Well there’s good and bad– the good is that this place WAS really awesome, so I will rate it accordingly. The food was great and the staff was friendly.
The BAD– and please note this, they are now CLOSED. I went there for breakfast this morning and there was a sign on the door saying something along the lines of «we have struggled to make this a profitable business and have permanently closed as of ⁹⁄₁₇.»
Sad to hear they went out of business, best of luck to the owners.

I have visited Crêpes à Latte a number of times since they opened. If I was writing this review when they first opened, it would probably be 4 stars. It is still good, but it is not great, and I primarily go now for the convenience (it is right next door to the Irving Park brown line stop).
The food itself is okay to good. I am not a huge fan of their savory crêpes because they are often lacking in flavor and don’t always have the ingredients described in the menu. The last time I had the veggie, it was mostly onion with almost no mushrooms or spinach, and the baked apples and brie was supposed to have spinach in it, but there was none to be found. I have had good luck with the sweet crêpes, however. The vanilla bean is a favorite, though it is also hard to go wrong with nutella banana. And the plain crêpe from the breakfast menu is pretty darn good and is served with your choice of lemon and sugar, maple syrup or fruit preserves.
Seating is plentiful with tables, a counter, a sofa and chairs. When the weather is nice, they also have some outdoor seating in front of the café. Even with all of the various options, it can be hard to find a seat on weekend mornings, but it is never a problem during other times.
I am sad that they have gotten rid of the flatware and replaced it with disposable plastic. I miss actual knifes and forks. And I miss actual cups and mugs, as opposed to the disposable ones they now use, even for those of us not getting our orders to go.

If you’re in North Center near the Damen stop, this is a great place to grab a bite or relax your feet.
Crepes are delicious, and filling — a savory crêpe is a lot of food for one person; we opted to split one.
Pros: Free ipod/​iphone charging, free wifi, stroller-​friendly seating, quirky and playful décor, and free birthday dessert crepes.
Con: The pink lemonade. I’m not sure what it was… but it wasn’t pink lemonade.

Oouhh… I was immediately attracted to their gorgeous European interior designs. They have a cute coffee fixing booth (see picture posted) and a little replica fireplace. It reminded me very much of my own Europe experience, where I saw many old pretty lamps and clock towers when walking down a crowded street in a French town. Though the layout here is a little more modern, I think their choice of vibrant colors gives this place a little more upbeat feel to it. Plus, they also offer free wifi. That means I can enjoy a cup of coffee and a meal awhile longer while embracing the foreign like atmosphere. Lol! It’s my first visit here and I’m quite satisfied with the friendly servers and fast service. I took the chance of trying their egg, ham and cheese crêpe and was very pleased with the overall taste. I’d definitely return to try their Chicken Peanut satay and Smoked Turkey. Bön Appetit!

3.5 stars because i think my personality is just to cynical for this place. the environment is bright and cheerful and just thinking about it makes me a little uncomfortable. i loved it and had a great time when i went, it’s just not the type of place i could hangout at. it is perfect for a family gathering or a day date though. the décor is supes cutes.
crepes are good. nothing crazy though. but to be honest i’ve never actually ever been blown away by crepes. my steez is not parisian enough maybe.
my friend got a peanut butter nutella shake and that was amazing.
and they have iphone chargers lining the counter seating! so cool.

We tried this place for a nice brunch sampling both sweet (Nutella banana) and savory (Ham, cheese, mushroom, onion) crepes. Really tasty, but I have since been able to imitate both of these flavor creations at home. The coffee was good as well. Both coffee and crepes took a while to come out though. Longer than one would expect for such an easy dish
The place was clean and well kept, but getting a table was hard on the weekend!

