History

Established in 2014.

We are a family-​owned business that opened in November, 2014. We were founded on the basis of providing a healthier dessert option and currently have two locations in Chicago: 3746 N Southport Ave (catering to families and children) and 233 N Michigan Ave (catering to the business community).

Pretty good stuff. The staff was very kind to us even though we came in tonight just before closing. I liked that they have Chicago flavors of yogurt. The tart wasn’t as good as the tart at forever yogurt but all the flavors are pretty solid and tasty. The place was very clean and they had a lot of great toppings for your yogurt very well organized. All in all, a great stop for a creative yogurt dessert.

One of my favorite frozen yogurt bars. The staff is super friendly and informative, there are tons of toppings choices and I love that they have quinoa oatmeal in the morning! It is also the only frozen yogurt bar I have found that has soft serve coconut ice cream that is completely non-​dairy. I highly recommend!

I was back in town for the weekend and craving some white chocolate frozen yogurt. I stopped in after dinner and found that while they didn’t have my white chocolate (throwback to my TCBY days) they did have a really good oreo cheesecake flavor (which tasted fantastic) that I combined w/​some organic, vegan coconut which was also good. Added some fresh strawberries, sat on the patio outside, did some people watching and enjoyed a healthy but very satisfying dessert. I just started drinking matcha green tea lattes and saw they had some there but was too full from dinner to order. I’ll def try one next time I go back.

Was in the neighborhood and happened upon this refreshing shop. Loved the huge variety of options in addition to every topping you can imagine. Everything was clean and inviting and the owner was friendly, welcoming and a really nice guy! It’s nice to have such sincere enthusiasm and hospitality. My 20 year old son was with me and gave the place a big thumbs up too, liking the patio and the service. We’ll be back!

My family tried Froyo Chicago recently and loved it! We are all very picky when it comes to yogurt flavors so it was nice to see Froyo Chicago had a bunch of flavors that each of us loved. My wife got tart and peanut butter and loved them both while my daughter got key lime pie and it must have been good because she ate the entire cup which is unlike her. She also raved about the color changing spoons for the rest of the afternoon! I had the strawberry and it was fantastic. Toppings bar was very fresh and well maintained. One of the best features of Froyo Chicago has to be the section for kids. My daughter was able to play on the chalkboard while my wife and I were able to view all of the options here in addition to the yogurt. Nice to find a kid friendly yogurt shop in the city. We will definitely be back again soon!

I just scored a job a few buildings down from this place & found myself wandering the block looking for some coffee one morning & stumbled upon Froyo. Not only did they have COFFEE, but in the MORNING they have FRESH OATMEAL! FRESH OATMEAL that you can top with any topping (strawberries, blueberries, granola) !!! Personally, I had no idea that FROYO places did this in the morning & i think its GENIUS!
Call me your new frequent customer.

I love this little neighborhood spot!!! Their products are «in the raw [and] are Non-​GMO, Fair Trade, Organic, and locally sourced.» They have a ton of different froyo flavors that all taste good! Some are sugar free, non fat, low fat, dairy free, etc — basically, they have a variety! Some flavors that I’ve tried: NY Cheesecake, Oreo Cheesecake, Strawberry Cheesecake, Raspberry Truffle, Peanut Butter, Chocolate PB Cup, Cake Batted, etc. They also have fruity flavors, but as you can tell, I’m a fan of the more chocolate/​peanut butter flavors.
They have a variety of toppings — from candy to fruit to superfoods to granola. All of their toppings are fresh — I’ve even watched them pack everything up at night, so I know that they do not sit out all night.
Although I’ve only tried the froyo and toppings, I know that they offer other products — oatmeal, smoothies, coffee, etc.

An average build-​your-​own FroYo place. Cant say I was at all disappointed.
The place has an obvious draw for children and this location especially is full of them. There is a back room that looks like a play room and I understand can be used for kid parties too.
Plenty of flavors and toppings to choose from. When I was in there the toppings bar could have used a little bit of cleaning up and refreshing.
Overall a great summer treat if you are in the area!

This place is insanely close to my apartment so I am a huge fan of that convenience factor. They also have super long hours which is nice when you’re craving a sweet treat.
Other perks:
— This place is not as obnoxiously branded as other froyo chains
— The staff was cheerful and friendly!
— They have some interesting flavors (fruit punch) as well as flavors to accommodate various dietary restrictions (vegan, no sugar added, ect).
— The price was comparable to other froyo stores, hooray!
Cons:
— Their tart wasn’t actually tart in my opinion, it tasted just as sweet as the vanilla.
— Some of the spoons for the toppings were really sticky and should have been changed out for fresh ones.
— I would have loved some shredded coconut or other lighter «healthy» toppings.
All in all, a solid place and I will be sure to return.

I couldn’t wait to try what could have been my new «go to» fro yo spot. As I entered, i expected a warm hello with some tasting cups and maybe a short explanation re the mystery flavors? Ok, that’s asking for way too much. I got nothing. I checked out the flavors and looked around for tasting cups until I finally gave up and asked the guy behind the counter who pointed his finger toward the topping bar. I grabbed two taster cups (including a cup for my yogurt), tried two flavors and decided to play it safe with chocolate. I noticed that 2 machines were leaking and overall the machines needed to be cleaned. I headed to the topping bar and GASP who let the kids play in the toppings? I was so disgusted and turned off… its back to Forever Yogurt.
This place has potential… if they aren’t keeping it up now, imagine what it will be like a few months from now.

We stopped by a couple weeks ago ! Love this addition to the neighborhood ! Plenty of choices of yogurt flavors. And the toppings were plentiful. Though they may need to appoint someone to monitor the toppings bar as it was in need of some tidying up. Looked like some kids went a little crazy ?
Loved the experience ! Met the gentleman owner — very personable ! Glad they are in they are in the neighborhood !

If you are looking for froyo this is by far one of the best in around. They have a bunch of treats as well as fresh fruit always stocked up. They also have organic and vegan froyo. You can make your own smoothie. They also have steel cut oatmeal everyday, which works just like the froyo (load it up and weigh it). The oatmeal could be a little more consistent an not so runny but usually it is on point!
The froyo is also significantly less calories than other yogurt places (some 70 cal per serving)
