Very, very happy with this place. The customer service is amazing and it’s clear that they want you to be happy. They are grateful you are their customer! I really liked the work they did. I spoke mostly with Julie and Billy, and they were both so great to work with. I definitely recommend bringing your car there.

This review is prior to receiving my car… and I’m basing it solely on customer service. All I have to say is MIKE! It is never a good thing to go through the process of having to get your car fixed, obtaining a rental, and paying a deductible. That feeling of «Where do I take my car now?» with millions of Body Shops in the area. Well I’m glad I chose Cosmetic Auto and I am thankful that Mike was the one to walk me through the process. Cannot speak enough kind words as to the customer service he provided.

I had a several choices to get my busted side view mirror replaced. My insurance agent (from Allstate) recommended Cosmetic Auto Trim and I can’t remember having a more positive experience when I’ve had to deal with mechanical or auto body repair over the past 35 years.
These guys were excellent! The estimator I worked with was great. He gave me a positive feeling right off the bat. He was personable, professional, did what he quoted he’d do on the timeline and was 100% honest — he never tried to blow smoke up my butt which is something I almost expect on a first visit to a place like this. But not here.
In addition, the price they quoted for the work was very reasonable. I received two prior quotes from neighborhood shops and nobody came close to Cosmetic’s price.
Anyway, everyone knows you only get one chance to make a good ‘first impression’ and Cosmetic Auto Body knocked it out of the park. If I ever have to get any body work done in the future, I will go to these guys first and I strongly recommend you do, too.

I was 100% motivated to write this review because of the horrendous customer interaction I had at this shop. Before I get into the details of my vehicle, I must insist that you never reach out to this business because of how they treat their customers.
I must also preface this by saying this was my first time coming here. I was recommended by my insurance company (which I subsequently dropped right after this incident — Erie Insurance). The woman that handled the front desk (basic customer service) was one of the more rude people I have ever met. The days leading up to me getting my vehicle involved several phone calls with her — all of which I wish I wasn’t forced to have. She was snippy, annoyed and was most interested in their precious 5PM close time.
The car is a high end SUV, about 3 years old, that had just been in a fender bender. Basic repairs: front bumper, one of the headlights, grill, and a few ancillary pieces. The man handling my car told me that the brake light was on — indicating new brake pads were needed. I gave him the approval to perform the brake pad change as well.
They made several estimates on how long the car would take to be completed — all of which were wrong. I waited just over 3 weeks to get the vehicle. When I arrived at the shop I finally met the snarling beast of a woman that handled the front desk. She was even worse in person than on the phone. I arrived at 4:45pm — and let me tell you, that made her really uncomfortable. At least 3 times she mentioned that they close at 5pm. After paying for my vehicle I went outside to turn it on. Once I turned it on the brake light illuminated once again.
This is when I was able to meet the owner. A legitimately bad person. I went inside (as they were closing — oh no!) and told them the brake light was still on. The owner told me they did not have the proper equipment to clear any error messages on those cars — like I said this was a higher end SUV. He told me to take it to another shop to have them clear the messages on the car. I said, well if you don’t have the equipment to fix my car how do I know it was completed? That is when he lost his mind and went into a screaming fit. It was entertaining if it wasn’t so sad.
I turned around and left. I had no energy or mood to argue with a man that clearly makes a living by taking advantage of people. All I could do was call my insurance company and tell them my experience. I ended up going to a shop by my workplace. They were as entertained by the story as anyone. Even more entertaining, they found a couple parts that Cosmetic Auto did not change — from the fender bender. They listed them on the insurance report as parts needed. So probably a dash of insurance fraud in there too. Nonetheless, the new shop cleared the brake error message for free (they actually had the equipment to perform this) and fixed the parts Cosmetic didn’t replace for a nominal charge.
In summation, these are the types of old businesses with an ignorant customer base that keeps them functioning. I hope anyone that reads this message has enough mind to never try this shop for any auto needs.

Really rude and unprofessional. Julie is not helpful and extremely unfriendly for someone in a business that deals with people she has ZERO people and professional skills. In addition, Bill the owner is very unprofessional. DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO THIS REPAIR SHOP.

Bill Senchuck and his crew at Cosmetic Auto are the best. If you need good auto service/​body work and great service, Cosmetic is the place to go. They are fair, can be trusted, and go out of their way to do the best they can for their customers. Really know the ins and outs of the insurance end of things which can be really helpful.

When my brand new car had 50 miles on it, I managed to back into a mailbox and dented my mini-van’s rear side. Cosmetic Auto did a job that I would qualify as perfect. If perfect is good enough for you, then this is the place to go. I got a quote right after it happened, but I did not have time to get it fixed for several months. When I finally had time to fix the problem, I called a few other places in the area to compare. Cosmetic Auto beat them all, although the other businesses only had a picture to look at, not the actual car.
I have to say, if I ever need help again, it would be with Cosmetic Auto. They fixed my car, cleaned the front passenger floor area and left me a tin of tasty cookies on the passenger seat! Way to go!!! They are really customer satisfaction oriented and do great work.
As much as I like them, I hope I do not have to see them soon, but it’s good to know they are there if I need them.