If I could, I’d bump the rating up to 3.5. Super-​cute place, friendly service, okay food.
The design mimics a traditional French café, giving an excellent first impression to customers. There is a fireplace at the east end of the space, with a couple of comfy chairs in front. The other chairs aren’t quite as comfy, but hey, that’s a high standard to match. My friend the Celtic Lady and I sat for almost two hours, and I don’t think either one of us went one with strange impressions on our backsides from bad chairs. (Well, I didn’t, but I must admit, I did not call her afterward to ask if she’d looked carefully at her ass later in the day).
You stand at a counter to order, and someone brings your food to the table. The coffee, you take with when you order. The menu is not huge, but I think it is the right size for this small-​ish place. It does have several crêpe selections under Breakfast, Savory, and Sweet, so everyone except maybe Anthony Bourdain should find something agreeable to eat.
If you get in before 9am on a weekday, apparently you get a discount on the coffee. I had a latte, and the Celtic Lady had black coffee. She said she likes Metropolis Coffee better, but I noticed she drank all that she had here, and went back to get more. So did I, by the way.
The Celtic Lady ordered an orange scone, and I had a vegetarian crêpe — not the one with the hollandaise sauce, but a savory crêpe. She wasn’t crazy about her scone; she remarked that Americans typically like a more dense type of scone than the type you get in England, which, apparently, are lighter. I took a taste, and I thought it tasted just fine, but it was a heavier type of scone. It wasn’t hockey puck type, it was definitely good. For me, a hardcore American, it was just fine.
My crêpe was good. Just good. I did eat the whole thing. The crêpe itself was the highlight. It was very light and perfectly cooked. I thought the vegetarian filling was only okay. I noticed the mushrooms looked exactly like the mushrooms in a jar I have occasionally purchased when I only needed a few to cook with. It was okay, but there was no mushroom, earthy flavor.
The crêpe came with a pasta salad. It looked light and crispy and had absolutely no flavor. No lie. It had no taste. I took two bites and said, forget it. And for me to forsake pasta.. . well, that just doesn’t happen, ever.
The rolled silverware on each table is plastic. Really. Is it really such a cost savings to use plastic instead of real metal? I even saw a guy sitting alongside the window, rolling the plastic utensils into napkins. You bus your own plates, cups, and plastic into individual tubs, so I am guessing they wash and reuse the plastic. But why?
Signs say they have free wi-​fi. I didn’t attempt to use it while we were there, so I will assume that it works and it is free.
There were only a few people hanging out there while we were there. Frankly, I think this place deserves a lot more business. I work at home on certain days and sometimes head out for a local café or coffeehouse to hang out with other people who won’t bother me much while I drink too much coffee and use the free Internet connection. Crepes A Latte is definitely on my radar for a midday break from the four walls of home. You should come, too.

Really cool little place next to the brown line station on Irving Park. Service is pretty fast and the food is very tasty. I’m partial to the ham and Swiss crêpe but skip the honey mustard. It’s just too sweet to be drizzled on a savory crêpe. Coffee is good too.
I will be stopping here often for a quick breakfast.

I went to see my therapist yesterday and she noted I was spacey, moody, and cold even though I broke out sweating intermittently. She probably thinks I do heroin now, and that’s ok because I’m way too ashamed to admit what’s really wrong. I am addicted to Crêpes à Latte crêpes.
Every single time I come here, I order the sweet apple crêpe. It tastes just like apple pie a la mode but with a more pleasant consistency. The apples come like I like my women; medium sized chunks, no skin with a little crunch to them.
The Bananas Foster was amazing. Sweet but not too sweet and the whole thing didn’t explode when I cut into it. I’m not even a banana lover and I would definitely order this again.
The savory crepes are ok, nothing to write home about. The ham is lunch meat quality and over-​salted but it’s not terrible.
The quiche is cute and yummy but if you’re gonna go to a creperie, order a damn crêpe.

Bought. A groupon for this lovely place because it is close to home. I will absolutely come back. My southwest clcrepe was really filling and tasty. Cappuccino was good too. Would have prefered it in an actual cappuccino mug but that is just being snobby about coffee. They were great about delaying part of the order too because I wanted it to go after I stayed to eat.
Good service and nice ambiance. I will definitely come back.

