History

Established in 1993.

Dancetrax Mobile DJ Entertainment was established back in 1977 by Mario Arcari, a local band leader and vocalist, Discorama/​Dancetrax as it was known back then was already ahead of its time developing and incorporating techniques that are still being used by most Mobile DJs today. (i.e. intelligent lighting, fog machines and theme parties) In 1993, Mario’s son Todd Arcari took over the business (a budding actor and musician in his own right) and brought to it charisma, style and sophistication that Dancetrax is now known for. To this day, Dancetrax has remained a pioneer in the Mobile DJ industry and continues to adapt to the ever changing face of Mobile DJ technologies and clients who demand only the highest level of service for their event.

Business Owner

Todd Arcari has over 15 years of Mobile DJ experience. Since the age of sixteen, the Chicago native has lived for the weekends spinning records at parties. Starting back in high school, Todd honed his skills by working all kinds of parties and events and even dabbled a little in acting and modeling. Around 1992, Todd started to concentrate on building up Dancetrax and perfecting his skills as a Mobile DJ. Todd’s specialty is Weddings. «I love doing weddings! It’s the biggest rush to see the Bride & Groom dancing and having the time of their lives with all of their guests». Todd wanted to take Mobile DJ business one step further and develop a new style that was different from what everybody else was doing. Todd designed a lounge style Mobile DJ set-​up. This consisted of a black façade that wrapped around all of the equipment Todd continues to improve his skills and challenge himself as a Chicago Mobile DJ and he is always looking for ways to «out do» the party before.
