Georgio’s Gourmet Pizza

I guess it’s what you should expect for Division St pizza. Any regular patron in this area has drank through any possibility of a taste bud to taste the half done crust on this ridiculous snot flavored mozzarella-​luke warm monstrosity. The best thing they do is the marinara, but it can’t save the measly piece of crap. Gross

Just ordered this at midnight and it was amazing!!! Similar to a Luca pizza style, it was huge.

«Pizza is like sex. Even when it’s bad, it’s still pretty good.» Well, imagine the worst sex you ever had. That’s this pizza.
I will elaborate by saying I had it at the end of the day and it might be better at lunch, but I’m not willing to try. It was a slice under a heat lamp. Their made-​to-​order stuff is probably better.

One slice costs $ 7. Flavor is way away its original shop in Michigan. Not so friendly staff and the reheated slice can just be called warm!!!

Placed an order. They told me 40 minutes. Took an hour and 50 minutes. Pizza showed up ice cold. They were not polite about the delay. Find a different pizza place other than here. Horrible customer service

No, just no. Don’t do it. If you do have very low expectations. It’s a super late night after the bars pizza place. It’s next to some kind of night club and it’s a crazy atmosphere. The pizza looks like store bought frozen that has been reheated. My friend got a slice of macaroni and cheese with bacon and it was ice cold. She asked them to reheat it and then it has a nice black crust on the bottom. I seriously felt ill just looking at/​smelling her pizza. I had a slice of pepperoni which was bland, but at least it was hot. It is cramped in there, only a few stools by the window for seating and there are all kinds of characters here! People yelling, people pushing in line, kind of scary, just not a great experience. There are too many good pizza places in Chicago to not have a great experience.

Just FYI, this place has surge pricing on their pizza. Prices vary wildly depending on collective blood alcohol level of the surrounding microenvironment.
The pizza is decent.

First time in Chicago and place my delivery order at 1:45am. Place is open until 4am and at 2:45am they tell me the order is cancelled and they cannot deliver to me cuz it’s too far. I am staying 3.4 miles away from the restaurant. What a disappointment
Update: Also charged me $ 22 for my order and they told me to call my bank

Most expensive pizza on division (more expensive then Lou Malnati’s).
I just payed $ 13.50 for two slices of pepperoni and bacon pizza… Yes slices! You can get a small deep dish at Lou for less which is just insane. The insanity of the prices is only matched by my stupidity for paying them since I felt guilty the lady had already started heating the slices up in the oven.
I mean if you really want some amazing overpriced drunk night pizza this is your place. Otherwise walk down the street it even take a taxi somewhere else, it’s all going to even out money wise in the end.

The pizza takes two minutes and it’s not bad. If you’re looking for something quick and easy, come here.

Randomly craving pizza and being in downtown already. I saw this place and decided to give it a shot. I got the pizza fast about 5 – 10 minutes. I ordered 2 slices 1 veggie and 1 cheese and a order of mozzarella sticks. Both of the pizza slices had a sweet sauce. That I didn’t like very much at all but the mozzarella sticks were cheesy and had a nice breaded outside. All in all the food was ³⁄₅. But the issue I had with the place was the price! It was over priced $ 20 bucks for 2 slices of pizza, 2 drinks and mozzarella sticks. So all in all ³⁄₅ because it was fast descent food and a large variety of drinks.

Incredible. Just moved here from the St. Louis area, I have tried some of the deep dish places but for a quick slice this is going to be my go to stop. Large slices of great pizza. It’s a small place but definitely worth checking out.

Compared to the one in Grand Rapids, it’s not even close. Lukewarm pizza, minimal choices. Just ok.

Idk what the bad reviews are about. We just ordered for delivery after 3am. The guy on the phone said it’d be about45 minutes to an hour and it was more like 40 minutes. Charged us $ 25 even (large pepperoni + delivery included in the 25). Multiple containers of extra marinara and ranch was also included in our order at no extra charge.

Terrible grease served on cardboard with a ketchup sauce. I would NEVER eat here again. For a city known for pizza this is a disgrace.

I live down the street from Georgio’s and order it embarrassingly often, most times while sober. I’ve only ever had the plain cheese pizza but it is SO GOOD.

Where to start…
The guy behind the counter was friendly enough. He was a bit rude to my friend I was with and kept comparing him to some guy we didn’t know; I wasn’t sure if he was being rude or truly paying my friend a compliment.
I ordered the mac n’ cheese with bacon pizza. As promised, it helped to fight off any hangover in the morning.
If, and when, I have a late night on Division and Rush again I will most likely stop in and grab a slice. I don’t think it’s worth two slices.
Tip: If you truly want well made and unusual pizza try Ian’s in Wrigleyville!

The pizza has very real potential. My issue is that they must’ve slid the slices I picked out into the oven for exactly and no more than 10 seconds, as they were dreadfully cold. Didn’t feel like walking back to have them reheat it properly (though, I probably should’ve at $ 6 a slice). The other thing is that the guy who took my order noticed I was wearing a NU Law sweatshirt and began bringing it to everyone’s attn. next thing I know, he’s «joking» about me probably being a stripper? I was annoyed by his remarks and left swiftly when my order came up. While I recognize he was probably joking, his remark was highly inappropriate and sexist. Not going back.

To say that the guy behind the counter isn’t a «people person» would be accurate. So that’s what I’m saying. I’m pretty sure he was the owner of the place, too.
I walked in with the GF and saw a deal on the board for two slices and a drink, which I figured we could split. No such luck. The guy said he’s not offering the deal to us. He explained, «We’re especially not offering deals with the Air Show in town.»
Forgive me for my INSANE assumption that the deal that you put on the monitor above the cash register, which I might add you could turn off at any time, would apply while an event was happening in the same city. Because, you know, all great businesses cancel any deals they are offering if there is an unrelated event somewhere out there. Duh.
So I forked over the $ 15+ for two slices and a Gatorade and waited for the pizza to be reheated. Yeah, it’s reheated. Meanwhile, the GF says she’ll wait outside since it’s only 80 degrees out there and about 90 in the restaurant. The guy looks at me and starts laughing and insulting her, saying things like, «Couldn’t take the heat, eh? Man she wouldn’t last five minutes in the back with the ovens.»
What am I supposed to do? Go along with your wink-​and-​nudge-​about-​the-​old-​ball-​and-​chain routine? It’s hot in your restaurant. I didn’t want to be in there either, but someone’s gotta wait for this food to make its second pass in the oven.
The only thing that saves this place from getting the one-​star smackdown from my Unilocal palm is that the pizza is actually really good. Despite being reheated, the toppings are interesting and the Bacon Mac n’ Cheese pizza was just the artery-​clogger I was looking for.
My guess is that this place stays in business due to the wealthy drunk crowd that frequents the area on a nightly basis and gets a little too cavalier with their wallets. And believe me, it would make excellent drunk food. But for the price I paid, I could have gotten a full pizza from plenty of places close by without having to deal with the owner’s shenanigans.
