Fragrant Design

I worked with Fragrant Design for my wedding on Sept. 19^th– and they absolutely nailed it. I had a very specific vision– something whimsical, ethereal, and not overly structured– and from the start, I felt like Tori understood completely. The results were spectacular. When my bouquet was delivered to my hotel room while getting ready, I teared up– it was so, so beautiful– I never wanted to put it down! They also assembled gorgeous greenery garlands for our reception space that looked amazing, and I received countless comments from guests on how lovely they were. Tori and Amanda were both a pleasure to work with, and prices were very fair. Thrilled with my choice of florist and highly recommend Fragrant Design.

I worked with Tori for floral arrangements and design for our wedding on May 23^rd. She did a fantastic job from beginning to end. With ideas I had with minimal clarity she used her creativity to quickly help me realize my vision. She was easy to communicate with and a true pleasure to work with. The end result of all of our flowers was better than I could imagine in pictures. I highly recommend Fragrant Design (specifically Tori) to carry out your vision or to help you create a vision for your special event! The price was right, too!

Nadine and Tori were professional, easy to work with and all around experts in their field. They listened to my «vision» and created the most amazing florals for my wedding– including a fabulous bridal bouquet. I would highly recommend them.

We used Fragrant Design for our wedding a couple weeks ago in Chicago and we could not be happier with our decision. Nadine and Tori were great every step of the way! They advised us on everything from table cloths to uplighting and worked within our budget to create the most gorgeous centerpieces I’ve ever seen. The bouquets were unbelievable, and I don’t know how it’s possible, but mine lasted for an entire week after the wedding (I even carried it on our flight home — and recieved loads of compliments). Everything was better than I expected and my guests could not stop talking about how beautiful everything looked. I highly reccomend Fragrant Designs and would work with them again in a heartbeat!

I just got married last weekend and used Fragrant Design for my personals for the wedding. The flowers turned out great and were exactly what I was hoping for. Tori and Nadine were great to work with throughout the whole process and made it very easy. They were very accommodating to a few last minute additions that were needed. I definitely recommend using them for your wedding or other events where you need flowers.

I could not have been more pleased with this company. I went to a few meetings with florists for my wedding and as soon as I met with Tori at the company, I knew I was in good hands. Tori and Nadine worked within my budget, never trying to get me to raise it, and they created the exact vision I had imagined for my wedding, making everything incredibly easy by delivering all «personal» flowers to my apartment and everything else to the venue. I was so pleasantly surprised getting to the venue and seeing everything set up, it was more gorgeous than I imagined. Nadine and her team are fabulous and I can’t recommend them enough.

My wedding coordinator recommended that I use Fragrant Design to do the flowers for my September wedding, and I couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out! Nadine and her team did an outstanding job helping me plan the floral arrangements. I had NO clue what I was doing, so I delegated the decisions to Nadine. I gave her the color scheme and my budget and told her to let her creative juices flow. Did they ever! Everything was PERFECT!!! My bouquets and center pieces looked AMAZING. They were simple, elegant and gorgeous. I am so happy I went with Fragrant Design. Also, I must add that Nadine was such a professional — she was even able to accommodate several last minute requests. If you are getting married in Chicago, you MUST use Fragrant Design as your florist!

Nadine and her team did the flowers for our May 2013 wedding. She was very easy to communicate with and was very consistent in responding to my emails… even when I had finals and didn’t respond for several days. We went back and forth several times figuring out ways to reduce costs without compromising the look I wanted… and everything turned out GREAT. I was fairly picky about what I wanted and had several pinterest pictures that Nadine was able to work with very well and she never once got frustrated with me! She also had her own suggestions, but was never overpowering and understood exactly what I wanted.
Even my husband has said it was beautiful and he knows nothing about wedding flowers! She did a beautiful job and I couldn’t be happier with the flowers. They were GORGEOUS!!!

The flowers that Fragrant Design did for my wedding were beautiful. Nadine was wonderful to work with. I spoke with her about the location of the wedding, flowers I liked, and feel I was going for and let her create what she saw fit. The flowers were gorgeous and fit within my budget. She truly understood my vision and created something absolutely perfect. Even my husband, who could care less about the flowers during the planning process, was blown away. I cannot recommend Nadine, and her talented staff, enough.

I’m so glad that I chose Nadine and her team for my May 2012 wedding. I was getting frustrated in my search for a florist – there were plenty of florists who had huge minimums, florists who didn’t return phone calls or e-​mail inquiries and florists with ugly website portfolios – until I found Fragrant Design.
Nadine was prompt in communication (even when I wasn’t). I met her at her West Loop studio after work. She was very professional yet casual and easy to work with. She was patient with my lack of ideas and knowledge. Most importantly, she was able to design a fantastic proposal based on my general terms (modern, neutral and earthy) and my budget.
Nadine was very accommodating with the small changes I requested between the final design (our second meeting with the samples) and the wedding date. On the day of the wedding, the bouquets and pin-​on flowers were delivered right on time. The flowers were fresh and perfect. Her team set up the ceremony space and then set up the reception space (in the same ballroom). Nadine knew the venue and created a design that complemented the space perfectly.
I highly recommend.

