Kevin is a life saver!!! have a door i hadn’t been able to open for over a year. builder used a lock that i had 3 other locksmiths look at and couldn’t get it to unlock and open. Not only did Kevin get it opened, he was professional, on time, reasonable, and personable! Thank you Kevin!!!

Needed to rekey my locks for added security reasons and I found Collier as the closest to my location. After I called Kevin came promptly and fixed both licks in less than 20min, he’s amazing I can’t say more than that! I would strongly recommend him as one of the best locksmiths !

Hired Collier to relocate a intercom from the lobby to the exterior of an apartment building. Took them literally weeks to run conduit and wire up the intercom, because the weather was cold. After telling me that everything was working fine, Collier himself, came to pick up a check for his services, which I paid. The next day I check the intercom and nothing is working and there’s a horrible static buzzing sound coming from it. Called him back out and he checked over everything and tells me that the rest of the wiring to the units is bad and there’s nothing he can do about it without rewiring the entire building. At that point I started to feel like I was being scammed.
So I called Mega Locksmith’s and they came out and looked at the problem. Took the tech about an hour to figure out that Collier had improperly wired the intercom and fixed the problem in a couple more hours. Cost me another $ 500 on top of what I had already paid Collier. Collier also charged me to replace an intercom amplifier (according to him it was the cause of the buzzing) at a 1000% markup from what the local hardware store charges for the same amp, which was later found to be in perfect working order.
I regret doing business with Collier Lock and would not recommend hiring them to do any electric work with intercoms. They’re clearly not qualified and extremely dishonest.

John is terrific. I called last minute and he was more than happy to help out. Very reliable, professional and good person to deal with.

Called Collier to change the locks on my new house. Made an appointment on Monday for the following Friday afternoon. They asked me to provide the names of the deadbolt manufacturers so they could cut the keys in advance. Great, will do.
Guy showed up 45 min late. It was a change out of 2 very old deadbolts — even though I gave them the information in advance he didn’t have the parts with him so he had to drive back to the shop. All in all changing out two deadbolts took about 2 hours.
It was the day after New Year’s and they seemed very busy, but I did have an appt. The guy that showed up was very nice and accommodating and their pricing seemed fair, so I appreciated that. But they don’t take credit cards (really???) and didn’t have the part even though I took the time to send the information in advance. I think I’ll try someone else next time.

Went out to get a package the mailman left on the porch and the front door to my unit closed behind me. Luckily I was in the vestibule of my building and not out in the cold. Called John and he was here in 10 minutes flat. 11 seconds later he open ed the door and was quickly on his way with a great thanks from me. Simply the best.

Great Locksmith. Very professional. We use Collier to install and fix our intercom systems. They are very knowledgeable and have good pricing.

These guys are professionals and extremely reliable! I cannot say enough good things about them. They helped me on two different occasions. Don’t call 1−800-locksmith. You will get ripped off for sure!

We bought a unit in an older building, 100 year old locks. Looked to Unilocal for a good locksmith and thank goodness we ran across Collier. Bobbie in the office, and Kevin in the field were TERRIFIC. We were able to send a couple pictures of what we had, they were immediately familiar and came on a Saturday to help us out. They offered to replace one of the locks with a ‘good’, ‘better’ and then said ‘best’ was to take apart and service the 100 year old one ’cause it was still just fine. Honest, explained things, recommended a local hardware store to make keys vs. charging us a ton for that. Can’t say enough positive about Kevin and the Collier Lock and Security Company.

Unfortunately I can’t leave 0 stars so I’ll have to settle for one. About 15 min after my appointment to have my locks changed was scheduled to take place, I receive a call reprimanding me for not giving them the brand of locks that I use despite the fact that I had given that to them the day before. Then an hour after my appointment time I receive a call that they can’t find a place to park and ask if they can reschedule. Considering that I took time off of work for this appointment and their lack of customer service skills, I am calling a different locksmith and will never schedule another appointment with Collier.

John came out on short notice to my new condo, cut a lock the old owners left and re-​keyed my mailbox in about 10 minutes. He was awesome and I would use this company again in a heartbeat!

His hours may say he’s only open M-​F, but when we got locked out of our apartment on Saturday morning, John, the owner came to let us in 30 minutes after we called.
It’s pretty embarrassing to lock yourself out, but he was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. As he was fixing our lock he even took it apart to show us exactly how it worked (and why it broke in the first place).
John mentioned that he’s been a locksmith for 40 years. His knowledge and love for what he does is clear. We’ll be passing their number around the building in case anyone else gets locked out. This one’s a keeper.

