Very charitable company! Autism Speaks sincerely appreciates their support by donating their moving services to bring a conference room table and chairs to our office. We couldn’t have done it without them! Carlos Ortiz was very professional and always kept in touch with any updates. Will definitely recommend to friends and families! THANK YOU!

They are the best movers by far. Hard working and hustlers. This is our fourth time using them. Made our moving day as easy as possible. Would highly recommend them.

Wasn’t so bad, I had an easy move with only a few dressers and a bed/​frame however the dresser was a bit damaged. Otherwise they were on time and moved quickly.

Paul, John, Chris and Phil all get 5 stars. Eli and the scheduling issues get a one. Had us backed up a day not showing up on Saturday and getting there finally on Sunday. The guys busted their butts and did a very good job. We had more than expected and still were fair with pricing. Get the scheduling thing fixed and it will be 5 stars all the way. Thank guys.
Just an update. Finally all settled in. I received a call from the owner a few days later. He sincerely apologized for the issue. He graciously offered a gift card as an olive branch. Would I use them again? Possibly. If I could get the first one of the day definitely.

Recently used In & Out Moving. EXTREMELY unprofessional and unorganized. The movers were 2 hours late! Unknowingly to the rest of the crew, two of the movers walked-​off the job and left my furniture in an unsecured area. Two of the guys did not show up to take the articles off of the truck until two hours after the first team arrived. (They blamed it on getting lost???) They did not protect the carpeting, nor did they properly wrap the furniture. They had to pay a repair person because they destroyed and broke up so many items, including significant non-​repairable scratches on my black lacquer baby grand piano. Customer satisfaction is not their priority. I’ve used several moving companies and by far, this company was responsible for the worst moving experience ever!!! Tried to resolve one last time, but never heard from the owner/​manager?
The movers were nice, but…

Chris, John and Edwin made my move even easier than I expected and were very professional. Choosing a mover is difficult because you’re putting all your trust in them and they were incredibly reliable and used great time management. Highly recommended by me and I’ve already told two friends moving soon. Thx!

In & out moving was amazing, they were efficient and very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. They drove my couch from Naperville to downtown as well as Brought it up to the 21^st floor along with 10+ other items in under 3 hours. They were also very affordable. I 100% recommend them.

In & Out Moving & Storage’s management is EXTREMELY unorganized. My roommate and I stored our things overnight and were only moving five blocks. They were 3 hours late, they did not label, count or tag any of our items and they LOST over half of our items all the while delivering them 2 hours late the next day.
The movers themselves are nice and helpful, but Carlos and Ellie (managers), have no idea what they are doing. They split up our belongings into two trucks and did not care or help in finding them.
I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Moving five blocks was one of the most difficult and expensive experiences I have encountered thus far — and I moved all the way from Texas over a year ago.
Use ANY other moving service.

I read good reviews and hired them, but it was the absolute worst experience for many reasons.
I moved from Chicago to NYC in May. A few things happened during that move on 5÷8÷15:
1. They did not deliver 3 boxes. I contacted them that day to let them know the boxes were missing. I also called the driver that night to see if any boxes were left in the tuck — he said no. Then finally on 5/​14, after a lot of back and forth with unhelpful customer service reps who cannot be reached by telephone, I received an email with pictures of my boxes. I confirmed that they are mine and asked for them to be delivered. It took until ⁵⁄₂₁ to receive received the boxes. At this point it is past the agreed 10 business days to deliver them. No apologies were made for this inconvenience.
2. I had the movers put my 46″ LCD TV in it’s original box and pack it for the move. It was fully functioning before the move and was only a few years old. When we took the TV out of the box on ⁵⁄₈ and plugged it in we found that the entire TV screen was cracked. There should not have been any reason for this to happen as they packed it up for me. Pictures are available to show the damage.
3. I unpacked a box that had a pillow at the bottom. As I pulled out the pillow I smelled something like urine. Holding the pillow closer I noticed yellow stains on the bottom and on the box. My fiancé confirmed that it was definitely urine like. I couldn’t even take a picture I was so disgusted. I just threw it all away.
After all this I tried to talk to the company about compensating for the TV and what they can do about my lost/​ruined things. All they said was to file a claim with
. It is now July 29, 2015 and I have not heard from In & Out moving and only received an email from Moving Claims saying they received my claim — which btw can only be sent in through postal mail.
Do not hire In & Out Moving.

