delighted! The parts are in the mail, and overall it was a quick and very positive interaction.

Would have never used this company had our insurance policy with our new house not required them (broken window and had warranty with Climate Guard). The two stars are because our window did get installed and it seems of decent quality.
At initial consultation, we were quoted 10 days for our window to be made. It is normally a 5 day turnaround, but we requested tempered glass, so that’s why it was 5 additional days. On business day 11, I called to ask for an update and the receptionist (who I could barely understand at first) said that her records indicated our window had been installed. I told her that the records were wrong. She had the audacity to ask me if I was sure. I responded with «you’re joking, right? Why would I be calling if the window had ready been installed?» She then asked if I was looking at the right window! Um, yeah. I told her that I was looking at the window at that exact moment and it was definitely not repaired. I gave her my phone number to call back after she found out what was wrong. She called my husband instead (since I pretty much screamed her ear off, I’m sure!) and told him that it was a mistake and that the window was not ready yet since it was tempered and took more time. Apparently the initial estimated date for a tempered glass window was completely wrong!
I called two business days later to schedule the installation and we did for two days after that between 8 and 10am. I bet my husband that they would not show. On the day of install, I called precisely at 10am only to find out from the same dumb receptionist that our window was still not ready and that my husband was left a voicemail about it. I asked her when it would be ready and she didn’t know. I told her that, at this point, I’d like to cancel the order. She took my name and number so someone could call me and cancel the order. I left to run errands and my husband called to say that the window had been installed at 11am. He also said the voicemail he received just said that the window was finishing up and the installers would be an hour late.
Why does no one correctly inform the receptionist? Or can she not read notes?
Anyway, I never received a phone call back. I know the window was installed, however, the customer service is absolutely ridiculous. The receptionist needs to be fired. I could do her job in a heartbeat. Anyone could do her job in a heartbeat.
If you have a choice, do not use Climate Guard.

We’ve been trying to get one cracked window repaired (which ClimateGuard originally installed) on our house for about six months. They have sent folks out twice to take measurements, because they did not keep the measurements of the brand new windows on file. Both times, the measurements and record of any visit disappeared. ClimateGuard is coming out again Monday to measure our window, in the hopes that third time is the charm.
I’ll let you know how the repair holds up, on the slim chance that the company manages to follow through on that.

I was looking to buy a security gate and most of the models available in the show room just did not fit my needs. After speaking with a couple of of the sales reps I was about to leave discouraged until Chuck simply just said can I help you. Well that was it I described to him exactly what I wanted and after some brainstorming he simply said I can have that made for you. In a short period of time I had my door. I bought this door in November 2013 and never got around to installing it before the bad winter we had. Now that we finally had steady warm weather I decided to install it. Well during the installation there were a few scratches we created and wanted to touch them up; however, the the paint at the big box stores didn’t match. I walked in a few days ago and asked Chuck for some touch up paint and poof no problem a 2^nd time. To be honest I don’t think he remembered me, but it didn’t matter he took care of me in the same manner.

Those little spring-​loaded latches on the new-​style thermopane windows that pop open so you can swing out a double hung window and clean both sides of it… well, I had some break on a few of my windows I had a contractor install some 7 years ago. Makes the windows difficult to raise and lower or they may swing out and drop on you, and possibly break. Not a difficult fix, though, as only 2 screws need to be removed to take out the part and replace it.
I came here on a Friday afternoon to get some of these latches at the customer counter. Inside the old warehouse building, there is a large showroom of doors and windows from Climate Guard. Lots of Polish and Mexican contractors walking around, carrying window parts or picking up orders. At the customer service desk, it almost feels like a payday at the bank where everyone is bringing in their checks to cash. Small children crying get a bowl of candy, cashiers telling people to step aside and let the next person come up.
Busy place, but plenty of parking in their big lot. For $ 1.50 each, I got the window latches and was on my way in less than 15 minutes. Pretty convenient to shop at if you have locally made Climate Guard windows. Not far from Logan Square or Lakeview, near Pulaski & Fullerton makes it pretty central for Chicago residents, whether you’re on the north, northwest or farther east closer to the lake.

Windows and sliding door are beautiful but the window spring was broken and the locking clip was also broken prior to installation. A Service technician came to fix the issue and tells me his van got broken into and the parts to fix it got stolen. I call back to reschedule the warranty repair and am now being charged a service fee for the warrantied work. I’ll never do business with them again.

I have been a customer and bring my clients here often. I have purchased products ranging from windows to kitchen cabinetry and other accessories such as counter tops, sinks and bathroom supplies. I have been a customer for over 10 years and I love them! I always am very happy with the service and final product because my customers are also happy!

