It’s the worst school then i ever gone in Chicago. My friend wanted to transfer to this school 1 month later after her shool done. She completed her all documents, she also paid transfer fee $ 100. They have to do only one thing that is get the acceptance letter from school where her transfer from. But they did not follow the time, they did not do their job and after 2 months later they call and say that i’m sorry you lost your statu and we can not do anything. if you did your job well, you would not need to say that. I have never seen unprofessional school as CSI. Almost none of adviser help you you never know about your attandance or anything, nobody let you know till you got in trouble after that they said its your responsibility. I used to go to Kaplan and BIR and i never get in trouble like CSI. There is only one thing left to say please think over and over if you wanna go to CSI. I’m definitely not to recommend that.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! As every school does, people are always supposed to know the class start dates ahead of time, they acted like they didn’t know the dates so they can sign me up instantly for the one starting within a few days. I told them that I am just researching schools to find the right one and want to start school in 4 or 5 months, She right away started talking to me about a class that starts on August 26^th and kept pressuring me to apply and start my financial aid process. I have attended college prior so I have experienced first hand what it is like to talk with an advisor and advisors always suggest pathways for you and not force it upon you like this company did. I spoke with their advisor Vanessa, and every time I would ask questions regarding tuition or class dates, she would beat around the bush and try to change the subject. A person that I came in contact with that is friends with an employee at CSI claims that the advisors get paid commission for each student they sign up by a certain date. This is not how a school should work. Also why would you want to pay $ 15,000 for a certificate job where you only earn $ 12/​hr??? I ended up calling another representative and asking them questions as if I am a new prospective student moving to Chicago and wanting to start classes in September and he had the dates for right away. His name was Bob and he told me I can start classes on Sep 9^th or on Sep 23^rd. And when I came back and talked to Vanessa, she said «Hi Teressa, I just got out the meeting with my boss and he says there are no dates available yet». Obviously she is making it seem like there are no definite classes yet and I should just sign up for the one that starts in a few days. I told her «Vanessa, no offense but you and your employer are lying to me, I spoke with Bob and he in fact did have class dates. I am no longer interested in attending to your school. » … I am sorry for the long story of what happened but I think people should be aware of what they are getting into when it comes to family owned schools like these. They were lying to me from the beginning and just trying to make a profit off of students instead of actually investing into a better future for the student.

Disclaimer: I am not a student/​customer/​employee here, I just went for a visit.
Normally because of that I wouldn’t write a review, however I felt compelled to write one because 2 of the other reviews are also from non-​students.
First, to address the two other reviews. The person I spoke to accurately quoted starting salaries in the field in the range of 38,000 give or take.
Secondly, I was under no pressure to sign today. In fact I was encouraged to check out other schools before I made a decision.
Lastly, in regards to tuition, their price seems right on track. It’s a 32 week program so it’s the equivalent of two semesters. The price is about 75% of the cost of two semesters at a fairly low priced university such as UIC. Granted, this is just for certifications but I still feel like it’s a good deal.
All in all I had a great experience. I had talked to someone over the phone several times and decided to go down today to check the place out. I expected a normal sales pitch and some pressure to make a commitment. That didn’t happen at all. I was given information, encouraged to ask questions and encouraged to take all of this information and compare it to other places.
I was informed they have classes starting all the time and being a small school they process things quickly so I wouldn’t have to worry about getting paperwork in months in advance.
All in all, not sure if it’s a fit for me yet but it’s definitely a place I’ll consider and my time there today left a very good impression!
