A pleasant experience. Kyle is the type of plumber that you see on a TV home improvement show. He knows everything about everything. He was prompt, and explained everything he was doing. Good, fast, neat and fairly priced.

Dorenbos Plumbing Co has come out to our building a few times and I have been totally pleased every time! They are very knowledgable, very thorough, friendly, and reasonably priced. Plumbing issues can be a total nightmare and make a homeowner feel paniced when things go wrong. Kyle and his team are great at putting your mind at ease and I’ve never had to wait long for them to make a house call, they’ve come within a few hours of my call every time. They are my number one go to for our plumbing needs.

Had these guys out to my house to rod the downstairs toilet. 5 weeks later the pipe was clogged again. They came out with a camera to determine why my pipes were so jammed up. They diagnosed the problem and scheduled a day to come out and put in a new section of 6″ pipe and clean out. They wrapped up in less than a day and under budget. Top notch plumbers and all around nice guys.

I had a 2in PVC vent stack pipe that was cracked in the basement leaking on the floor. Bigger problem was the PVC was supporting cast iron through the rest of the house so it need to be reinforce with cast iron as well. Dornbros called me the morning after I left a message and came out take a look. At first I thought it was a one man job and balked a little 120/​hr for 2 plumbers but in the long run it is the best route to go with these guys… smaller jobs they will do $ 80/​one guy I think… Drew and Kyle were professional, knowledgeable and worked quickly to get the job done. Having both guys allowed for a professional collaboration to go at the issue quickly with the best and cheapest methods.
I have been burned by hourly plumbers before with Power Plumbing and was pleasantly surprised to find there are still honest, affordable guys in the trade that do top notch work.

I had some plumbing that was leaking and i couldn’t find the source. Andrew came over on-​time and removed all my drywall and ultimately helped me find the source of the leak. I thought andrew was knowledgeable and professional. However after doing the demo he never returned my calls or texts and did not come back when he said to actually fix the leak. I waited for a week and ended up calling another plumber to fix it. I was really annoyed but at least i never had to pay him because he didnt bothered to return the calls or finish the job.

Called this company after seeing so many great reviews on Unilocal.I called about a clogged bathroom tub drain. Kyle came out and did a great job of quickly remedying my clogged drain. I was very impressed with their professional attitude and knowledge of work. I will be using them again soon on another plumbing issue I have a different property. The price quoted was very fair and the quote is the amount I paid. Use this

Having used them at work, I called asking if they could come for a clogged tub at home that seemed to be beyond the basic clog remedies. Not only did Andrew give me over the phone advice first, but he quoted me a price over the phone which was what we actually paid to have the job done.
As usual, friendly, professional, efficient and fair. I’d recommend them anytime!

Had Andrew and Kyle come out this AM to route some pipe. They were friendly, knowledgeable, clean, and honest. They arrived early which was a big plus. Rates were fair and are having them come back to install a new water heater next week. Unilocal to the rescue yet again.

I was very impressed with their service. We were having issues with our upstairs toilet flushing, and they came on time, took their shoes off at the door, and were very polite and professional. After the work was done, Andrew explained everything he did clearly. Another issue arose with our sink while they were working on the toilet, and even though it turned out to be unconnected, they still stayed late to fix it and went out of their way to make sure that every problem was solved. I feel like this is a level of care and thoroughness that I don’t see very often, and I almost want to come up with more plumbing projects just to be able to hire such competent and friendly people again!

This is the third time we have used Dorenbos for a job and they are consistently on time, accommodating, fairly priced, and generally the nicest folks you could want to meet: something sadly lacking in a lot of businesses.

I’ve used different plumbing outfits over the years and they all varied in ability, quality and professionalism. I had a laundry tub that was clogged and had a few different plumbers come out to unclog it with various results. Not one of these plumbers was able to keep it unclogged for more than a month. I checked Unilocal*and saw all the positive reviews for Dorenbos Plumbing and decided to give them a try. Bob showed up for the appointment and solved the problem immediatley! It has never clogged again!

Recently I needed their service again as I noticed a black spot on the ceiling of my first floor bathroom over the toilet. The upstairs bathroom is directly above and I thought the worst. I imagined thousands of dollars worth of work with them having to tear through the ceiling and such to make repairs. Kyle and Drew showed up and fixed the problem in under an hour. The toilet upstairs needed a new wax donut seal; that was it!
Like I stated before, I’ve used dozens of plumbers with so-​so results. I’ve never been so pleased with a plumbing company before and I highly recommend Dorenbos for their friendliness, quality of work, and ability to fix a problem and not charge an arm and a leg. If you need to hire a plumber, Dorenbos Plumbing is the company to hire.

Used them 2x so far on 2 separate occasions on an apt building I own for various tasks like installing kitchen sink, fixing leaks in sink, faucets, shower diverter issues etc. They are easy to work with as far as scheduling, nice on the phone and the plumbers are fast and pleasant to deal with. The kind of guys I’d have no issue in the future leaving them a key to «just take care of it». Highly recommend. And guys — keep up the good work!

