De Noche Mexicana

My boyfriend showed me this place since we both love Mexican food. Definitely worth coming here at least once. The food was great, the staff was friendly and the drinks aren’t bad either.
This place is good for dates, romantic or casual dining, or just something to enjoy by yourself. I had the shrimp and goat cheese tacos my boyfriend had the chicken taco salad (a salad inside a hard tortilla shell– OMG!) Both dishes were savory and different than what i’ve seen before. Mild too, so in case you’re worried things might get spicy — don’t, you control the heat!
Overall recommend this for both foodies or casual munchers. There’s something for everyone here, and did I mention how delicious it is?

Love D’noche but I have to keep it real. Delivery is not worth if. Always eat in.
I paid $ 5 for 5 little pieces of Maduros and the sour cream was in the box so it became hot and watery.

Was in here for Brunch yesterday and have been coming here for years when they only had the neighboring (Café con leche). Solid place for delicious brunch items, they have one of the best caldo de res (Beef, vegetable soup) and the Café con leche is REALLY good ! (add a shot of Kahlua for fun: P
Despite them adding the extra room next door its still relatively small for the amount of business they have. I think its time they make a move into a larger location.
Only problem I have is my girl and I ordered chilaquiles to share and its normally scrambled together and for some reason here they serve it separately (scrambled eggs next to scrambled chilaquiles with a side of 2 whole pieces of pounded chicken? HUH? I brought it up to our server thinking there had been a mistake but he informed me that’s how they served it.

In all fairness, it’s been a while since I’ve visited but I am just starting to write reviews and I had to tell people about this joint. The only reason it has 4 stars instead of five is because it is a little cramped; comfortable, but cramped. On the up side, there is a free parking lot in the back!
Service: I have nothing to complain about, Our server every time that I have been here has been friendly, prompt, and polite. They know how to take care of people here.
Price: You won’t break the bank here. You can have a really nice time out if you’re on a budget. I spent maybe $ 30 with food, liquor and tip.
Atmosphere: Like I said, a little cramped. However, the bathroom is clean and really pretty, the seats are comfy, the place is kept really well and is really a cool looking place to hang out.
Food: The best part. My first experience with a Jibarito and it was fantastic. I had the pork one and every bite was delicious. I’ve had breakfast and lunch here. Their coffee and their cocktails all deliver great flavor. The first time I went, I had to order some stuff to go because the food was that good!
So in my opinion, this is a joint to hit up anytime of the day. They just need to expand :)

A nicer place to go to in Logan Square. We have been here many times and keep coming back. People we take here love it. Open Table reservations, so be sure to get those points. I’ve ordered several things and everything is delicious. Love the burrito, the jibarito sandwiches, the enchiladas, and the chimichurri steak. The drinks are different and at a good price point too. Super quick service. Nicer upscale Mexican food? Always a winner. Enjoy!

I absolutely recommend this place! I come here over and over again, leaving with the same impression I did when I first went. «Damn that was good» totally recommend. 5 stars from me.

Good food, cocktails, and atmosphere. We started with margaritas and guacamole and all were delicious! The menu had a large selection and everything sounded yum! Will definitely be back to try some other things on the menu, the service was good and quick too!

OK I was really excited to go here because reviews were great and food looked good. I was disappointed I am Puerto Rican so I may have expected something amazing that I didn’t get. My boo and I went for dinner I ordered chuletas and my boo ordered a steak dish came with onion rings and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were hard almost like they been sitting out or something not creamy or fresh. The steak was just OK didn’t have a lot of flavor to it for 21 bucks. My chuletas were very good seasoned well and juicy I just felt the dish itself was a little dry like I needed a gravy or sauce. Chips and dip wasn’t good at all and the two drinks we had were good but there was little to no alcohol in them. For the price of the food I just felt it wasn’t worth it. I probably wouldn’t return.

So tonight I came with a few friends. i gave it another chance after I came 10 months ago. I had just tostones and my hot chocolate. JOY WAS AWESOME!!! She change my whole point of view. Her service was awesome and very detailed. I will continue to come here. They need more people like joy. I will only dine if she is there.

