History

Established in 2000.

CCRC was originally established in 2000 and was the first specialized motorcycle transport company to be legally licensed by the ICC in Illinois. In 2014 CCRC was reorganized and not only were new ICC numbers issued but also USDOT numbers were aquired as the growing demand to legally transport motorcycles across state lines. No other specialized transports retain these credentials. We carry the highest level of insurance in the industry to protect our customers.

Motorcycle rider since 1983. Joined the military, now retired as a CID officer. Owned and operated American Classic and Custom Cycles as a certified mechanic specializing in all aspects of restoration and custom modification. Now with a disability from the military no longer build bikes. Continued to transport our customers and now owner of CCRC and ACAC biker jewelry and apparel.

Todd is a true professional with heart. He helped me with my triumph in towing to the shop and then to my place. Super reasonable pricing and he will give some great advice if asked. Hopefully I won’t need a tow for my bike again, but if I do he is the only one I’ll call.

Custom cycle rescue really did come to the rescue. Todd took care of us on price. Buddy’s bike had electrical problems on our road trip and Todd drove down to Indiana to get the bike and bring it down to a service shop. If you’re ever in need of rescue and you’re near the Chicago area. This is the only guy you need to call. He takes of his customers and won’t screw you on price. Thanks Todd!

Todd picked up my scooter after an accident and drove it to the shop 6 miles for a great price. Then when they told me it was wrecked, he was awesome enough to bring it back to my place 6 miles back for only a few bucks more. Really great guy, good communication, and extremely helpful and personable. Thanks so much for the help. Too bad it wasn’t under better circumstances.

Excellent service, they worked me in to their already busy schedule when I was in a real jam. Very personable, professional and took as good of care of my Ruckus as they would with a top of the line bike using their excellent equipment. They will do anything they can to accommodate you on things like transferring keys and passing along repair information to the delivery point.
In short, I never needed a bike tow, they came highly recommended and made a very bad day a little better.

You can definitely count on Custom Cycle Rescue Chicago to be there when you need them!
I was out late one night and I had spent over an hour trying to get my motorcycle to start. It was already almost 2AM and spent what seemed like forever calling almost every «24 hour» tow service company in town and no one would answer, call-​back or were willing to assist me; that is until I contacted Custom Cycle Rescue Chicago.
A man by the name of Todd answered the phone and not only on his way to where I was stranded but he also walked me through some suggestions on getting the motorcycle started. During his commute out to assist me I ended up getting the bike to start on my own just as he was arriving. Appears the previous owner of the motorcycle prior to me purchasing put a new battery on the bike and didn’t ground properly.
Although I did not have to use the tow service, Todd offered to follow me home to make sure I arrived with no further issues during my commute.
Todd went above and beyond any customer service I have ever experienced. Thank you so much for your assistance!
I wouldn’t choose or recommend anyone but Custom Cycle Rescue Chicago.

Had a great experience with Todd & CCRC. I was stuck in a pinch and needed to get to the repair shop that day. He got me to the repair shop within an hour of me calling and even waited around while I dealt with the repair shop so he could give me ride back to my apartment instead of me having to grab a cab, considering he was heading back that direction. Very professional and had all the insurance coverage for peace of mind during transport. Thanks again Todd for going out of your way and the great service!

My custom Harley broke a clutch cable, stranded on a raining Friday night. In the past I have used other services and waited 3 – 4 hours for a flat bed tow. i called Custom Cycle Rescue and within ½ an hour Todd and his rig were loading my bike. Talking to Todd, I found out he is a biker, he know how to strap these expensive bikes down, taking into consideration shock compression, clearance of body parts ect. Over the years I have had my share of flat bed tows, I have never met anyone with his expertise. I was loaded and on my way 35 mins from when I made the call. When you have a 65K bike stranded, you dont want just anyone putting your baby on a truck. I cant say enough about the service I received from Todd and Custom Cycle Rescue. Thanks again!

I’ve used Todd a few times. The first time he help get my bike out of a basement and the second time I called him at near midnight and he was to my rescue in about 30mins.

Clearly CCRC stands out ABOVE the rest of towing services. My 1997 Goldwing with 109 234 miles died out on Round lake sunday, some 15 miles from home. As a repeat customer I still had the number. I called into CCRC and spoke to SGT explaining I need a pickup. Under one hour (from his location in Skokie) he arrived.
His towing knowledge, bike handling and securing it to his platform stands out. Not only is he FULLY licensed, insured but holds numerous certifications, and works closely with Harley Davidson, BBB, and other sponsors.
So if it has two wheels or more, from a trike, a spider, Honda, Harley to a scooter

I’ve used Custom Cycle Rescue twice now and each time they were fantastic. My Honda Nighthawk 250 got knocked over and the handlebars were so damaged I couldn’t ride it. I set up an appointment a couple days ahead of time and they arrived early, took photos and recorded all damage, wrote me up a receipt for my insurance company, and even gave me a ride to the repair shop. He gave me a lot of helpful tips along the way and even told me how much the repairs should probably run, just so I had a frame of reference.
When the repairs were finished I needed someone to pick the bike up for me (I had to work every day the shop was open). I called the same day and not only did they pick up my bike and deliver it within a few hours, they also checked over the repairs, made sure the bike was running properly and delivered my receipt from the repair shop.
Stellar service at a really reasonable price. If I ever need a tow in the future, they’ll be my first call.