Nadine was wonderful to work with. I was not quite sure what I was envisioning for the wedding, but I told her my color scheme and general ideas about the wedding — she took my information and created a collection of bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces that were beautiful and also unique. She seemed to know all the right questions to ask, and she was in touch regularly during the two weeks prior to the wedding as she finalized everything. Highly recommended!

Nadine is amazing! We worked with her for our May wedding! I couldn’t tell you the difference between a rose and a tulip, but I know what i like and what I don’t like. Nadine was able to understand my «vision» and help me get to what i wanted. We met a few times to discuss the boquets as well as the flowers for the dinner. When I saw my bouquet for the first time, I started to cry. It was so elegant, but not overstated, it was exactly what I wanted.
1 day before the wedding I realized I didn’t get a corsage for someone that needed one. Nadine was able to make 1 that day. She is so easy to work with!
I would highly recommend Nadine to anyone! She is fun to work with, knows her stuff — and really has great ideas to help you if you don’t know exactly what you want. She and her staff turned our room into a candlelit, romantic, yet fun and modern room. I only hope to have more events where we can work with Nadine again!

I was looking for a florist to create pieces for my July 10 wedding. I received proposals from three companies. One florist and I just didn’t seem to have a good connection, one was a bit over budget… luckily, the third company was Fragrant Design. I met with Nadine, the owner, in her west loop loft studio. I reviewed photos of her work and told her what we had in mind. Perhaps most importantly, I just really liked her. Sometimes you just trust that someone will do a good job, and I really got that feeing with Nadine.
Nadine is also super nice– I had a million questions that I sent her via email. I also changed my mind a few times, and wanted the cost reduced once. She promptly responded to each email professionally. She even agreed to a second in-​person meeting so my mom (who was having nightmares about wedding disasters and needed some major calming) could feel comfortable with her.
Of all the vendors we hired for the wedding, Nadine most exceeded my expectations. I knew she’d do a good job since I’d seen photos of her work, but the floral designs she came up with were beyond my wildest dreams. Wedding guests loved them too. And she is so nice to work with! And I love that she’s a small business owner and I got to deal with her– not some ‘front desk clerk’. I would hire Fragrant Design again in a minute.

EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED. My daghter hired Nadine to do the flowers for her wedding last fall. The flowers were not fresh and some began drying out even before the day was done. One of our relatives sitting at my table pointed out how mushy the ends were and that this should be unacceptable. She works for a florist. I contacted Nadine by mail but she never responded and did not even acknowledge my dissatisfaction. My daughter and I both thought it was far more expensive than other florists but she thought that meant it would be better. I guess you don’t always get what you pay for. Will never use her again.

Nadine was great to work with — I selected her out of the 3 – 4 florists because she was the most willing to work within my specifications. Her flowers were so gorgeous on the day of the wedding and everything arrived in great shape. I was able to see some sample arrangements upon requests and she was able to make modifications to get the texture of the flowers that I wanted. I didn’t show sample pictures until toward the end which I should have done earlier. Would recommend her to anyone.

The flowers at our wedding were fabulous and we owe it all to Nadine! She captured the feeling that we wanted to portray and put a lot of thought into her suggestions and ideas. Nadine is willing to work with any budget and was very reliable. Nadine was creative, innovative and easy to work with. I would easily recommend Fragrant Designs!

Highly recommended! We got married on 3/​14, and Nadine put together absolutely gorgeous floral arrangements for both the ceremony and the reception. The centerpieces made the room, even with floor to ceiling windows that overlooked the river. Our colors were purple and green, and she had very creative ways to keep the deigns simple, yet elegant. Nadine was very easy to work with, and comes with our recommendation.

Best flowers ever! I got married this past October and hired Nadine to do my flowers. I told her I wanted to create the feeling of sunset indoors cuz in Oct. an outside wedding is risky. My flowers were vibrant shades of sunset and there was candle light on pillars everywhere! It was exactly what I pictured. She worked with my budget and didn’t go a penny over. amazing!

Nadine was great. I’m not much of a flower person and since our wedding was in December, I wanted the décor to look more festive than floral. Nadine came up with the idea to have three different center pieces (there were 20 tables) and it turned out really well. She put together vinery and branches dusted in gold with beautifully lit vases, wreaths with candles and pinecones in the center and gorgeous poinsettias that didn’t look like «just another poinsettia». I received tons of compliments! And the personal flowers were just as beautiful — and right on time.
