I called and left voicemails at the office at least 2 – 3 times while calling at least another 3 or 4 with no answers at all over the course of a month and half. I NEVER got a call back on any of my voicemails and now when I finally got through, they tell me the next appointment isn’t for over a month when now I can’t wait that long because my thyroid medicine runs out before then. VERY frustrating when I called numerous times and never got a call back.

I’ve been going to Dr. B for more than one year. She is a very caring and thorough doctor. She takes her time with me, asking questions about areas of my health beyond just the matter at hand — because she wants to get the whole picture. I don’t think you find that very much with doctors. Dr. B also has an online patient portal that is really convenient. Dr. B also calls me on my weight — but in a nice way. I don’t like it, but I need it. The only reason it isn’t 5 stars is sometimes due to the wait. Most of the time it’s just a 15 – 20 min wait, which is fine. A few times I have had to wait about 40 mins. I think it is because she takes her time with patients, and her office doesn’t feel super rushed, but 40 mins is a bit too long.

I’ve been going to Dr. Bajramovic for over three years now. She is very knowledgeable in her specialty area and is attentive and open to discussing my issues. I appreciate that she takes my concerns seriously.
Also, her receptionist/​secretary Amber is the most polite and amiable receptionist I’ve ever encountered — anywhere! It makes going to the doctor’s office a more pleasant experience.
One star off for wait time. Usually I wait about 15 – 20 minutes, but today I had to wait almost 40 minutes for my 8 a.m. appointment. I wouldn’t have minded so much except that I was consequently late for work.

My primary care physician recommended Dr. Sanija S. Bajramovic at Northwestern Memorial. Because of this recommendation, I set up an appointment to see her regarding my inability to lose weight and my hormones. The gal at the desk took me into a room and hooked me up to a machine to test my metabolism. After the test, the Dr. moved me into another exam room to go over the the results. During my appointment, Dr. Bajramovic was interrupted by her nurse THREE times! Twice she left the room to deal with another patients blood work. I felt like I was not even worth her time. When she finally came back into the room, she asked me questions about my eating habits and weight history. After I told her, she basically told me I had a «slower than normal metabolism», that I needed to eat whole foods not processed foods and that I needed to exercise and count calories to stay on track-​all of this even an idiot knows. She asked me if I was depressed. I told her yes. She said she could put me on a medication that could help with depression and my weight at the same time. I told her I would think about that. She then told me she would do blood work even after I told her I had gotten blood work done 3 months earlier and everything was fine. She did a quick exam of my glands and sent me to the blood lab. She told me since it was the week before NYE, she may not get back to me until after the first of the year. I said I understood.
I NEVER heard back from her! My husband finally called her office nearly a month later to find out who I could complain to about the awful experience I had. Her secretary would not give him a name and instead put the Dr. on the phone. She apologized to him for not getting back to me because she was so «busy» and promised to call me that day. Which she did. I spoke with her the following day and she told me the test results were fine (big surprise). I also asked her to please write me a prescription for the anti depressant because I had gotten much more depressed in the past month. She said the only way she would write a prescription is if I followed up with my Dr. I said I would. I went to visit my family for a week and when I came back I called my pharmacy to see if she had called the prescription in-​SHE HAD NOT.
To this day she has NOT written that prescription. She neglected to write a prescription for a patient who’s clearly told her she is depressed-​if this isn’t malpractice then I don’t know what is.
If you want real help with your weight/​diabetes/​hormones-​DO NOT GO TO DR. BAJRAMOVIC! I have never had a Dr. be so negligent and uncaring. She should not be practicing medicine if she does not care about all of her patients, forgets to call them back AND forgets to fill their very important prescriptions.
Awful experience.