Went here on a Sunday morning with a Groupon. I think it was an excellent deal.
We got an egg and veggie breakfast crêpe (my friend really enjoyed it) and a savory apple, brie and walnut crêpe (pretty darn good). Also got two cold coffee drinks for a grand total of $ 7 (thanks Groupon!)
It’s right beside the Irving Park brown line stop and is super cute inside. There’s plenty of seating, so no wait, which is always great for Sunday brunch. There are also a couple tables on the patio. I’m sure I’ll be back!

Grabbed crepes to go and ate them while waiting in line at Martyr’s to get into The Moth. I had the roasted red pepper/​mushroom/​goat cheese one, which was very good. Pal had the apples and brie, also excellent. Quick, fresh, inexpensive and delicious.
Great décor, yummy menu, lots of vegetarian selections, chai tea latte was also fab. I’d go back again in a heartbeat.

This welcoming café has a fun and colorful atmosphere that will cheer your spirit and make your day. The owners and their designer have put in some unexpected touches that excite visually and appeal to your comfort needs. And for those toting their laptops or smart phones, the technology is subtly all around you. All that you want in a coffee shop menu is there; coffees, espressos, teas, and chilled variations. They also offer hot chocolate and steamers. For cold beverages, they offer frappés, smoothies, and milkshakes in tempting varieties.
What you won’t find in most coffee shops are the freshly prepared crépes offered here. Their crépes are grouped into two categories: one for breakfast tastes and «savory,» which will appeal for those in for lunch or an evening nosh. There are also the dessert crépes for the sweet tooth and quiches as a lighter way to have your eggs.
Because the one large room is mostly hard surfaces, when it gets filled up with people chatting, it can get a bit noisy. If you are planning a quiet meeting, you might call and ask when the best times for that might be. Usually unoccupied is the one loveseat in front of the fireplace. A nice homey touch. Even on a gloomy winter day, the room seemed sunny and joyful. A good way to start a day!

A quirky crepes and coffee shop is a cute addition to the Irving Park Brown line stop. Hurray for that, on to the actual review.
When I first opened the door, I was greeted by the folks at the counter. Ordered 2 crepes because of a groupon I wanted to use up. One was the breakfast egg and veggie crêpe and the other a dessert. The breakfast crêpe had beautifully combined the delicious caramelized onions, mushrooms and scrambled eggs inside. It was a good amount of food, but not to feel overly stuffed in one session, I asked the guys if they could bring me my second crêpe at a later time.
Dessert crêpe time: the caramel and chocolate pretzel. Theoretically, it would have made a great crêpe with the sweet and salty combo, but the crumbled pretzels were a bit stale to me. A part of me was expecting those skinny, sticks of pretzels, but hey they use fresh whipped cream on the side.
Best part of the visit was the staff here. They were very accomodating to my groupon order and checked on me multiple times, making sure my free coffee Monday was fulfilled. Beautiful, clean and comfy setting perfect with a book, a friend, a laptop or people watching.

I don’t drink coffee. And by that I mean, I had never tried coffee before. Until tonight.
Crepes a Latte, you now hold a special place in my heart. You were my first… and ever so gentle, might I add. I had the toasted marshmallow latte. Delish! You might expect it to be ridiculously sweet, but it wasn’t. The taste of the marshmallow top went perfectly with the taste of the latte. I didn’t try a crêpe, but boy did they look good.
The décor here is adorable and the staff is friendly. I’m glad I saved myself for this place, instead of giving into the temptation of Starbucks and other chain coffee shops first. I’d definitely come back.

