to be completely honest I grew up so close to one of these Coconuts record Store that I literally would hop on my old school Dyno & go buy some cd’s or trade in my old stuff for some new one’s…
I would still stop by there from time to time, that was until they closed down from loosing business to the internet…
that’s what sucks about with great places like these too much overhead and and not enough money coming in makes them close down real quick…
well I loved going there because not only can you listen to everyone of the cd’s before you buy them, you usually find some cd’s from back in the day that you cant find in store’s or online for that matter…

Good record store that seems to be pretty well located in Hyde Park next to a Starbucks. I think this is a good place to go if you want some more mainstream music or need help picking out a gift for a friend or relative.

I don’t think this is the place to go if your looking for a certain CD. They have some selection but not great. Chicago has so many huge music stores and places you can try before hitting this place up. I suggest Virgin Records or something along those lines.
