El Famous Burrito

I like this place because it’s fast and it’s cheap. I like their tacos and tostadas mostly. The ingredients aren’t the finest quality but what do you expect when the prices are so cheap? If you go late enough you might be lucky enough to stand behind (and laugh at) a staggering drunk person.
It fine. Not great. Not terrible.

Despite my horrible experience last time, I went to El Famous Burrito for the second time today and although the food is excellent the service is substandard as I expected it to be.
My feedback for El Famous Burrito
1. Answer the phone
2. Don’t answer the phone then hang up on customers
3. When customers call in an order have the order ready when they get there, and if its not ready at least pretend to be apologetic about it.
4. Would it kill the employees to crack a smile?! You have a job after all! In the air conditioning no less!
5. The food is great though.
3.5 stars for the food, but 1 star for the service so I’m giving El Famous Burrito 2 Stars.

I had the misfortune of going there this past Saturday night. I ordered a chicken fajita burrito and to say it was awful would be an understatement. I had serious reservations watching the guy behind the counter preparing it and at that point I should have just changed my mind. He simply just slapped all the ingredients together in a pile with about as much care or grace as a tow truck driver might. No offense to tow truck drivers. I brought it home and tried a few bites but just couldn’t bring myself to eat it and it ended in the trashcan where it belonged.

I’ve ordered here 3 times with my coworkers and each time it was bad. Delivery takes over an hour every time, the steak is more like a shredded beef, rice is overcooked.
Additionally, they’ve messed up my orders. I ordered 3 taco dinner, they gave me only 2 tacos and charged me for 3. It may be a little cheaper than other places but the quality is horrible, take forever to deliver, just overall not worth it.

Steak in my quesodilla was bomb. The guac was a little too green union-​y tasting for my liking. The inside of this place reminds me a little of Nazi germany. Why you ask? Well. They charge for fountain drink refills. Now I didn’t stay inside and eat, nor did I get a fountain drink, but they had these big signs plastered on the soda machines? I just thought that was funny and a rare sight these days.
Only been here once. I’ll try it again. I’ll get a burrito next time.

This review is about the regular burrito. I loved Chipotle’s burritos and I was hoping to get someting similar here.
Menu: El Famous menu is much more extense than Chipotle’s but I think because of this the waiting time is longer because servers have deal with a different variaty of food.
Service: Service is slower than Chipotle’s
Food: I prefer’s Chipotle’s burritos. The beans were a little cold, the meat didn’t look very apetizing.

Pretty good quick Mexican food, (and they deliver). Try the ultimate burrito — it’s HUGE…

Great tacos! We had a huge order for a party and everyone loved them so much that we run out within minutes.

Stumbled upon this corner joint after a late night in the city. Found street parking immediately. A pretty clean, new-​looking place. Even at 2:30 a.m. there was a line of about eight people. I ordered a chile relleno, which I had never heard of and it was sooo good! I can’t wait to have another. We also got a free churro with our check-​in! They have three types of churros: cream, strawberry, and regular. They didn’t have them in the warmer that seemed to be just for the churros, so one of the guys made them for us fresh. Only thing I didn’t like was my taco. I ordered a steak taco and the meat seemed of poor quality and not very tender. The best part of this place is probably the fact that it’s open really late and they have many locations.