I was scrambling to find a Friday night table in Logan Square with family in town and D’Noche saved the day! Large, reasonably priced menu with choices for vegetarians and meat-​eaters alike. I enjoyed my black bean tamales and of course chips and guaz. My Dad loved his Chile Rellenos. The margaritas were fine but nothing special, and the service was fast and friendly. Cozy, unique space. Quality neighborhood option.

Food is awesome and the service was phenomenal! Was there with a group of friends and we always start of with the yica fries and the empanadas… can’t go wrong with either dish. The waitress recommended the «Pollo campestre» and the «Salmon a la española» which my friends ordered. I ordered the chiles rellenos and I had nothing but praise for them. The order had 2 chiles along with white rice, black beans, and salad. I cleaned up that plate!!!
My personal favorite drink is the «Oaxaquita» Margarita which has mezcal and has chili powder in it. The rim has chili and salt which is different but is perfect for this drink. I always end the night with their café con leche and some sort of postre. Last time we had coconut flan and it was delicious! Can’t wait to go back and try other dishes and of course more café con leche!

After finding out that the wait at 90 miles would be two and a half hours, we came to d’noche to fulfill our Cuban food needs. After eating our meal, I don’t know why we didn’t choose this place to begin with. It was absolutely delicious without the long wait!
We started with a plate of croquetas and they were PERFECT! The aioli like sauce that it came with was delicious and I poured the remainder of it onto everything else I ate. So yummy!
I ordered the taco salad with ground beef and it was everything I could’ve wanted. I love a good taco salad in a crispy tortilla shell and that’s exactly what this was. The flavors were perfect and it did not disappoint.
Others at my table ordered the chuletas and the Cubano sandwich. The tortas at this restaurant look amazing so I’d definitely suggest them. If you’re looking for something heartier, however, I’d suggest the plated entrees like the chuletas! So many great options and delicious quality Cuban food!

After a few visits to Café con Leche for brunch and lunch, we finally made it to D’Noche to experience their dinner offering. The atmosphere on the back patio can not be beat. Beautifully lit, away from the busy street of Milwaukee Ave, and next to the back patio of Parts & Labor (to add some liveliness). Plus they have free parking to boot. That said, the dinner items were not as amazing (or as good of a value) as the daytime options. They do still offer a number of items from the Café con Leche menu at dinner time (sandwiches, tacos, etc.) but we tried their dinner entrees.
My husband tried the carne con chimichurri but was not super impressed. The cut of skirt steak was not the best and the flavor was mediocre. In fact, he wasn’t able to eat parts of it because it was too chewy, which is hard to do with skirt steak. The yuca fries were pretty delicious though and plentiful.
I went with the tilapia tacos which were pretty tasty and came with a thousand island dressing type of sauce that was odd but paired well. The tacos were good (and huge — I wasn’t able to finish all 3) but they were not unique.
Both items were a bit overpriced for the average quality of the dishes. But the atmosphere is great. Service was excellent and they happily accommodated our newborn and his stroller without complaint.
We will definitely be back… but during the day when it’s Café Con Leche.

Food is great, the menu offers various Latin American dishes that everyone can decide on. Service is friendly and attentive.
Only downside is that the food is a little pricey for what it is.
The ambience is nice and would be a great date night place.

Came here on a whim for a late dinner, and had a pretty good experience. It was beautiful out so we decided to eat out in the back patio. The atmosphere was nice with the lights, and it was really comfortable. I thought the service was fine though they did mess up with our check, but all in all, I left full and happy.
I got the pollo campestre and the boyfriend got tacos. The chicken really hit the spot for me. There was so much flavor and it all complimented each other so well with the pineapple, spinach, and chipotle sauce. The yuca fries were a great addition too.
I’ve definitely been to better Latin restaurants, but I would find myself coming here again to try out other dishes.

