They’re definitely closed, drove all the way downtown for lunch Monday and closed, No signs, No notice if relocation, nothing… any info, please post it.

Not sure when this was reported as closed, since I was just there the second week of June and they were definitely open every day that week. I’ve been here multiple times, trying their salads and sandwiches and have always been happy with their quickness to table and the efficiency in ordering. The only complaint I would have is that to have to order yourself and serve your own drinks, it’s a bit pricey. I think it’s primarily priced this way because it’s so close to the Mag Mile, but in a pinch when you’re looking for classically good food at a relatively decent price, it’s better than the Subway or McDonald’s in the same area.

This a good fast casual place to get pastas and pizza. I have been coming here for a number of years and the food is consistently good for a chain restaurant. Whether you want a healthy option, vegetarian or let the calorie count go through the roof, this place has plenty of options for you. The prices are reasonable. They server booze as well.

This place is right by my school, so I come here for lunch/dinner all the time. It’s quick, cheap and tasty. They do this awesome«Go for 2» thing where you can make a soup/salad/pizza/sandwich combo. Pepperoni on wheat is delicious. Pear and walnut salad is really good too. They have surprisingly good alfredo for a chain restaurant. They have servers, but it’s not like a typical restaurant. You order at the front counter, they give you a number, you get your drink, you pick your table and they bring the food to you. The server will check on you, so tip them! Free wifi without a password too!

Best place to go to when you are trying to stay in shape and eat healthy and not feel guilty about eating out. Great prices and the portions are right to fill you up. The wine is good and that Pop machine works wonders with the drink combinations. If you have kids, its good to take them Saturday and Sunday at this location because they eat free. Don’t forget to get the goroma card because you earn discounts and drinks on your purchases. Stay away from Jill if she is still there, she looks like a bad supervisor due to the way she treats the employees but that negativity does not transfer to the customers. I will keep going to this location and the one in Northbrook and Bolingbrook.

While Go Roma is a chain, this location is the only one in Chicago. It’s kind of like a Panera Bread, only lots of pasta. You can make a soup/salad/sandwich combo. There are a ton of healthy options(and you can switch out your fries for salad!). I got soup and salad. Both portions were huge and everything tasted fresh. I liked that there were peas on my salad, it was an interesting addition! The prices are very reasonable(under $ 10 a person) and they also serve beer and wine(I think). They were not very busy, but I did go after lunch rush on a weekday. Service was wonderful! Service was great! They don’t really wait on you, but there is someone who brings you your food and then clears your table(so don’t forget to tip!) While it is slightly out of the way for me, if I was ever in the area I would eat there again.

Do– the Go For Two options everything under 8.99 and get a carafe of wine — only slightly more than a glass but you get 3 plus glasses out of the carafe

People on this site/app need to learn how to rate. You list remarkable reviews, then give 3 stars. You aren’t a food critic. You are giving stars based on your experience, not on what level you think the restaurant falls into. That said, GoRoma is great for a quick pick me up. Food is delicious, staff checks in on you and those that are walking around are always polite. I only took one star off because the guy at the register was a little standoffish. Would recommend.

We shared double size shrimp Alfredo pasta and meat balls. Pretty tasty and pasta is well cooked. Meatball was really good. Soda machine is a nice addition to the place

Inexpensive, fast and tasty. Great for a quick lunch or dinner to go. I’m a fan of the Pear and Walnut salad, the tomato basil soup and they even have a gluten free pasta which can be tough to find at a casual dinner place like this. The staff is always friendly and accommodating.

I think this place is wonderful for a quick lunch during the work week. The portions are good sized and the food is tasty. They even offer beer and wine and have a patio too. Great find, for a good quality meal that’s affordable and fast!

Sure, this is probably a 3.5 star joint, but it does what I need it to do so it gets the full four. The food is good. The salads taste like better-than-average salads. The pasta is better-than-average pasta. And the prices(for Chicago) are better-than-average. The deal where you can get ½ salad, ½ sammich, ½ pasta and pick two is, you guessed it, a better-than-average deal. Decide to order a soft drink? Be prepared to have a better-than-average soft drink from their super-neat Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. But what of the service, you may ask. Well, it’s better-than-average. Maybe even much-better-than-average when it isn’t lunch rush time. So yeah, I’ll take it. I’m a fan.

My go-to place for a quick lunch near the law school. This place reminds me of a corner bakery, but with slightly more selection. It’s mainly pizza, pasta, salads, sandwiches, but also serves a limited selection of alcohol. For its balance of quality, quantity, and price of food… well, it really is not very expensive. The staff has always been beyond friendly, and the wait has never been too long. During the week, the restaurant is a great place to go to for lunch. I have never had an issue finding seating, nor felt overwhelmed by the chitter-chatter of other patrons. However, on the weekend, it can get pretty crazy. Perhaps it’s the proximity to MIchigan Avenue coupled with the price, but both times I have attempted to go on a weekend, there has been no seating, and I have resorted to ordering take-out. Don’t be deceived however, I have never been annoyed at the fact that there is no seating. The staff has always made the people waiting feel at home, and pleasantly asked for their patrons to be patient.

Go Roma is more of a fast food like Italian place. Overall the food was average, as expected. My pasta was pretty good, but would have been better had they put much more sauce on it. The bruschetta was OK, but something I would not order again. I would try Go Roma again when I’m looking for a quick inexpensive bite to eat.

I love Go Roma! My work caters from them every few months and they never disappoint. My favorite is the rigatoni Country-style and Corkscrew Chicken Marsala pasta –delicious! I’ve never actually stopped into the restaurant, so I can’t comment on the service, but catering is never a problem. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for something warm and filling to feed a large group.