I have been looking to replace two non-​opening front windows with casement windows ever since I moved in. I received quotes from Home Depot, Feldco, and finally Remodelers supply. Not only was Remodelers supply $ 400 cheaper than the competition but they can have the windows installed 10 days faster than everyone else.
Fernando the salesman was very helpful in making sure the windows qualify for the free O’Bama money, because how can you buy anything thess days without getting some sort of government money. It’s unreal how much money the governement is handing out, but who am I to judge.

Very thorough home improvement store. Actually, it’s not just a store, it’s a whole complex, comprised of at least 3 or 4 separate buildings… One is all windows/​doors, I don’t even know what the other is, and the other is primarily plumbing and kitchen/​bath. They also have lumber and all of that… They also have a «green» home center somewhere right here in this complex.
They carry a lot of top name brands… Many of which are too luxurious to be carried by Home Depot or Lowes.
Price wise their prices aren’t that great, particularly if you’re just wanting to do a small project. You can find almost anything cheaper online.
However, they give steep discounts to developers. Our developer gets a 30% or so discount there I believe… Even with that discount we were still able to beat his prices by buying online, even after having things shipped to us some things were worth the trouble of buying ourselves… For instance, for the same price our developer was paying for his Grohe faucets here, we got a nicer model/​line of Grohe faucets shipped to us for less money. Even after his 30% discount.
I don’t know if they’re willing to haggle with non-​huge-​volume buyers, but it seems like with their pricing they have to be able to.

When we bought our house about 8 years ago, we bought all new ClimateGuard replacement windows from Remodelers Supply. The windows have held up and are fine, with the exception of 2 that have cracked window panes due to the house settling (it’s an old house).
We called RSC back in mid-​June when we found out they had a mobile repair service. They told us someone would be out to measure the windows on ⁶⁄₂₉ between 12:00 — 2:00. I ran errands that morning, only to come home at 11:10 to a furiously ringing doorbell. It was the RSC guy telling me he was about to leave b/​c he figured I wasn’t home. When I told him that our appointment was between 12 – 2, he made some sort of smart-​ass comment like «Most people appreciate when I arrive early». He then proceeded to rush (with my guidance) to the windows in need of repair. He took several measurements, noted the style & color and on his way out said someone would be out the next week to install the new windows.
So, a week passes and we don’t hear from anyone. I called them and left a message for someone I was told was a manager. No return call. I waited until the following week (now 2 weeks past the day the first guy was here) and again, left a message but never got a return call. Week 3 — I call AGAIN only to be told (by someone named Roman) that the reason no one has called us to schedule an installation appointment was because they never received payment from us. Ummmm… hello!!! No one ever called us to ask for payment or tell us the windows were ready. So I give the guy a credit card number, only to be told the soonest he could have the installer come out was 2 weeks later. Now we’re talking 5 weeks since the first guy came out.
Week 5 — the installer shows up, but with the wrong windows! The inside of the window was white which was correct, but the part that faces the outside was bronze! Should have been white on both sidesl. I called again and asked to speak to a manager. This time I was put through to someone named Brian. For a manager he was a jerk. Not only was he totally unapologetic, he tried to pin the mix up on me! I told him the whole story and he said he would get «right back to me in a few minutes.» Well, 6 HOURS later he called and said that MY contractor must have given his installer the wrong info. Umm… we didn’t have a contractor — it was his stupid-​ass employee that took the measurements! Then he also asked why I changed my mind from bronze on the outside to white. I never changed my mind about anything — it’s always been ALL WHITE! He PROMISED to get the situation resolved immediately and have someone come out the following week to install the new windows.
So, the next week (week 6 if you’re keeping track) the installer never showed up for the appointment. Great — yet ANOTHER couple of hours of work missed for me! I call to complain AGAIN and was told it was a misunderstanding (on MY part, of course) and that he REALLY told me it would be this week that someone was coming out. Remember, these people have been paid in full ($ 355) for the last 6 weeks at that point.
Finally, today’s appointment comes (now 8 weeks past the initial visit). They were here on time (between 2:00 — 4:00, they showed up at 3:00) and guess what… The windows were now the correct color and style, but TOTALLY the wrong size!
I’m SOOOO fed up with this place I can’t even tell you. My next step is going to be calling the BBB on them. The worst part is that my husband is a general contractor and he has done probably over $ 150,000 of business with them over the last 8 – 10 years.
I will absolutely NEVER EVER order or buy anything from them again. Worst customer service ever. If I could give them a negative 5 starts, that would still be too good.

We have taken windows here to be repaired and have always been satisfied with the repair and with the service. People you talk to are friendly, and they don’t charge an arm + leg to get your work done. I reccommend them to everybody!