I love trying Latin American restaurants, but when it comes to D’Noche, I would rather come here for the drinks than the food. I’ve had the jibarito, and it was just ‘okay.’ You can definitely get something better and more authentic at Borinquen in Humboldt Park. The last time I was here I had a chicken dish, which was more yuca than anything else! Again, it was good but nothing that would keep me coming back. (Looked way better than it tasted.) The drinks, however, are really good. Their mango mojito never disappoints and their mezcal is great too.
It’s convenient if your looking for a date spot, because you walk on over the Logan Theatre after dinner.

D’Noche is a nicely decorated restaurant that really delivers a good variety of delicious South and Central American dishes. We were seated as soon as we arrived for our 5:00 PM reservation on a Saturday.
The server was easy-​going and accommodating as we took our time chatting and reviewing the menu. He answered questions and made good recommendations. One of his recommendations was the appetizer sampler which was a great way to try many different things. There was enough for our party of four to try some of everything.
I knew that I wanted the jibarito even before I walked in the door. It did not disappoint. The butter garlic spread was served on the side and I slathered it on the inside of my plantain «bread.» There were generous amounts of lean skirt steak — more than any other jibarito I’ve had. What’s even more incredible about the jibarito from D’Noche is that it didn’t give me heart burn!
M got a steak which was absolutely delicious! I loved the seasoning and how it was cooked. I eagerly gave her my rice and beans in exchange for a few bites of the goodness on her plate.
I chose to drink my calories for dessert. I had their Café con Leche (served piping hot and creamy) and a Café de Olla Martini which was delicious. The two beverages — one hot and one cold — went together really well. I alternated sips and came away feeling completely satisfied. I’ll mention that our friends also had two different desserts and both of them were ah-​mazing!

Oh D’Noche you are D’Yes all the way around!
Our service was sublime, allowing us time to peruse the menu completely. They even came up with ideas for me for non alcoholic fun drinks!
We couldn’t decide on an appetizer so we tried the sampler platter! My faves were the quesadillas and the calamari.
Then I had my very first jibarito, and it was worth the wait. The sandwich was just mouth watering, flavorful and all around completely scrumptious. I couldn’t finish it thanks to the sumptuous appetizers which was my only disappointment of the night.
I finished up a wonderful evening with a Café con leche and a bit of bread pudding. It was so huge that the whole table couldn’t finish it.
What a wonderful night with great friends Yvonne B and M. I hope we can come back for a second, third and so on repeats!

Ended up here by accident! Was planning on going to Longman and Eagle, but due to a 2 hour wait and freezing temps outside, we decided to find somewhere else in Logan Square. This was for my birthday dinner so we wanted to splurge a little bit.
The menu and reviews looked good, and I saw the 10% off with check-​in, so that was a nice perk. I liked that the place was on the smaller side, allowed for a more intimate setting with the boyfriend. Décor was simple which I think worked because so many Mexican type restaurants go totally off the wall with the colors. It was nice that this was toned down more so you knew it was more on the classy side.
Service was prompt and friendly. The food was absolutely wonderful! The pork belly skewers with plantains were just melt in your mouth delicious. I had the strip steak which was cooked perfectly and while the texture on the bean pudding was a little weird, I loved it! Boyfriend had the steak with onions that was equally as yummy. Drinks were great — I started with sangria and then moved over to margaritas while the boyfriend stuck to caipirinhas.
I was very glad to have a nice low key intimate dinner with my boyfriend. D’Noche was perfect for that!

Me encanta DNoche! I came here with a couple of friends in the late evening, as the name suggests, and had a great experience.
I had the mango mojito and loved every sip of it! It’s quite yummy and better than other mojitos I’ve had. Their empanadas are aaaamazing! They have a garlicky sauce to put on top and some salsa verse and salsa roja on the side. The red sauce is veeeery spicy, so watch out!
I’ve come here before and have had the sangrias (Tuesday’s special), and love those too! Drinks are affordable but the food is a bit pricey. Worth the money though, don’t get me wrong.
