Medicare was charged $ 324 for an air cast. research shows an average price of $ 100 for this EXACT same cast, including the manufacturer’s website. Buying in bulk, as I am sure IBJ does, the cost is probably cut in half. IBJ has found this glitch in Medicare and is exploiting it. Shame on them cheating me and the American government.

I had an 11:00 appointment. Arrived 15 minutes early as advised to fill out forms. It’s now noon and I’ve yet to see a doctor. Why are we required to pay doctors for horrible service when it wouldn’t fly in any other industry. I’ll update if I EVER see the doc.

I am being treated by dr. Craig Weston at Illinois bone and Joint institute. Let me start by saying how professional and thorough his entire team is. I had an unfortunate accident at work which eventually required me having a total knee replacement. Dr Craig was very personable and methodical throughout the entire process, from pre-​op to surgery and post-​operative therapy. I was well informed and there were no surprises. Not only Dr. Craig but his office manager Juanita, made sure I had all the information necessary, she also made the transition of info to the insurance company professional and painless on my end. All my pre-​op calls were answered promptly and with utmost courtesy. Dr. Craig’s surgical team was top notch. They were john Jeske, PA-​C and Dr. Jonathan Lester orthopedic resident. The surgery was done at Weiss Hospital in Chicago, and my experience through out the entire ordeal was also done professionally and respectful. I am currently 3+ weeks post-​op and my recovery is doing better than expected. Total knee replacement surgery has become more common these days but the treatment I have received, the courteous service and level of professionalism is far from common that I have been receiving from dr. Craig and his entire team at Illinois bone and joint.

I saw Dr. Westin for a torn MCL injury. He was knowledgable and attentive to my injury, but BEWARE. He provided a knee brace and clearly stated the cost of the brace would be covered by my insurance. But 1 month later I received a ridiculous bill for the knee brace. And this was not a high tech knee brace, just a simple compression brace. Lesson: Avoid Illinois Bone and Joint and always find out the cost of equipment before you leave the office.

I saw Dr. Kaz for a foot injury late last year. I primarily picked the doctor for insurance and location, and was really pleased. Both Kaz and his staff was very efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Hopefully I don’t have any more bone or joint injuries, but if I do, at least I know who to see.

Dr Kaz and his staff are awsome. I would recommend him to anyone.

Physical therapists are good but charges are outragious!!! They work 3 patients at a time. I have never seen any physical therapist or even chiropractor with a doctorate degree charge that much. And, they waste no time to send you to collections if you don’t pay promptly in full. Beware of your credit score if you go there.

Dr. Kaz had been treating me for a fractured foot that I got from a car accident. My fiancé feels that he is a little too serious and stern, but so far I find it refreshing and have been very impressed by his professionalism. I was referred to Dr. Kaz by my primary because of his experience with foot surgery. As far as putting my health and wellness into someone’s hands goes, I completely trust Dr. Kaz and his ability to get me back to 100%.

I have seen Dr Kaz and Dr Leahy here and I have had great experiences. They are compassionate and they were willing to take on my complicated feet. I would definitely recommend them!