Honest, efficient and easy to work with. You’ll talk to the same people when you call, and you can expect good service, and a fair price. I’d gladly recommend them (which I guess is exactly what I’m doing right now) to anyone who needs plumbing work done.

Unilocal to the rescue again! Andrew had to do a solo trip all the way to the northern suburbs to fix our cracked pipe located in our flooded crawl space. On a 90 degree day, after battling traffic… and yet still was professional AND personable! He replaced our outside water line and ran new pipe through the crawl space and I was able to water my lawn an hour later. Oh, and the cost was exceptionally reasonable — $ 80 per hour for 1 plumber, $ 120 for 2 plumbers and these guys are EFFICIENT, so an hour or two of work is an incredible amount of time to complete most small to medium sized jobs. The nice thing is that this company runs on a strong work ethic, quality service and customer loyalty… the way good business should be done.

ZERO Reliability. After having taken the day off work, I had scheduled an Appt for a Friday morning, and was assured I would be the 2^nd appt of the day (9:30 AM).
When I called at noon to determine the status, they acted as if we never had spoken/​they forgot. Given I had arranged the appt just ½ day earlier, I was dumbfounded. Needless to say this was a lost opportunity for them, as well as lost future recommendations to others.

Kyle, Andrew and Bob are the best… complete w/​plumber’s overalls. I found them here on Unilocal.I was looking for someone trustworthy to hook up a corner sink and address a negative flow. I spoke w/​Kyle who was prompt, professional and polite. a fella who leads by example b/​c his whole crew has the same approach.
He gave me several options and was no pressure. The guys were patient enough to explain every step they were doing to keep my 1^st time home buying heart at ease while they cut into the 80 y/​o plaster walls. I was impressed because they were very knowledgeable in answering all my random inquiries about owning an old house and did it in good humor.
I can’t say enough about his crew (Andrew and Bob) they were positive and productive. They were calm even with my dogs being in house while they worked and full of helpful tips. They told me exactly what it was going to cost and they stood by it. Call them up, you won’t be disappointed.

Called these guys with a semi-​emergency situation – one of our pipes sprang a leak and was dripping down through our neighbor’s ceiling.
They called first thing in the morning. Arrived mid-​morning, and were done in less than an hour. Plus, as others have written, they were easy-​going, honest, professional, and reasonably priced.
I’m a new homeowner, and can be easily overwhelmed (or annoyed) by the hassles of home ownership. After today, I’m pleased to have at least one ally in the home service category.

I’m so thankful to find honest plumbers to count on. They are a small company that are 20 years old and consist of three plumbers, that alone is amazing. I had a small job that needed to be done (installing a kitchen faucet), but trying to find a plumber to come out this time of year, who didn’t charge and arm and a leg, proved to be tough. I luckily came across Dorenbos Plumbing after searching for a while on Unilocal and Service Magic, and after talking to six other plumbers/​plumbing companies.
They were so friendly and charge extremely fair prices, much less than the others I spoke to ($ 120 an hour for two plumbers/​$ 80 and hour for one plumber). I felt extremely comfortable with them as soon as they entered my home. They are extremely personable and easy to talk to – even about the french toast and grits at Wishbone ;) They offered me great advice, important things I never would have known about my p-​trap and garbage disposal had they not said anything. I’m glad to have the peace of mind that the job was done right and that I have a trusty plumber to call when I need one. They were quick, efficient and so clean. They even offered to take off their shoes, which I so appreciate, no one hardly does that!

Dorenbos is a three-​man operation: Kyle (head-​honcho), Bob (seasoned expert), and Andrew (young rising star). When I first called them, it was a Friday morning, and they actually offered to send someone over that afternoon! I wouldn’t be home so I scheduled for Monday morning. What a difference from my condo maintenence person that after three weeks never so much as called me back.
These guys are great. They offer a very quick turnaround, and are very friendly and courteous. they are very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, and seem to know a lot about plumbing in general and have seen many different situations and problems. They constantly chatted with me while they performed the work and explained to me each step of the way what they were doing and what each thing they were adjusting or fixing was for.
I am very pleased with their level of technical expertise. The only reason why I am not giving them 5 stars is that they were supposed to come at 11:00am for my appointment, but they only got in at 12:30. The reason they gave — their previous appointment was running late. Well that is completely understandable, however if they had proactively called me and told me that they would be late, I would have been fine. Unfortunately, I sat around waiting until 11:30am, and then I called them. And that was when they told me they were stuck at a job fixing a toilet. Well, at least I managed to finish my lunch before they got to my place.
But bottom line — they are really excellent service providers and you should not hesitate to give them a call for your plumbing needs.

These guys came out today to rod my kitchen sink. They are efficient, friendly and just plain honest. I would highly recommend to anyone needing plumbing work. We will use them again!
