This place is impressive. I got socked with a HUGE increase by the assessor. I hired a professional to file an appeal and got nowhere. My attorney said that there was nothing else we could do.

DIY was fast to file my appeal, saved me a ton of work, and were good communicators. My appeal is still in its second phase, but we did save some money from our first round. We saved just under $ 200/​year for the upcoming three-​year cycle, which adds up to a savings of about $ 430 once we subtract the $ 150 fee for DIY. Our property tax increase is now about 13% vs. the 17.6% it was originally going to go up. I can’t say whether another service would have secured a bigger reduction because I haven’t tried any other services, and I would almost certainly go with DIY again on the basis of this experience.

Although I ultimately did not use their services I would if needed. Erik called me and explained a few things to me concerning my property. He was very thorough in his explanation and I appreciated that. At the end of the day they are not the type of company to just take your money. What’s not to love? This process is so fast and easy, you’ll question why you’d ever hire an attorney to do this for you, especially since attorneys pocket so much more! There are two types of appeals they do for you – one is completely online and they do for you. The other paper appeal process is made easy by their simple instructions – they give you all the comps you need to photograph, a Google map to follow, all the paperwork, and details about how to file. Nothing was left out. I was thinking I would have to set aside a whole afternoon to do this, and it only ended up taking about an hour, including getting my photos printed!
The money-​back guarantee is great as well, but I didn’t need it – we got a judgment in our favor and are saving about $ 600 on our taxes this year! I will definitely do this again next year, and I love that they will send me a reminder email when my area is up for appeal!

Received email on a Tuesday and was filed by Thursday only because I had trouble printing the comp pictures at home. Easy to follow instructions. It will take a few months for the county to process from what I am told so hopefully it will be accepted and savings to follow!

Initial delay on delivery of info, but good follow up to solve problem with email.

I’ve used DIY twice. The first time they helped me adjust the square footage of my house to get the assessed value correct. The second time they helped me use comps to adjust my assessed value. In both instances the outcome was in my favor, was less hassle than using a lawyer, and cost a lot less as well. Fantastic service.

Instead of going the normal Lawyer route to appeal my taxes, I used DIY Property Tax Appeal in 2010 for 2 properties. I was very happy with the end results.
