Insure on the Spot

I love this place! Their staff is so friendly and have excellent customer service skills. They helped me find the right coverage for me! I’m very pleased with them and would definitely recommend them. If you’re looking for low rates and excellent service this is the place for you.

used this company for my 02 buick, depreciation in full coverage was not recorded on my renewal policy documents. then when i called to inquire a quote on my 2016 elantra, they wanted me to come in and provide bill of sale and could not adequately provide a quote. i think they’re ok if you flat out own your vehicle and it is not excessive to have replaced but remember you get what you pay for. i always support smaller businesses and sometimes your only paying for a name but when it comes to insurance and accidents you have a lot to lose financially, so dealing with them in the event of an accident or damage had me worried. when i wanted to cancel they said i needed a letter and said it could take 10 days to process after receiving then i would get a refund of my premium (i always paid my full 6 month premium) i do not understand how i couldn’t just drop a letter off? i fully understand needing written proof of my wishes but 10 days loss of premiums paid? i thought i could drop a letter off then they review and provide proof my insurance was canceled and i can wait on a check in the mail. that was the biggest problem. that and a 2.95 fee every time I paid with a bank account, credit card, debit card it did not matter. which i thought was odd. customer service lacks as well. always felt i should be more gratuitous that some of the people i spoke with were «doing their job» and i was more of an inconvenience. so all in all, if you drive infrequent own your car and it is not of much value get your full coverage here.

Absolutely TERRIBLE. I was required to get them through the company I bought my car through. I have paid my insurance payment on time for the past two months and both times, received a letter in the mail saying «10 Day Intent to Cancel». I call them up and ask why but all they can seem to tell me is «well, ma’am we see your payment here. We see you paid with a money order this month and Western Union this month. You really should just pay us online.»
When I asked if they needed anything from me if I wanted to switch companies, they were not surprised at all. Would not recommend at all.

I have had this insurance for many years. I went from having a 1991 chevy cavalier, to a 2010 Dodge Avenger. I’ve had my vehicle for the past 4 years and during this time I’ve had full coverage. This time around I guess the company thought that they were doing me a favor, WITHOUT ASKING, they lowered my rates by removing the comprehensive and collision coverage on a vehicle that I am still leasing. I have no idea why they did not call or emailed me.
Also, since I had already paid my initial renewal fee and in order for them not to have to refund me my money, instead of being covered for 20 – 40 15 in liability they brought it up to 25 – 50 25. This is bullshit!
As if that’s not enough when I call the company to complain about their service and the poor attention to detail, they don’t even give you good customer service.
Definitely not recommending. I really do believe that that little kid in the commercial is actually the person running this company.

You get what you pay for.
Insure on the Spot is a discount brokerage, which both their price and service reflect.
I’ve been insured with them for a few years and recently went through this sequence of events as my renewal came up:
1) Received a notice saying my carrier was no longer providing auto insurance. As a broker, IOTS would find a new carrier
2) Received a notice for my 2015 premiums
3) Paid in full
4) Received my insurance card
5) Received a notice saying I owed more money
— In checking my statement, it appears that the premium was higher than the initial statement, so they just sent me another bill. No confirmation that this was okay or anything.
6) I called them to ask what was happening. I was told that the statement renewal was «automatically generated» and that the carrier needed to be updated, resulting in a higher price. Seems odd given that the statement about the carrier no longer providing auto coverage came weeks before the actual notice. I said, «Fine. Whatever. Waive your online on on-​the-​phone $ 2.95 „convenience“ fee, and I’ll pay the balance.» The rockstar agent had to «check with her Manager» (reminded me of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry and Elaine are waiting for the Rental Car agent to «check with her Manager»). She came back and said they couldn’t do that, but they could extend the due date for the payment. I told her to tell her Manager she just cost them a customer.
7) Start looking for other providers.
They screw up my payment, then won’t eat less than 3 bucks to keep a customer happy? God forbid you ever get in an accident with these clowns. Their customer service is so bad trying to get a premium, I can only imagine how bad they would be if you had to submit a claim.

Absolutely the worse insurance in the world. A person insured with them ran a red light and hit my car. The driver admitted she was at fault. In speaking with the «claims adjuster» they will try to get in contact with the insured. They couldn’t and therfore my car can not be repaired. The insurance is a rip off and drivers be warned if anyone insured with this company hit you, they will not pay for repairs on your vehicle. Good thing no one was hurt or I’d be much more furious. I’ve already reported them to the BBB and the NAIC. I wich I could have given them a negative star warning.

I am so glad my family switched from Insure on the Spot. I cannot over emphasize how terrible their customer service is. You call and ask a question and the girls working there act like they are REALLY doing you a huge favor by even answering the phone. But forget about them giving you an answer. Instead they will «call you back,» meaning forget about you entirely. More than once they called us saying we didn’t make our payment, but when we check our bank statement, it shows the check was cashed. What a joke! When we were due to renew, and they demanded a significantly higher payment even though none of us had any tickets or accidents, we decided not to renew and actually found better coverage for less through another company. We don’t miss you, Insure on the Spot!

Ridiculous low quality service that does not cover JACK in accidents… Rob you of your money! Do not do service with Insure on the spot if you have it switch!

Im reading these other reviews and Im a little confused… aren’t they suppose to be reviewing the the agent and not the body shop or company? It’s a matter of asking the questions and understanding what coverage I’m getting. Anyways as far as this agency goes I love them. The staff has been awesome. They are really close to home, which is great and covient for me and I’ve been coming here for so long now that the woman at the counter knows me by name already. They’ve always worked with me to get the lowest rate and monthly payments and even helped me out with extending my payment this past December since Christmas had taken a toll on my wallet. With that being said, I highly recomend! I have a couple of my cousins insured here! :)

I have used Insure on the Spot for the last few years. They are helpful when I call and have really good customer service. I would recommend them to anyone in Chicago who needs auto insurance coverage fast.

I was insured for a year with them. Unfortunately my car was in a hit and run and damaged. I filed a claim, they had the tow truck driver pick up the car and break off a bumper! Then once in the shop it took WEEKS for it to be repaired and when it was out I noticed they never replaced anything!!! They just patched up the broken ones and that was it. I called them being my «agent» and never heard from them until of course I cancelled my policy and switched. NEVER EVER use them. It’s best to pay more for much better service.
