I Weinberg Hosiery

I shopped here sunday and bought the usual wheelbarrel loadful of socks. It’s a modern mystery why anyone in this greater metropolitan area chooses to buy their socks anywhere else but I Weinberg. On sunday I parked free on the streets south of roosevelt rd (roosevelt itself is the southern border of paid downtown street parking on sundays, so just drive a few feet south of there and you can do Weinberg plus the Maxwell St flea mrkt on foot in one free fell swoop)

I stopped in here to get some new socks because the current pair I was wearing was on it’s last leg because it had more holes than swiss cheese. I came here before, but it’s been a while. My only issue is that some of the socks that are sold don’t have the size marked on them. People should be able to come in and buy the size they need for themselves and those they’re buying socks. You can also buy underwear as well, but I don’t wear the stuff they have and it would help to have a broader selection in underwear since not every woman wears boy short panties and under wire bras. Keep in mind that if you pay at the front it’s cash only. There’s a register in the middle of the room where you can pay as well. You have to ask if they accept credit card as payment. They also sell dishcloths and face towels which is helpful since many people are paying too much for face towels and dish rags. I tell people all the time that this is the place to get some inexpensive socks, t-​shirts, face and dish towels. You would be better off not driving since it’s in an area where parking can be a problem but it’s worth it if you want some good priced socks. I’ll come back for socks anytime I need some since it’s cost friendly and you can get a deal on packs of socks. Definitely check this place out!!!

The socks from this location bring on a veritable footgasm. They’re softer than a baby’s bottom and incredibly absorbent. I would cloth my children in these readily!

What does it say about my life when I’m borderline ecstatic about finding a place where you can get three pairs of mismatched/​slightly imperfect socks for a dollar.
Ugh.