Bill and his staff are incredibly caring and helpful. They replaced a dog-​chewed seatbelt and a broken lift gate latch on my car for a great price, and they were a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them!

I love the quality of this shop, I had the pleasure of working for both of there shops as a painter 2005 and 2006, loved working there because it was a great quality shop no butcher work, Mike Nitty and Bill made sure of that, John the owner a great guy too, also Jesse at the suburban shop, I had to leave due to personal medical issue. Wish I was still there, I recommend getting your car done here the right way. great staff at both shops.

Sadly, there are only five stars allowed to rate this company. I give it six stars. I’d say their work was perfect, but that would be an understatement. Our car (a 2003 Cadillac) looks brand new after they replaced the passenger’s side rear door and adjacent repairs. I cannot recommend this company highly enough… they are in a league of their own.

My husband took our car here after it grazed our side gate. They did a good, quick job of buffing it out at a great price. Thanks– we’ll continue to come here when needed.

I’ve taken my car (s) to Bill at Cosmetic Auto for the past 3 years and cannot say enough great things about their quality of service, friendliness and ease to work with. I recently had a mishap with the cement post in a parking lot and it left the back passenger door, quarter panel, and bumper pretty badly scraped. I took it to get repaired and when I picked it up 2 days later, it looked like new — the paint matched perfectly and the entire car had been cleaned! They do great work and are such a pleasure to work with, I highly recommend them!

Friendly staff. Took 2 days to replace and paint the rear bumper. Vacuumed the carpet and even had plastic on the drivers seat so it wouldn’t get dirty. Recommended this shop by my insurance and very pleased. You also get a tin of cookies :-)

Exceptional work and service, our Direct repair facility, never disappoints

I’ve never had a bad experience at a body shop, but I’ve never had an experience this good either. Some young thugs decided it would be fun to put a deep scratch down the length of my Dodge Charger. Allstate only gave me one choice in body shops, so I ended up at Cosmetic, and I am so glad I did. When I came in for the estimate, Mike (last name I can’t remember) and I chatted for about a half hour while he did type up the estimate. The guy couldn’t be any nicer. I was supposed to bring the car in on Monday. They said four days, so I told them I needed it on Friday. My plans for a backup car fell through, so I didn’t get my car in until Tuesday. They said they would still try for Friday, and they still made it. On top of the work being done perfectly, the car was cleaner inside and out than it has been in years, and there was a nice tin of cookies waiting for me. If the insurance gives me a choice, this will be the body shop I go to from now on.
The only drawback is their hours are awful. 8 – 5 Monday through Friday. Not very convenient for someone who works 8 – 5 Monday through Friday.

I am surprised to read the mixed reviews for Cosmetic Auto Trim & Glass. I recently took my Jeep Wrangler in for repairs following an accident. I was referred by my insurance company and received a quote in a timely manner. Their follow up was excellent and after scheduling the work to be done, they delivered on their word.
My dealings with Bill and his team were very positive and I was pleasantly surprised to find a thank you card and gift (tin of cookies) in my Jeep when I picked it up. Not many companies these days will go the extra mile to thank you for your business and I would not hesitate to recommend Cosmetic Auto to friends and family.

My family and I have been taking our cars to Cosmetic for years and I have not one complaint. It hadn’t occurred to me to write a review until my husband, who needed work done and looked them up after I raved about them, saw these reviews. Needless to say, I was shocked to see the negative ones.
1) The quality of work has been fantastic. Never a problem. Flawless.
2) The time it took was always reasonable. This time it took them 3.5 days. They were finished ahead of schedule, actually.
3) Their quote was fair, exactly what we thought it would cost.
4) The people working there (including the girls in the front) are always nice and polite.
I would recommend this place in a heartbeat! And they won my hubby over too. They have our loyalty.

Well, the door is being repaired… A different company in Chicago. The damage done by Cos. Auto to the door is disgusting. They really messed things up. It’s so frustrating. So far, it looks like it will cost my family over $ 2,000 to fix something that we paid Cosmetic Auto to fix. I wonder what recourse we have?

Before the holidays, some shmuck pulled a U turn right in front of me, requiring Cosmetic Auto’s assistance. At first they said 2 weeks (it’s always 2 weeks for any repair on anything, right?), which of course lead into a skosh over a month. No biggie, was set up with Enterprise in a nice ride for the duration. It’s on the shmuck’s insurance’s (which was great by the way!) dime anyways. Anyhoo, finally got word it was done, and it looked as if nothing happened at all. Everything was perfect! A week went by and noticed a couple little things needed another look at. Called them and they said to bring it on in, it will be looked at right away merely 5 minutes after we spoke. I was in an out of there within 30 minutes, with everything fixed along with a great talk with the owner Mike. I highly recommend the place. Great service and great work!
