If I could give him 0 stars I would. Dr Hanson was very tough with his hands and is a rip off. He charged my insurance $ 1000 for a procedure that literally took him 5 minutes. When my insurance wouldn’t pay him because they didn’t feel the procedure he did was warranted after he submitted blurry X-rays to them, he turned around and sent me a bill for $ 1000! I had to argue with his incompetent office staff– Marisol specifically, who kept saying she d get back to me and would never call me back. I had to go out of my way several times to call her after not hearing from her for days on end. When my general dentist called dr Hanson and informed him that the procedure he did was indeed unnecessary, dr Hanson refused to refund me the near $ 500 I had paid out of my pocket for his faulty unnecessary work and instead tried to offer me a credit at his office. Why the heck would I trust to have him do work on me again and cmon, it’s not like he’s a bakery or a clothing store, so what good is giving me a credit to a dental office going to do? This office is a bunch of crooks– with poor customer service skills and they personally only care about getting your money and doing 3 min procedures that are unnecessary just to bill your insurance a really high price and when insurance won’t pay because the work is deemed unnecessary, they’ll turn around and jerk you and smack YOU with an expensive bill. Save your time and money and go elsewhere of your teeth needs!

This dentist spent about 3 minutes during my «consultation» for TMJ pain. He didn’t do any xrays or MRIs. He referred me to an «expert» in TMJ physical therapy, who spent 6 weeks working on me, only to leave me in as much or more pain than before.(See my review of Physical Therapy Renaissance). I next went to a reputable oral surgeon, who spent an hour assessing my issue, did xrays, ordered an MRI, and gave me a completely different diagnosis. Seems Dr. Hanson and his PT colleague had been treating THEWRONGSIDEOFMYJAW. Together, they wasted 2 months of my time, as well as $ 1,000 in total billings. Maybe it was all a fluke, but I’d never go back.
