If I could give negative stars I would. I don’t know who does the hiring at this store but they may want to reevaluate their staff. I arrived at the shop at 11:30. They open at 11 am. The door was locked. However I could see an employee standing inside. She looked like she was re stocking candy. I caught her eye through the window and mouthed were they open. She stared at me and then proceeded to start eating candy from the containers near the wall. I couldn’t believe it. Doors locked, employees eating the merchandise and just rude. Oh well, I’ll take my money elsewhere.

First time buyer at Fuzziwigs. While waiting at the register with my friend when she was checking out, the two women working aggressively and rudely accused me of stealing a pack of mints. After denying their accusations, they requested that I remove the contents of both my pants and coat pockets. After realizing they were mistaken, they followed up with the most hilarious excuse for an apology. To sum it up, I will not be visiting Fuzziwigs soon unless I have the dying urge to be wrongly accused of theft.

The women who worked here became friends over our 3 day stay in Chicago. We loved hanging out with them and buying yummy treats each day. Much laughter was had inside. Memorable moments will be taken from this store… along with a few thousand delicious calories.

Fabulous! This is not the place I need to be at until I am at a healthier weight but when you walk in, I promise you that you will feel like a kid. Wow!

Located very near the corner of Clark and Diversey. just a few stores to the north of Jamba Juice you will find Fuzziwigs Candy Factory. And. as I told the great ladies who work there I had walked by about 5 different times and the visual was so great but I tried to avoid it. But. today was the day. I went in. I bit the bullet! This store is merchandised beautifully, so many colors and so many varieties of candies that I honestly have’nt seen for many years. A whole wall of Pez Dispensers like I have never seen before. Jelly Belly Varieties Galore! And. M&M’s in every color. many more colors than are offered in a basic bag of M&M“s! Those Old fashioned Lollipops, and a case of gourmet like chocolates! Hello Kitty lunchboxes too! So. Fuzziwigs is a small storefront and some may miss it. But. I would like to suggest just looking through the window and then take the plunge and walk in to this retro candy store. The ladies there are Koren, Roberta and Carla and they are so friendly. just stop in and say Hello! But. as I found out today. letting Lorelei loose in a candy store is a dangerous task. I loved Fuzziwigs and loved the ladies who work there. And. I’m sure you will too.:)

How come there are so many candy stores in Lakeview? Not that I’m complaining, because the serendipity of stumbling into this place made my day. But how about you bring some of that bulk-sugar up to Andersonville? I promise that I will keep you(and my dentist) solidly in business. Anyway, regardless of neighborhood, chalk this up as another victory for Jelly Belly lovers on the north side. They have a total of 24 bins, with a very solid lineup of flavors, including Tangerine, Juicy Pear, Peach, Licorice, Root Beer, Buttered Popcorn, and Toasted Marshmallow, plus Snapple, Smoothie, and Soda Pop Shoppe mixes, and – glory be! – my hands-down number-one favorite, Citrus Mix, which heretofore I have found only in Alaska and at the Jelly Belly company store in Wisconsin. There are hardly any lame flavors, but I don’t understand why they carry both Cinnamon and Sizzling Cinnamon: give that extra spot to another deserving flavor, yo! This is a small shop, but It occurred to me while I was in there that a bulk candy outfit is a great use for these long, narrow storefronts of which we have so many in Chicago. Maybe I’ll open one of my own. Closer to home. Not in Lakeview.

Gym bunnies watch out: there’s a new candy store to walk by on your way to Ballys-Century Mall. It’s literally a hole in the wall, so you’ll miss it if you blink. But inside are the usual Wonka delights: gumballs of every size and flavor imaginable, M&Ms in colors, collectible Pez dispensers, a wall of self-serve confections – almost everything is sold by the pound. They also have a case of finer candies: truffles, bon-bons, etc. This store is part of a large chain that’s used to being in outlet malls, so for them to foray into the heart of Lincoln Park is daring enough. Their prices are comparable to other confectioners in the area(high, but then again, you’re not buying lettuce or tomatoes here), and their store is cute. The lady working there was pleasant. I wish them well!