I still remember the day that M told me about this place. She explained that she always underestimated this fast food Italian place, a la Panera or(lesser known) Massa. M went in with low expectations and has now visited a couple times with delight. She even liked their fish(which is really saying something). My first visit was today for lunch. The ordering counter is much smaller than I expected. I arrived before my lunch partner and had time to muse over the menu, mounted on the wall above the counter. The girl working at the counter was less than enthusiastic, but did her job dutifully in between checking her phone. My lunch partner order a salad. He raved about the flavor of the greens and Go Roma’s vinaigrette dressing. I must say, it definitely looked tasty to me too. The chicken slices looked like an appropriate quantity. I ordered a cup of tomato basil soup and some burnt caramel gelato. It was nice that the cashier girl offered to give me my gelato later, when I finished my soup. The soup was really yummy(and served super hot). It was flavorful, buttery, and a nice interjection of fresh basil. I liked the chunkiness of the soup. The gelato was very sweet, kind of gooey, and a generous portion. I ate the entire cup, but it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had. I expected burnt caramel to be more interesting in flavor, but it wasn’t. I also really didn’t like the stickiness of the gelato. I definitely prefer gelato from other places better. The service was okay at Go Roma. They gave us a number to post on our table and then brought our food to us a few moments later. My soup came first followed by the salad. For whatever reason, the server was confused about where to deliver the salad. The register girl must have entered two different numbers for our table but only given us a single number. Someone came and checked on us and offered to clear our table. Nobody brought my gelato(and considering the absentmindedness of the register girl) and I was concerned that my gelato would be MIA. I went back to the register to get it myself(no problems). On our way out, a manager-looking man smiled at us and invited us to return.

Restaurant Review Fast food italian to «go»! I can’t say that I have ever tried anything beside the planks of flat bread pizza, but they are definitely above average. Usually I head out to Go Roma for a quick pizza bite without the long wait. The pizza are relatively thin crust and topped with cheese and fresh ingredients(we went with the smoked chicken which had fresh chicken, carmelized onion, mushrooms, and mozzarrella + italian sausage which had mozzarella, red peppers, sweet red onion, parsley, and tomato sauce). These pizzas are perfect if you like a crunchy crust with light toppings, however if you eat it plain without Parmesan cheese and hot peppers the smoked chicken was rather bland and lacking taste. This was made worse that the smoke chicken was a few degree cooler than the italian sausage that was perfectly seasoned. Our recently meal was BOGO with the bears monday night football special which cut down on the cost, but full price 13. xx for a full plank is pricey but it will fill you up. One day I will get around to trying the pasta, sandwiches, and salads. Another cool feature was the soda/water machine which is completely digitalized and looks like a jukebox. Check out the photo :) Pro– carry out pizza in streeterville, fast service, fresh ingredients, no need for gratuity, thin crust Con– ½ of our order was lukewarm by the time it arrived, slow service Hidden deal– sign up for eclub for BOGO deals, free meal on your birthday. Buy a Go roma rewards card for 2 dollars and they give you 3 dollar credit. Also you get 1 point for every dollar. 100 points = 10 dollars.

Okay, so to be honest, I am a little biased because they gave me free food! LOL! When I moved to Chicago I came here one day and they pushed their loyalty card on me. To be honest, I am sucker for loyalty cards, points, miles, punch 10 get one free, etc., so I signed up. Well, a few days ago, I got an email wishing me a Happy Birthday and a free entrée! Nice. I mean Boston Market gave me a free desert and Caribou was a free coffee(albeit ONLY on my birthday), so it was nice to get something so substantial. The food is good here — you can pick your pasta, pick your sauce, pick your meat and make your own creation. As others have mentioned, the pick and mix your soda machine is super cool. You can select and mix a wide variety of sodas. Who knew Raspberry Coke Zero would be so good! The staff are great — always smiling! I have never had an issue with any of them. They have free wi-fi, just ask them for a code. So, if you every stop by, sign up for their loyalty card. Its well worth it!

Their vegetarian selection is pretty limited so I was pretty disappointed with that part but the mozzarella panini + tomato bisque soup that I DID get was delicious! It was way more food than I expected, which is always a plus. The soup came with a roll of bread + croutons and the panini came with these amazing«fry sticks» which I had to hand off to a friend or I would have devoured the entire 490 calorie bag. Price-wise, the half portions are very decent but the full sizes are a bit overpriced. Either way, I can’t believe I’ve been going to the LUC water tower campus for 4 years and JUST discovered Go Roma! I could’ve been eating deliciously fattening food for much longer.

I am going all Amazon here-not the female warrior, but the dot com. Forgive me. If you like Panera, you might like Go Roma. Why? It looks like Panera and it has a convenient $ 6.99 combo lunch, where you can have ½ sandwich, pizza, or salad with a bowl of soup. If you like Pompeii Bakery, you may like Go Roma. While you don’t get to eyeball the food here, you do order at the front, and then the food is brought to you, and your table is cleared by staff. No trays. No plastic baskets. Good food on real plates. And friendly gracious staff. If you like panninis, and you like Chicken Parmesan, you might like their pannini version of the old fast food Italian classic. Mine was delicious. Thin battered breast meat, with just the right amount of sauce, cheese, and pepperoncini. Ini overload. I especially liked the fries. Narrow shoe-string style. Very crispy and lightly battered or coated. Fresh, nummy, and crispy. If you like having lunch around Water Tower, where you are not packed in like sardines, without long lines of loud youngsters, where you actually get served and can sit and enjoy your lunch or dinner comfortably, then you would definitely like Go Roma. Everything Italian, with a limited but interesting menu, and all under $ 10.00.
