I came in looking for a caramel fudge for a friend, which they actually don’t offer. So Kristian had me try samples of other caramel chocolates and I found I loved the pixies the most. They have a promotion for buy one get one free for the pixies and the mint chocolates so I grabbed two boxes. She offered to gift wrap each box and did a BEAUTIFUL job making them look fabulous (they have a strange shape so it was hard to do). The team was super friendly even with a busy store and very professional. I usually don’t like to spend a lot of candy but the chocolate was delicious, the service was awesome and they were very accommodating! Highly recommend coming in if you’re downtown Chicago and have a sweet tooth!

I tried the colonial mix, with a few mint melts ways and sea salt caramel on the side. I thought the mix was good, lots of things to try. My gripe, no guide, you almost have to blindly guess what things are. Their caramel is the right texture, but seriously lacks in flavor, even with sea salt. It’s a nice treat from time to time, but there is no way I’d get it every day.

All I can say is Pixies and mint meltaways. Well, wait a minute. My daughter surprised me with a Pixie cheesecake for my birthday and I was hesitant about eating it because I didn’t think I’d like it. It turned out to be quite tasty. It was rich to be sure but it was good.
