Food: Modern Midwestern menu incorporating seasonal ingredients in shareable snacks and larger plates to create an elevated yet approachable dining experience. We rely on long standing relationships with local farms and purveyors, such as Slagel Farms and Sparrow Coffee.
Cocktails: Created by Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry of The Dead Rabbit with GreenRiver’s Head Bartender Julia Momose (formerly of The Aviary), the cocktail menu shares the stories of famous and infamous Irish-American Chicagoans. The menu is organized by the raw materials used for distilling spirits — rye, corn, barley, agave, wheat & oat, sugarcane & molasses, grape and apple, and juniper — and each is given a personality type inspired by the flavor profile.
Complementing the cocktails is an extensive selection of Irish and American whiskey, including bourbon and rye, Scotch, and Japanese whisky, as well as an approachable wine list and 12 beers on tap, predominantly from Chicago breweries.

GreenRiver is a restaurant and bar that brings exceptional cocktails, seasonal American fare and a beautiful outdoor terrace to Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood. Cocktails draw inspiration from the Irish Americans who helped transform Chicago into the mighty metropolis it is today. Seasonal dishes range from snacks to plates, offering guests the option to sample a few bites at the bar or enjoy a full dinner. GreenRiver is a collaboration between the Best Bar in the World team of Jack McGarry and Sean Muldoon (The Dead Rabbit) and Danny Meyer’s Union Square Events.