In celebration of the one month anniversary of my birthday, I came here.
Ok, that’s not exactly accurate; I met a friend here, it was birthday-​related, but it was a fluke that it was exactly 1 month after my birthday. I don’t celebrate little milestones like that… but if you wanted to shower me with gifts or meals monthly, I wouldn’t say no.
The space is colorful and cutesy; not reminiscent of a French café, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. As a café they can pull off bright colors, ones that would make a home look tacky and garish. I saw little signs about complimentary iPhone chargers, I assume you have to ask for them because we didn’t see any out. My only décor-​related complaint is the outdoor patio furniture; I assume with the lightpost and wrought iron furniture, they are going for an outdoor café feel. I’m willing to suffer waffle prints on my ass for the privilege of sitting outside and enjoying warm Chicago weather, I’m not as keen on waffle prints when I’m sitting indoors.
Normally, I feel obligated to choose between a sweet or savory crêpe, but when dining à deux I don’t have to choose. For my meal, I ordered the apple and brie crêpe. In addition to generous amounts of apples and brie, spinach and onions adorned my crêpe. I liked my crêpe, but craved more tart flavor from the apple; I think the savory ingredients overpowered the tartness of the apple. The actual crêpe was great too, nice and soft, not crispy and crunchy like one I recently had at La Creperie.
For dessert we split the crêpe with strawberry and chocolate. It came with a nice little poof of whipped cream that looked homemade. The crêpe was really delish, truth be told I could’ve eaten the whole thing in addition to my savory crêpe.
I’m not sure if crepes are becoming the new cupcake — there seem to be creperies popping up more and more — but I’d put this on my list of places to return.
TIP: Jokers are wild. If the playing card they give you when you order is a joker, you get a free meal up to $ 10!

Ok, I honestly have been to this place 3 consective Tuesdays this past October into yesterday.
So do i like it? UH… YEAH!
First time there, had the veggie crêpe that was good and savory although my sister in law tempted me when I saw her ooey gooey carmelly plate of bananas foster crepes.
So I ordered a different one the next week, did I order the bananas foster? Yes it was amazing. Delicious and just damn good.
Finally, yesterday I almost ordered the baked apple with Brie but caved into the bananas foster again.
The coffee is good, the green tea with goji berry is delightful, the service is friendly, and the kicker is:
if you eat in the café, you get to pick from a taylored deck of playing cards which will determine your order number. If you draw the jack, your crêpe is free. Hope that made sense guys.

Welcome to a whimsical world where Dr. Seuss and Charlie & The Chocolate Factory converge into a Creperie. Conveniently located next to the Irving Park Brown Line stop, this place makes a perfect café ambiance for studying, conversing, or snacking. You can’t help but to be drawn into the colorful fairytale created by the European-​esque street which dominates the interior, globular chandeliers, and endless lines and curves which surrounds you.
After making your decision on which crêpe (or quiche) to eat, you order at the counter and receive a playing card representing your placed order. You’re unknowingly playing a game of chance because if you get the Joker card, your order (up to $ 10) is free! While you wait you can either take advantage of their free WiFi and/​or iPhone chargers along the counter, or watch them make your crêpe on a hot plate. I recommend the Chicken Peanut Satay Crêpe (everything you love about Thai food in a crêpe), or the simple Nutella Banana Crêpe. I did once get the Greek ‘n Granola Crêpe to-​go which was a horrible idea because the Greek yogurt soaked in to the crêpe and became chewy – Ew! I was pleased to find that their plasticware is Greenware made from plants. :)
CaL sells their own loose leaf teas to drink or take home with you. As a tea drinker myself, I strongly recommend the Gojiberry-​Pomegrante-​Blueberry Green tea served both hot and cold. It’s not bitter like many other fruity teas. If you’re in the mood for a frappé, smoothie or milkshake, they got that too. No matter what, CaL has all the works to fit your coffee and tea palate at a counter (honey, sugars galore, cinnamon, powdered chocolate, straws, stirrers, etc). Oh and not to mention they use Bonne Maman preserves and jelly in their crepes – all jars for purchase too.
No matter the time or day, you can always make space for a sweet or savory crêpe. No Crepes a Latte, Thanks a Latte!