A simply great locksmith. These guys came over within 30 minutes to help my aunt and uncle get into their home. We had already tried 3 other locksmiths, and they wouldn’t even be able to come out for 2 – 3 days, leaving us all literally out in the cold. After Collier arrived, he opened the door quickly, and then was able to help us fix the lock that previously was not opening.
He was punctual, courteous, and very professional. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone who needs a locksmith.

Hours on Unilocal said that they’re open Monday through Friday, so when I accidentally locked myself out on a Sunday, I felt worried that my call would go unanswered.
Luckily, this wasn’t the case. John answered my call, and he told me he can help me get back into my apartment for $ 75.
John came over within 15 minutes and let me back into my apartment. He asked for my ID to make sure I actually live in the apartment. Then I paid him $ 75 in cash.

After reading all the great reviews, I wanted to hire Collier to change the locks and hardware on the condo I had purchased. I called on a Friday afternoon, and spoke to a guy who asked me to call a different number and leave a message (he said he was on the street) and promised to give me a call back in the morning.
A woman called me back the following Thursday. Six days later. By that time I’d already had the work done by someone a little more prompt at returning phone calls.
I mean, I guess I’m glad I wasn’t locked out and waiting for them to call me back. See? There’s a bright side to everything.
Return calls in a timely manner, folks. Pretty simple rule of running a business. And if you don’t have time and can’t take the job? It takes exactly 30 seconds to call and tell me that.

We just had Collier Lock back to our place this week, to rekey all the Schlage locks for our condo. John himself did the work. He was on time, and the cost was reasonable. On a visit several years ago, he shared that there is a padlock that can use a Schlage key.

I heart this place! Here’s why…
You can go any where to get keys made. You have millions of places you can call to get a lock replaced or if you lock yourself out of your place. But there are very few places with the experience and expertise these guys have regarding intercom systems. I am on the board of my condo association, therefore am responsible for many of the maintenance items for the entire building. Our building was a gut rehab. Unfortunately, we had a really crappy builder (Don’t ever buy a building built by Absolute Builders! They are scam artists!) and have had many issues with the building. One of the things is our intercom system. It never worked correctly and eventually some units systems stopped working completely.
I, being the girl I am, first called my Daddy to ask him for a referral. He told me to call Collier Lock. I called and made an appointment for later that week. The owner himself, John, came to look at the system. After introductions, he asked me if I was related to a Fred (my father). How many repairs guys do you know who actually remember their customers!!! Seriously, I was impressed. If he remembers the work he did for my Dad, then this is going to be some great customer service!
Anyway, after testing and playing with the system for over 2 hours, the verdict came in that there was no hope for permanently repairing the existing system. Instead of saying «too bad for you», they came up with some solutions to fix the immediate issues and gave me some ideas and prices for what they offer if my association decided to replace the entire system.
Since our first encounter, I have had them out many times to do some additional temporary repairs. Each time, the tech they send is very knowledgeable and patient with all of my questions/​concerns. My board has finally voted to replace the system so I will be calling Collier Lock soon to set up another appointment!!!

I needed my front door lock repaired. It’s super old and was sticking and locking me out. The woman who made the appointment was friendly and seemed knowledgeable (although the work order turned out to be wrong when the technician arrived).
Dan was very friendly and professional. He was able to complete the job despite the work order being incorrect. He knew what he was doing and rather than replacing the whole lock mechanism, which is what I had expected him to do and what I had expected to pay for, he worked with my lock to repair it. It works great now and I’m thrilled to have saved some money.
They also have a referral program, through which one can earn cash back by providing discount cards to friends and neighbors.

I called these folks up to re-​key some locks because they were right around the corner from home — and I’m glad to know they’re in the neighborhood. They were able to schedule a service appointment in just a couple of days, and the whole thing was taken care of promptly.
I would have given them 5 stars but for the fact that the first appointment nearly fell through — something about another appointment running late and them missing a guy that day. By the time they arrived, it was too late to do the entire job (which would have involved a trip to their workshop and then back again with some parts) — but they recovered some points by scheduling the next appointment after their normal hours so that I wouldn’t have to take another afternoon off work. Also, the eventual price was lower than what they’d orginally quoted (and a lot lower than I’d expected to pay) — which always helps. I’d definitely use them again.
