WELCOME
At the Church of the Advent, our arms are open to everyone. Like the diverse communities that create the vibrant Logan Square neighborhood in Chicago, we are a community of several races and ethnicities, social and economic backgrounds. We come together in love with one God, and we welcome anyone who would like to visit or join us.
We are all the richer for our members: English and Spanish speakers, home-blessed and home-less; straight folks and gay folks; people of all ages. We are artists, writers and musicians; students, teachers, and college administrators; nurses and care-givers; postal workers and limousine drivers. We work all across the city, but when we gather together, we are a new creation that values and uplifts all of its members.
History
Established in 1901.
The Episcopal Church of the Advent was organized on the first Sunday of the Advent season in 1901.
