This location is owned and run by the same folks at the Lincoln Park location. And I have to say, I was skeptical of the whole thing. It seemed like some boring aerobics class. Then a friend explained the inches and weight lost doing the 10 week program, and I got intrigued… You have to understand, I am not a gym rat. I used to run a half marathon every year, but I started to half ass them, and gained a lot of weight. It had been about 8 years since I had stepped into a gym, and I needed something. I was about to need to buy a new belt because my old one was getting too small. I was on the last hole. I signed up. It was a real butt kicker at first, but if you stick with it, you will be amazed by how good you get in 10 weeks. I went from 20 situps, 12 pushups, and a 10:50 minute mile to 44 situps, 24 pushups, and an 8:45 minute mile. I lost almost 30 lbs, and a whole mess of inches over my body. I have stuck with it for around 8 months, I am now down 40 lbs, and I am going to need to buy a new belt because my old one is now too big! The people are really supportive, kind, and helpful. Everyone is working together to reach similar goals, and it creates a great community.
