Established in 2008.

DSM contractor’s construction services are a full service contracting firm. We specialize in electrical and carpentry with 27 years of experience. DSM contractor’s owner Dan St. Mary has built many new single family and multi unit homes in the Chicago area .I Started as a carpenter working for my uncle doing residential framing on large remodeling projects in 1984. Worked for a few years for my uncle and during a slow winter in 1989 a friend ask if I knew anything about electric seeing I had done many school reports on electric, I said yes I have basic knowledge and started working as an electrician’s apprentice. After a few years working for the first electrical contractor I was recruited to a union shop for a few years. As I worked doing the same type of work day after day I got bored and decided to start my own business in 1994. By 1997 I was asked by a freind to run his developers GC division for a friend renovating multi unit apartment buildings and then build new homes.

Dan St. Mary Has worked in construction for 27 years. I have been a project manager for a small developer running their General contracting builder division for 14 years. My Project manager position entailed budgeting, estimating, scheduling, contract procurment, purchasing, design, research and developement of a custom cabinet shop, managing as many as 20 employees doing electric carpentry plumbing HVAC. With my formal college training in construction management and life long experience I have the knowledge to install a new electrical system or build you a new custom home. I have many freinds which i made dealing with subcontractors when building new multi unit and residential homes. This vast network of ex employees and subcontractors gives me a great foundation to take on any type of project you may need done in a fast and quality manner.