Our team was lead by Antonio Green and he was very efficient, professional and friendly. We didn’t require packing or set up but the team took great care of our things. There wasn’t a lot of stuff to move and the drive from Chicago’s west side to Aurora was longer!
There are some things that the company needs to work on and that’s in the area of payment. It took far too long to pay for the move! Issues with phones… I mean if I’m using the same card used to make the deposit, why the hold up? I offered to call the company to pay over my home phone but I was told the driver had to do it.
Overall a good experience and everything arrived in excellent condition.

I used In & Out Moving & Storage to move 0.4 miles in Chicago March 2015. Before even getting everything loaded into the truck one of the crew members somehow managed to break 4 bottles of Scotch. Upon inspecting the bottles, which the crew member brought to me after they were broken, it was apparent that the bottles had to have been dropped from a considerable height for all 4 bottles as they were shattered into a million pieces. He halfheartedly apologized and continued to move my belongings while I dealt with the broken glass and the team lead informed me that the alcohol was not covered under their liability coverage/​insurance.
The broken liquor bottles however were the least of my problems that day as the crew somehow managed to break my 42″ LCD TV in the 0.4 mile journey. The TV, which was in perfect condition prior to their removing it from apartment number 1, looked as if someone stood on it and subsequently put their foot through the screen upon arriving at apartment number 2 (pic —
). The crew lead then assured me that the TV would be covered by the company insurance as it was wrapped, transported, and broken while in their care so I remained calm and paid the cost of the move as the instructed me (no discount was offered to make up for damages to property).
I have held off on providing a full company review so that I could see if the company would compensate me for the damage to my property and submitted a claim to the company’s insurance within a week of my March 20^th move. After waiting 3 months for a response I received a notification from the insurance provider that they would only reimburse me $ 62 for my TV (which cost me $ 600 to replace)!
While crew itself was friendly, their level of professionalism was very low based on the manner in which they handled my belongings and the subsequent dealings with the company and their insurance provider. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone looking to move and would STRONGLY recommend using a more professional service provider. In the event that you do utilize this company I would recommend taking out additional insurance coverage as you are not and will not be adequately covered under In & Out Moving & Storage’s coverage policy.

Let me start this review by saying DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I will keep this concise as I could write 10 pages about how completely and utterly terrible this company is. Here are the highlights:
–This company is run by a guy named Ariel. He is absolutely not to be trusted. He will lie to your face and is one of the worst people I have ever come across.
–I paid $ 1,500 to have my belongings delivered within a guaranteed window. Of course, they missed that window by two weeks. I am still trying to recover this money and it’s almost been 12 months since the date of my move.
–MOST of my belongings showed up damaged. In fact, they pretty much ruined everything I owned of any value.
–They use all of the slimiest tricks in the books. They won’t let you pay with Amex, you have to pay the majority of the move in cash upon arrival and they won’t unload your belongings until you pay them, they have some sketchy disputes department that I highly doubt is actually real that doesn’t answer the phone, and worst of all the owner is rude and will stop at nothing to screw you over. A number of my friends used this company as well and they all had similar experiences.
–DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY

If I could rate the movers and management of In & Out Moving and Storage separately, I would. Eric and his crew were phenomenal when they picked up the contents of my one bedroom apartment on May 30^th. They were quick, efficient, and had my apartment into storage in less than an hour. These guys are hard workers and do not deserve the rating I am giving this company.
After the pick up I had arranged for storage at their facilities for approximately 36 hours due to a property company who would not let me move out on the morning of June 1^st. Carlos said this would be no problem at all, and I signed a confirmation form for delivery at my new apartment 8 AM on June 1^st. On May 31^st I received a call from Ariel asking me if they could make a delivery on June 2^nd because the trucks were having «technical difficulties.» I told him I signed a document confirming delivery on the morning of June 1^st and had already arranged for the day off of work, so this would not be a possibility. I travel for work and arranged to be available on this day only. He scoffed at me and said he wished I would be «more understanding.» I assume he expected a young female to be agreeable and passive, but there is a reason I asked for an early, Monday morning delivery on this particular day – because I was not available at any other time this week. Later in the day he called me and said that they could deliver my belongings between 4 PM and 6 PM, which I told him was also unacceptable. I had signed an agreement for 8 AM, and needed my belongings as close to 8 AM as possible. He told me he understood that I was upset but he was also upset because he «lost men in a terrible accident.» First it was technical difficulties, and now there was a terrible accident? He said he would be understaffed, and if I asked if this actually meant that he perhaps overbooked clients for this day. He snapped and told me this company did not overbook and would have full staff. First it was understaffed and then they would be at full staff? I said if they would be at full staff then I should be able to get my belongings at 8 AM – the time on the agreement I signed – because I had to have been one of the first appointments that morning. At this point I was irate due to how rude he had been since we first spoke in the morning. Then Ariel said he «did not want to have to get on my level.»
My furniture was delivered after 6 PM on June 1^st by Daniel and his crew. Again – the movers are amazing! They were professional, friendly, apologetic, and quick. It’s not these guys who are the major problem, it is management.
This was by far the most unprofessional and ignorant company I have ever done business with, and had they not promised they could handle my situation, I would have taken my business to somebody who could have. I seriously regret my choice selecting them for this move.
Any employee understands that sometimes uncontrollable things happen, but when we find ourselves in a pickle, we try our best to accommodate our clients. Instead of trying his best to get my delivery to me as close to the original time as possible on Monday morning, he was incredibly rude to a customer paying for not one, but TWO moves, within 72 hours. Just be honest to a customer and say you are overbooked and understaffed instead of being rude and defensive, ya know? I will NEVER use this company again and I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

Well, it is the first time we use moving company and we are moving from Illinois to California. The good part is that all my stuffs were delivered within 10 days, nothing was broken or lost.
But the whole moving experience is terrible.
The date they called me and told me that my stuffs arrived and I was so happy.
First they told me they will arrive between 12:00 and 4：00 PM. I waited four hours and they still didn’t arrive. I call them again, and they said they will be my apt at 5 PM. Long story short, they didn’t arrive until 9:00 PM. Yes just five hours late. Who damn will move stuffs at 9:00 PM??? I felt so bad but I have to let them move my stuffs in.
Read your contract carefully before you signed it. We ordered the packing and unpacking service. At the very beginning we didn’t want to order the unpacking service. But we were told we have to order the unpacking as well because it is a package. Fine, we did that so that they can be covered by the insurance. Yes be careful, the moving insurance only cover stuffs that are packed by the movers.
They sent three movers to move my stuffs out but they only sent 1 mover to deliver my stuffs and he arrived after 9:00 PM!!! When we ordered the service, they said theirs staffs will pack and unpack everything. For example, they will assemble all my furniture and put them back to the places they belong to.
However the poorer mover barely moved all stuffs at 11:30 PM and we have to do all unpacking by ourselves even we paid for it. And sure they didn’t assemble any furniture for us. We had to assemble our bed and spent days to unpacking all stuffs.

Our team was led by Julio and they were fantastic.
We have an overactive 3 year old son who was so interested in them and they were amazing with him and didn’t get frustrated at all– even though he slowed them down.
This is our second time using the service and we’d happily use them again and recommend them to others!

I highly recommend In & Out Movers, especially for any city moves. I’ve used them four different times now for various moves or projects for my business and without a doubt they are quick, professional, and treat your stuff like it’s their own.

Professional people who are attentive to the needs of your move. Whether you’re dealing with the office employees or the movers on moving day, everyone is accommodating and efficient.

Awesome experience from booking to delivery. Very professional and on time. They worked hard this 4 man team. They dealt with many flights of stairs and never a moan we had some humor along the way. Would definitely use them again. No damage in and out they live up to their name. Give them a try you won’t be disappointed. I will refer and use again. Wish I could have afforded a larger tip they earn it.
