DJ Wrek

I recently got married and hired DJ Wrek as the official DJ for my wedding at the Hilton Chicago on Michigan Avenue. I can you that he is extremely professional and does an amazingly great job at his craft. I appreciated the fact that he offered a timeline for my wedding with music to support every significant moment. We had a live sit-​down and went over the songs, timeline, and expectations. There was a peace within me and my fiancée that knew that he would do a great job. I had an intense and hectic schedule and so did my fiancée while we were planning, but DJ Wrek was flexible in accommodating our availability. Two days before the wedding, we had a conversation around midnight to wrap up final details. Among all the stress that we faced, the music was the one thing we faced the least amount of stress over because DJ Wrek made it convenient for us to talk and made it better because of his professionalism and preparation. He came prepared with songs and an understanding of what we expected and wanted for our wedding. During the portion of the wedding, the music was on cue for every aspect of our wedding. There was a moment that wasn’t mentioned to him about a dance, but he was able to improvise with the right song choice. I really appreciated it, because it allowed us to keep the wedding fluent and consistent. He was fun, entertaining, and professional. Thank you very much for your service! I hope that you continue to prosper and that many people get to have the same encounter that we had at our wedding at their events as well. Again, thank you!

My company hired DJ Wrek after talking to several people. He was fantastic. I emailed him after reading a few reviews and he got back to me with a quote right away. We hired him for a corporate holiday event at a River North restaurant. He brought all of his own equipment, was super prompt, and very professional.
I shared with him the vibe we were going for at the party (basically start out classy cocktail and read the room to figure out when to amp up the jams.) He did an EXCELLENT job of doing exactly that — as people got more comfortable (which may or may not have matched the increased level of drinking) he increased the volume and played songs that got everyone dancing. He was so good, in fact, our CEO asked to extend the party by another hour.
(I also must note that he was a great sport when a couple of our staff wanted to do a surprise choreographed dance to The Backstreet Boys. Even though it was to The Backstreet Boys AND included a feeble attempt at «the worm» he didn’t bat an eyelash.)
TL;DR DJ Wrek is awesome. You should hire him. We likely will again for our next event.

THE BEST DJ I’VE EVER HIRED! I hired DJ Wrek for my 30^th Bday party in New Orleans. He asked me what kind of vibe and music I wanted and let me send him «must play» songs. The party was a huge success to say the least. He knew how to read the crowd and kept everyone dancing the whole time! He even managed to coordinate with my dad who surprised me with a special song! He truly made the party! I HIGHLY recommend DJ Wreck for your event, wherever it may be!!!

I’ve been fortunate to attend some of DJ Wrek’s nightlife events, and he’s always on point keeping the crowd jamming.
I recently hired him for a community event and he did not disappoint. He was very professional and responsive to all of my questions. He was told that there would be a diverse crowd (ranging from young children to senior citizens, urban students to corporate senior-​level executives) and would have to plan music to accommodate the entire crowd. The only requirement was that the music had to have edited versions. The day of the event, he arrived on time. After unloading his equipment he began the party. He played a diverse mix of music that did not stop. We got great feedback from everyone, staff, community members and other attendees. We are already looking to book DJ Wrek for future events.

Seriously one of the best event DJs I have ever worked with. He was professional from start to finish. He sent a contract promptly, kept communication until the event, and during the event kept excellent communication. I kept getting thrown curve balls throughout the event but Jason remained flexible and polite! I truly appreciated his work.
The dance floor was packed the entire night and no one wanted to stop dancing. Definitely keeping him on my vendor list!

Dj Wrek did more then a awesome job at my wedding in August 2015. Very organized and talented at what he does. If you want someone professional he is the guy to go to. Tons of people complimented me on the music and I had to say that it wasn’t me, it was the guy behind the table. Totally recommend him for any event.

We met Jason at a wedding and he is just great. He really know how to keep your guest dancing. At our wedding he has as expected: fantastic. Our guest had so much fun and danced the night off.
Before our event, he met with us and worked with the type of music we wanted and incorporated awesome suggestions.

DJ Wrek is fabulous! I have thrown many events in the past and worked with dozens of DJs. I really look to DJs to be able to read crowds and use music to create the right ambiance and energy at an event. I hired DJ Wrek to play for an outdoor party I recently hosted and he did a great job. He picked music that was family appropriate but also upbeat and energizing. He was incredibly professional throughout our entire engagement. He was also incredibly committed; he worked for hours straight missing a beat (no pun intended… LOL).

I hired Wrek for my best friends wedding on May 16, 2015 and from the beginning he was as professional as they get. He went above and beyond to make sure that every expectation was met. He had amazing equipment which made the sound impeccable. The bride chose the music for dinner which was the opposite of what Wrek is used to spinning but the moment he was given the green light to freestyle everyone was impressed and enjoying the music. My advice to anyone who hires him for any event, let Wrek freestyle and you will definitely enjoy what he spins. This is not the first time I hire him and once again I wasn’t disappointed.

My overall experience was great. He Dj at my wedding and did an awesome job. I actually didn’t have the songs o wanted but he was a big help at picking something out. So that was great. He’s experienced and he’s a great guy. I would definitely recommend him for any kind of party. But my wedding was great because of him!

DJ Wrek was my DJ for my wedding reception in Dec. 2012 and I still get great comments about him! He was definitely the talk of the night with his great mix of current and classic hip hop and salsa, merengue! Not only was he very professional with his sound system and lighting, but was extremely easy to work with and took requests! I highly recommend Dj Wrek for any special occasion! I hired DJ Wrek a few times for events at my former non profit. Working with him is always a great experience. Because of the nature of the work we do, we were lookig for someone who could DJ and event that both corporate sponsors and community residents would attend. We also wanted really diverse music to represent the many cultures that are present at our events. His music selection is phenomenal and he was really able to customize his work to our needs. He is also very professional and reliable.
In addition to his spinning abilities he is also a masterful educator. We held a youth conference and hired him to create and lead a workshop alled «music and the movement» where he taught 9 to 16 year olds about the role music plays in social
Movements and he actually taught them how to DJ! This was hands down the most popular session at our conference and he really inspired our kids!
