Available for changing or removing rug fringe and fixing damaged area rugs. Colored fringe application available for rugs, as well as lamps, windows shades and pillows. Experience of a big time area rug retailer at a small company cost. Our services do not include work on tacked-​down wall to wall carpet, but can refer you to someone who can.

History

Established in 2004.

I worked in the oriental rug industry for close to 20 years and have gained a lot of experience in that time. When the company I was with decided to make a location move far North, I decided to take my experience and create my own small home-​based business. I listened to customers over those 20 years and their biggest complaint about their floor coverings was how quickly and easily the rug fringe becomes dirty or frayed and how they wish hey could do something about it. So there you have Custom Colored Fringe, Inc. where we can change the rug fringe or remove it completely. Of course, some rugs would depreciate with this work, so you can rely on us to ensure we would perform the work with your investment in mind.

I moved to Chicago over 20 years ago and immediately went to work in the handmade area rug business and have been there ever since! I gained a lot of experience working for one of the top retail stores in the Midwest in the oriental rug industry, including selling, repair and customer service. I brought those years of experience into my own home-​based business. I would be happy to come to your home, take a look at your rug (s) and see what we can do about making them look better. I can provide the big retailer type results for a great deal less. (Due to City of Chicago regulations, dropping off of customer goods is unavailable.)

In addition, I am a proud member of the Better Business Bureau’s Accredited Businesses and believe in honesty and good work at a reasonable cost to consumers.
