Kendra is just amazing! I couldn’t be happier with my experience or the beautiful piece she did on my calf. It’s a beautiful floral design, intricate and delicate. After, she sprinkled glitter over it and I got to sparkle the rest if the day. She explained too how to care for the henna so the color and design would last. It looks beautiful and I plan to visit her again.

I want to start by saying Kendra’s skill set in unparalleled! We hired her for our daughters birthday party. We were quoted a 2 hour minimum & a trip charge since my home was about 25miles from her… not a problem, we agreed & were excited for her arrival. All of the children getting Henna art were between the ages of 11 – 14, with the exception of two 6 year olds. I loved that her products were all natural which is important to me. Unfortunately, I kept having parents & some kids come to tell me how rude she was when they were asking questions about dry time, etc. I get it, getting the same questions asked over & over can get frustrating, but this was a family party, everyone was polite & listened to her instructions. I didn’t want to pass judgment so I decided to sit for art myself. Again, amazed by her skill, but her etiquette was rude. I was extremely accommodating to her, overlooked her arriving 35 m late (rain +traffic) provided the blow dryer for dry time, extension cord for her table light, provided a secluded work space etc. In my personal opinion I would only recommend Kendra for adults, which is a shame because every child’s parents at the party wanted to book her for future parties until they had dialogue with her. Great skill, just not a positive experience for us.

Kendra is an amazing henna artist! I’ve been seeing her for a couple years and she’s really opened my eyes to the world of henna — it’s history, therapeutic benefits and different styles from every corner of the world. She not only teaches but also makes her own henna (so you know what’s in it!). I really enjoy my visits with her and love wearing her beautiful artwork around.

Kendra is always incredible. I’ve never seen her do a less than gorgeous job. She can do something specific or give her artistic freedom and she will not disappoint. She will travel to where you are and make any occasion more festive. She’s a lot of fun!

Best henna in the city hands down. The lines and intricacies of Kendra’s work far surpass any henna artist I’ve had work from, and I’ve had my share of henna. Note that just because a person is Indian doesn’t mean the henna is good! I had some henna done that I thought was nice until I got henna done from Kendra. I couldn’t believe I paid so much for a very poorly executed design! Kendra is a true artist and makes her own paste that is free of the chemicals most pre-​made pastes contain. She educates you about the origins of henna and what to look out for with janky paste formulations. Professional, quirky, and fun, Kendra is who you want to see for beautiful high-​quality henna art.

Kendra is one of the best Henna artists in The Midwest. Her skill is unparalleled to any other artist I have met and her accuracy is impeccable. She not only does an amazing job but also makes the effort to inform her customers about black henna. If you are looking for a talented artist with a beyond reasonable rate make sure to give her a call. I just booked her for a girl’s night out and hope to have her do a neighborhood block party next summer!

I met Kendra a couple of years ago and when I found out that she did Henna I just knew I had to get one. I was NOT disappointed! I got a wonderful design that she did freehand, right off the top of her head and not out of any book! I was even complimented, by many people, on how great it looked! Since then, I have gotten numerous Henna Tattoos from her, threw a henna party at my house, and have recommended her to friends and family! She is personable and professional and does outstanding work!!! Definitely worth more than 5 stars!!!

I’ve been very interested in getting henna for a while now, but never really went out of my way to do so. When i saw her henna booth at the Edgewater art fair this past week, I sprung for the opportunity. On both of my wrists i have unfinished tattoos that I’ve been meaning to get outlined in fire and water. I looked through some of her example designs (she’s mostly exhibiting other people’s work with her design books rather than her own…) and found a design that seemed suitable as an outlining aura for the tattoos. I explained to her that I had been thinking of finishing the tattoos with some sort of tribal-​styled fire, and that the design in the book would be a perfect henna-​styled alternative if she could do some very simple and minute tweaking. She said she could do it FOR 40 $!!!, and sounded very short to the point and in-​personable. we agreed on 30 $, seeing as my tattoos are only about 3 inches each. (that’s still pretty pricy for some simple henna, but i agreed seeing as she had the extra expense of the booth)
Within a minute of her starting the henna on my skin, I had to stop her because she was doing what i would describe as a «child-​like» fire design. I stopped her and said that wasn’t at all what we had discussed seconds earlier, and she got defensive and copped an attitude, saying «well you said you wanted fire…» If she had been less impatient and a little more personable, she would have easily understood what i was saying. I went back to her example book and explained to her again what I had meant. She then proceeded to hurriedly copy the portion of the design I had pointed out, without adding 1% of her own artistic touch (may i remind you, she was promoting another woman’s henna). Within 5 minutes she said she was done, though I wasn’t nearly satisfied. When i asked her to add some very simple touches to fill some blank spaces, such as some dots and pointy flares, she again got an attitude and shook her head at me, while muttering something under her breath. After hastily finishing in about 30 more seconds, she said she was done, and gave me a look that basically said «…wether you like it or not…»
I was very disappointed with this woman’s attitude and artistic ability. In my mind, someone who supposedly «specializes» in such a divine art-​form should mirror that with an elevated, and admirable personality. In my opinion, if you are looking for beautiful henna from an authentic artist, go to one of the numerous artists on devon avenue in rogers park. That’s definitely what I’ll be doing next time…

Fantastic and beautiful henna designs! Extremely detailed in various styles and incredibly nice right in your living room! Highly recommended! The awesome pictures on her website are accurate; she is that good!
